For those looking for the Axe to break barrels, note that it is different from the Hammer you get in the Cave. The Axe is an item you obtain in the Mayors house basement. You need to first complete the Cave to get the bridge and Hammer, then you need to build a bridge to the Mayors house at the north. (Note that the Mayors house basement is another complicated series of levels like the first Cave)

Basic Routing Of Game: Collect skulls to unlock next door. Dungeon 1 (cave) explore until you get hammer. Dungeon 2 (castle) explore until you get princess. End. Pro Tip: Die early. Use health potions late in the dungeons to avoid backtracking.

I think I finally understand why people are asking how to sharpen their swords. They don't understand that when one upgrades one gets stronger. To attack, simply walk into the enemy. It is essential when starting a section, to only go for the easiest one or two types of enemies, or you will quickly lose your health. If you see an enemy with grey markings over it, you are not capable of harming it at this time. Each new enemy attacked will provide you experience, and once you reach a new level, you are stronger and can battle more difficult opponents. If you click āzā then click the third tab, you will see your enemies and the order of difficulty. The easiest is Rat followed by Bat, etc. If you have any further questions, feel free to pm me.

Old woman quest badge - the old woman is in the house directly below the entrance to the mine - the house and mine entrance are on the left of the map after you come out of your own house - you need to get the water bottle and give it to the old woman. The water bottle is behind a scorpion two floors down in the mine - but to defeat the scorpion you will need to get your character to level 6, so you will need to go through quite a lot of levels of the mine killing the various monsters blocking the paths to buff your character up. When you die you teleport to your last save point, so it took me about 45 minutes to get the badge.

The water bottle is past the scorpion on the first dungeon layer (first tekeport layer, before second teleport layer).

dapolzin: If you read down the comments you will find my having posted a comment saying that I had wrote a walk-through for this game and that people can pm me with any questions. The comment got pushed down by people talking about a BOD for another game which wasn't working. (Those comments unrelated to this game should now be removed.)
These instructions assume that you have found your way through the rest of the Mayor's place, so I have abbreviated the steps. If you want more detailed steps, let me know.
To find the lever for the animal on āMĀ B17,ā you need to get to the far right upper stairs. I will remind you which final stairs lead there. On āMĀ B16ā you want the upper middle stairs where you have to pass the blue enemy. Once you get to āMĀ B17,ā travel to the far right upper stairs and use them. Then return, and before exiting the stairs, turn left into the wall, and pull that lever. Now you can rescue the animal.

The game for tomorrow's BOTD (Game of Thrones Ascent) doesn't exist and redirects to the Kong homepage. Also, remember to report people being racist/xenophobic.

@KeeperBvK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_Thrones_Ascent says "On October 5, 2018, it was announced that Game of Thrones: Ascent would be shutting down on January 3, 2019." Not sure how accurate that date turned out to be, but given that it's over 5 years ago, it's not surprising it's not working right now. Guess the BotD decision-making process doesn't include checking if the game still exists.

For BOTD, just go outside, enter shed, pick up 3 items and return to the house and talk NPC, can be done in 30 seconds

I cannot access tomorrow's BotD game (that Game of Thrones game). Has that been delisted? Is it only available in certain regions? When I click on it, it just takes me straight to the main Kong page. This is ridiculous. (Magirune 2 is great, meanwhile)

For old Old woman water quest, you have to find the water bottle in the cave (first dungeon), and bring it to the old woman (in one of the houses)

If anyone wants any information to help you with this game, you are welcome to pm me. I have made a [not short] walkthrough for hard mode for this demo game (normal mode could also use this information). Well, actually I made two versions. One was my way of numbering, with the Cave having floors of 1a - 1j, and 2a - 2j, etc., which because of taking screenshots of each page, I found to be easier for myself. The other I abbreviate the floors actually listed in the game. I also wrote a guide if someone just wants some basic information and tips. If someone just wants a few hints, I have written a few of those. I wrote the floors where the animals are located. I wrote the floors where the hearts are located. I also wrote the floors which have any hidden areas. In addition you can ask any specific question. If I forgot another desired category, let me know. Thank you Fluffy_Lotus for providing us this game. :)

Repeated it on hard, trying to remember how to get that last secret I got the first time.
Since I'm playing on hard, how do I get to the extra content? It just sends me back to the main menu when I reach the end.

Thefinalwraith: The axe breaks barrels (which are the items which look rather like double layered cake). They don't break stone. Neither does it break the larger more actual barrel shaped items which are on either side of the green parenthesis. If your axe isn't breaking the in-game barrels have you tried refreshing the page and trying again?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've gotten the axe but even with it equipped I can't break any barrels, is there something wrong with my save file, or am I missing something?

Too tiny. Zooming doesn't help much: 133% isn't enough and at 150% titles like cave floors disappear; cinematic mode is even worse. The game itself is nice, thanks.

So after the notes get taken away I have no idea where to go next. I can't touch anything in the Mayor's or the Volcano, I can't find any way past the monsters in either. There doesn't seem to be anything in any of the houses, the archeologist doesn't budge, Father is useless... Am I supposed to kill about a hundred spiders to level up so I can go against the scorpion or something? So far the game hasn't forced me to grind, so I don't think so, but I have no idea where else I could go.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wish the dev would put in a little compass that points to the nearest monster we haven't killed yet, I am stuck atm looking for my last scorpion

Purple skulls / ghosts in the first dungeons are pickable items, not an enemy that doesn't show health because it's unbeatable (only figured that out when I was missing 2 items and there were 2 'unbeatable' purple ghosts and an actual unbeatable scorpion.)

After the mayor ran off with the notes I have no idea what to do... also is there some way to turn off the sand storm?

First secret - well don't read this if you want the challenge of finding it - spoilers ahead - in the mine, ground level, from bottom left, up four, across four left to right, disappearing wall is the secret - but you will have to open the right levers on different levels of the mine before you can get to it

I made it further into the Cave (not Mine) and I'm worried how mazey it's gotten already. I'm not sure I can stomach the demo let alone a whole game of this. I remember playing Magirune 1 but no idea if I finished it.

To complete the old woman quest, get the water bottle (blue potion) in the second down floor of the mine, that is behind the first scorpion.

I thought it was a phenomenal game! As a little tip for the developer, I found it difficult sometimes to remember where all I had tried going, so maybe a way to mark the ground at least so I don't try the same dead end multiple times, or some sort of "map" the character can draw as the game goes? Also, I got pretty lost after the first dungeon and didn't exactly know where to go, so maybe having the mom or someonw else be a "tip" giver for what you need to do next or where to start. Thanks so much for a sweet game!

I got to the infinite grinding part, where the only way I have to level up is by killing the green blobs and being killed by them in return, and I lost interest.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh dear, I completed the game before completing the old woman's quest, I have no clue how to proceed on that one, found water but can't tell anyone about it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you run out of potions you just have to grind/die until you level up. Kinda annoying, would be nice to have at least 1 potion that respawns.

I'm completely lost in this game. I saved the dad, brought note to the mayor, but I can't kill anything in that dungeon. Can't get past the scorpion in the first dungeon. Can't do anything in the lava dungeon, can't find any of the animals that are supposedly loose. Maybe I'm missing something completely obvious, but it seems completely unplayable.

Finished it in an hour and a half or so and it was amazing. This is what kinds of games should be badged on Kongregate. 5/5
