I really want to up-rank this game, but the black screen of death makes that difficult to do. I come back every few days hoping to see an update that fixes that because I can't really progress from where I'm at as long as that's still an issue. If they do fix that, I'd happily rate this a 5-star game.

A machine gun, an anti tank gun and Rocket launchers can't finish a defend mission, but a man uses his knife to complete it easily.. LOL

Tip: If you don't want the chore of defending your outpost from attack, you can leave it, do another mission, and then defend it later on foot. You wont lose the area from not defending, just makes the threat go up a lot. I find it a lot easier to defend on foot. Plus, if you have militia and upgrades in tower defenses, the threat decreases slowly over time anyway, without you having to do anything.

I want the powers of invincibility of the workers to go to the people I am trying to recruit. It gets frustrating when they all die thanks to the mutant captain with the bazooka.

As always Fly Anvil made a great game, with new things inside :)
The only thing which is disapoiting for me is enemy's weakness. Even if you have only a full-upgraded pistol, most of them are killed in one shot... That was a good concept for insectonator but gamers (or a

Overall a very good game. There are however some noticeable bugs and gameplay issues. I concur with others who have said that the defending segments quickly become a chore. They also keep occurring even when there is 0% threat in an area. The requirement to have recruits be used up to upgrade the buildings means that you will constantly be on the lookout for lower level soldiers and builders. There should be some way to recruit people other than finding them in a mission. Or they should not be used up whenever you upgrade something.
Additionally, I've encountered several crash bugs either after or before missions. They seem to occur most often when loading a mission after having purchased an upgrade. This sometimes results, upon reloading the game, with my being equipped with a weapon that the game doesn't show my having purchased yet.

What a good surprise to discover that themachette is the best weapon in game! 240dmg/click + good armor + max health + taunt = easy!

i think the fifth lvl mutant is enough of a handfull that he doesn't need his private army of mutants and supermutants to be a challenge.

I first put 5/5 since i like the new additions. But while trying a hard game i encounter a few problems. The way to get people especially soldiers is way too hard/boring. Having low infection doesn't seem to reduce the chance you get attacked enough. Factories are useless unless to reach completion i guess. There is not enought building to reduce threat.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is flawed. I currently have my three starting areas at 0% infestation with a negative growth rate, and my cost per day for upgrades is high enough that I cannot make money to buy the upgrades needed to advance the game. I'm stuck racking up debt because factories are a terrible investment, upgrades can't be changed once they're bought (for the fourth game in a row - figure it out already), and monsters can't build up enough numbers to give me the income I need to escape the cycle. Another user mentioned that opening a new province before you're ready is a hassle. Well, fortifying your provinces too much is not only a hassle. It's game-breaking. What a disappointment for what is otherwise a fun game.

Some tips for everyone. After you get a Outpost, the weapons you *really* want on it are: Gatling gun, Sniper Rifle, mine thrower and the anti-tank cannon. Never EVER waste soldiers by getting 'outpost upgrade gunners'. Avoid doing the 'Frontier Outpost' for as long as possible, opening a new area before you are ready for it can be a big hassle. In established areas, get your Militia up and running, they help a LOT with keeping things under control, so you can fight in new areas.
If nothing of importance is happening and you can't upgrade.... RAMBLE!
While doing this, look everywhere, shoot everything and always be on the lookout for new recruits.

Well... to my experience:
Rage seems bugged. I noticed that because I fully upgraded pistol, which means I can one-shot-kill a few dudes and others go down with 2. Whenever I was in (fully upgraded) rage, same dudes took more hits. It seems that the rage fails to take something into account, be it the level of the weapon or the 2x calculus.
For some reason, the (second to last) upgrade allowing you to control(?) mutans, or maybe just buff them up and rage them, wasn't usable, not with the pistol or the pistol/shield combo. I get the message "wrong weapon, use pistol". (the 60% chance thingy, not the same as poisen)
Some Dudes (workers) get behin walls, rendering the mission impossible if you're unlucky enough to have less than 3 workers avaible because of that.
Other than that, great game. I couldn't use the bow, because the game bugged completely on me by the point I unlocked it. But I had alot of fun getting there. Now I insta-win as soon as I start over. Really buggy.

needs more engineers and the res is too low, especially for the night levels. Beyond that, its fun and has a nice difficulty level. One more request: fo the gate improvement, it would be nice if it could be upgraded, as it is ver weak, one wolf dude takes it out with one strike. Finished the game only using fully upgraded sniper rifle and machete. The machete is the best weapon in the game, does ridiculous damage, is lightning fast and gives you HUGE cash per kill. I was getting close to 10k cash per direct action mission, just cutting through mutants and zombies like they not even there. Even the bosses are easy kill: i took out the final mutant boss with just 1 mag of sniper to soften up and moved in for the kill with machete. Make sure you max out speed, stability and rage and machete is the best.

Ah, the special joy that comes from a save game disappearing for no particular reason. A general plea to every dev for every game: please provide a way to export and import save games because this happens way too much even for savvy players who do everything that's supposed to prevent it.

You can get a radar. It just isn't available immediately from the start. And fyi, there is occasionally a red arrow pointing towards zombies throughout your missions.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Desperately needs a radar or an arrow for finding the zombies after you've completed your main objectives. Really, really needs this.

Well I love this game as I loves the previous ones in the decision serie-
The outpost defend missions, however, are very annoying.

i'm sorry, but this game is just to much like the others before it, the midevil game was the only variant and the only one i actually enjoyed for its variance, the other two i liked for their origonality in style, but this just seems like a newer game of it, not enough changes. sorry for all the typos.
