Really enjoyed this game. Deserves badges. Chess is ancient but it always seems to generate new angles of exploring it.

It was a really good game. The two main problems I had were: 1. I wish the pawns had an indicator of which way they were facing. I never knew who I could or could not kill safely. 2. The only way I found to beat the queen required me to move to a place where the queen could "check-mate" me, only she made a dumb move to let me kill her instead. I can accept that the queen might make a "dumb" move resulting from us jumping over holes in the board, but I feel like we should not need to jump into a game-over spot and "hope" to win.

Great game. It's been a while since I've seen a game with this level of originality on Kongregate, and the level of polish on this game made it an easy five stars.

It would be nice if there were an autosave function, so I wouldn't have to start over from the beginning every time. Otherwise great game!

THAT IS THE GREATEST ENDING I'VE NEVER EXPECTED!!! As a hobby chess player with a rating of 1500elo this is one of the most fun puzzles I've done in a while

Glitch: Got a little confused at the final fight, ended up killing the queen, backtracking and finding the king out of his hidey hole and killed him. However killing him causes the last fight to restart with both king and queen alive again.

I'm genuinely impressed given how simple the concept is. Some sections, like the second fight against a white knight (didn't imagine saying it loud would sound so epic) were a bit janky and annoying, given how the enemy would just stick to you like glue. Overall though, It's simple yet compelling game. Fun!

That was really fun! Took me quite a few tries to get a sequence that worked for the last bit, especially when the movement pattern of the queen could change sometimes, but totally a 5/5 for me!

I quite liked the idea. The thick borders around the floating tiles made it hard to see how many spaces were between them at times. and I'm not sure exactly how the enemies moved. I just always moved so that I wouldn't be attackable and eventually I was able to attack them.

I hate chess... but I loved this! Would love to see this expand with a story. Reminds me of Ron Weasley's chess battle

i got stuck after the two bishops and cant see a single path forward, unless i missed an enemy. but i went all the way back and didnt find anything else i could do.

I don't like chess and could not make myself like this puzzle premise. It seems very well polished but I had no fun playing it. Gave up after the rook

Very nicely done. It would not have been as gratifying, if it had been drawn out, so the brevity of the game was a plus. I enjoyed it!

I love it, amazing puzzle, 5/5. Visuals: good enough, controls: simple, music: wow-such-tension. Ending is awesome. Good job!
