Great game. The weapon progression reminds me of Raiden, the flying down sections are a good addition, the background graphics are excellent. 5/5

very generic. the secondary weapons are a pain to control. flying upside down is annoying and how do the enemies magically reappear in 5 min. after a boss for the return trip?

not hard with the right combo of weapons. i used the spread shot to kill the waves of weak enemies, and lightning to take out the harder ones. and level up as much as possible. wouldn't mind the 15 extra points though

Primary weapons are boring.
Manually controlling secondary weapons is unnecessary and distracting.
There is often too much going on at once on the screen.
When you die, you only get 1 powerup back of each type, no matter what level you were. It should be scaled.
When you beat the first boss in each city, and go back the way you came, why do all the enemies miraculously come back to life?
Why do you fly from London to Sydney when another one of your destinations is Paris? Going to Paris first would obviously be faster.
The music is annoying.
This game is pretty much average for its type. I've seen much better.

Sorry for multiple post! After playing 2 stages, I realized what a shitgame this is. There was base-rape and spawn camp for everything. The great concept was just screwed in the ass by the gay AI. 1/5

I say its a pretty good shooter. There are some game deficiencies though. IE unable to pick up lives... mediocre weapons. The plot is good, but the weapon choice sucks badly. 3/5

LAME - MOUSE GOES OUT OF CONTROL AND SCREEN GOES CRAZY. I WISH GAME DESIGNERS WOULD ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAMES THEY MAKE. THAT WAY I WOULDN;T HAVE TO BE YOUR DAMN QA PERSON.

comon, its a great shooter in my opinion. ya a raiden spinoff but who says it's bad? 5/5 i would put a difficulty level though... There should be more shmups like this on this site!

If you run into a powerup showing your current weapon, you get stronger. But if you run over the powerup when it shows a different weapon, your weapon changes type but stays at current strength.
In addition, this has the traditional annoying mechanic that you can coast along with level umpteen superweapons, but the instant you die you're back to puny and you have to slog back to full power...

I LOVED 1942 on Nintendo. I would love this game if not for the W-A-S-D controls. I can't stand that. Mouse or arrows PLEASE.
Otherwise, its Fantastic. Due to the controls though, I gotta go 1/5. Sorry.
