Why do toys disappear??? Do the bugs eat them? It's not like they're cheap and just disintegrate. For hundreds of dollars each, they should have a lifetime effing guarantee!

You can only buy tier one bugs and most food and toys from the vendor in the stall across from yours. For the better food (the pills), the best toy (the slide) and some higher tier bugs you need to wait at the store screen until someone walks by has a hand over their head. The pills only make your bug grow faster, not larger. If the music gets to you go to options and reduce the volume all the way to the bottom. Now you have effectively muted the game. If you can't afford a better toy and your bugs might die of depression buy some watermelon to feed them. If you want to replace a toy you need to wait for it to decay then buy another. You can only have 12 bugs in the tank, but that doesn't include bugs you have for sale. If you don't want to look after higher tier bugs while you fill out the pyramid place them for sale at ridiculous prices.

Tips: Toys work passively, all you have to do is buy them and they will begin to improve your bugs happiness. That said you need higher stat toys to maintian more bugs. (ex. 3X +1 toys will not maintain a dozen bugs). The bugs move entirely randomly and will starve if this random path doesn't lead them into food. The best tactic I have found to alleviate the micro management is to move the speed to x4 and then move the bugs onto a pile of food. Their stats drop at 4x but they still move the normal amount. This means you only have to move them occasionally back onto the pile of food. As for fighting and racing your bugs stats are based in part on the size of the bug, the bug tier and the rest randomly. Higher tier bugs and older larger bugs have the advantage. Speed only affects your probability at victory in the race, it doesn't make your bugs move faster in the fight.

good game but maybe change the music. Its a hard game but its fun too. 5/5 because you did a very good job on it. I do believe some things could be made better but its a time consuming game and i believe thats a bit of what most people want. ( i know the song actually!! weird)

About time Kongregate got a Pet Sim Game. :) This was quite amusing, and I admired the simplicity and relaxation of it. Very nice work, fun, worth playing. 4/5

Cool game I liked it alot. Is it possible to buy that super strong bug with the giant pincers? Nobody seems to sell it..

Nice concept. However, food and bugs shouldn't just disappear, but there should be a message or other hint about what's happening; the way toys work isn't clear; it would be better if stats are shown above each bug, instead of having to hover on each one; the font is hard to read.

my higher tier bugs still have crappy stats :( while I guess it would be cool if stats are bred, it's still annoying to have low attack and speed on the 4th tier of bugs

Finished it 3/5. Some things which would make it more fun IMO: Randomize the order of each level of bugs, for replayability. Micromanagement of the age of bugs got old. Options: pick breeding pairs, or tag females to indicate when they are ready to breed. Clicking on bug droppings should not select the bug near them. Add a calendar, or other scoring system for how fast you get the ultimate bug. Add other goals for making money by a certain time, etc.

concept of the fighting seems a little off if it says a bug has more speed than the other how does it run slower than the one with less speed
is it because of age?
