The game looks quite promising, but I really don't get the combatsystem. How the hell does dodging attacks work? Moving my cursor does nothing but rotate the... whatever that red graphic is meant to be.
Hello Jigabachi88, thank you for playing and for your feedback.
- When the enemy is behind you, evade attacks by placing the mouse cursor opposite to the enemy fire (the red line) : prevent the red line from reaching the inner circle.
- When you're behind the enemy, place the mouse cursor over the enemy ship to bring it in the crosshair and fire when the enemy in the crosshair center.
Hope this help. If you can't defeat a given enemy, try to improve your ship.

@SadCookieCat: Just point the ship away from the rays ie, move your mouse way off centre in the opposite direction to the rays coming at you.

Really liked the game! I started neutral, and found that I had to be intentionally evil when I had the chance, since most of the regular actions in the game gave me light points. Gotta run the trade routes for cash, but that's all light, so you gotta kill the dissidents and give the dark cube to the Darkness just to keep balanced. I would have rather sold the cube, that seemed way more neutral, but I needed those evil points.

Okay, this combat setup is starting to get really frustrating. No matter what I do I end up defeated. Shooting is mostly okay if a little too fast-paced for my taste, but the whole dodging shots thing is something I'm just not getting at all. Nothing I do seems to make any difference to the outcome.

to get past lost document challange, just fight the pirates till they give up the doc. The last question has no right answer, they just looking for a fight, so give it to them. In the end, after blowing up a level 3 pirate, they give you the document
the pirate boss is not an honest man, there's no way to answer the last question right... you have to fight him (warning: make sure your ship is top level)

Is there a way get hostile with other side again?
I have already beat the game once at the side of darkness so I want to give it anothet try as the good guy - before the war I never went to Bogorath and everything went normal. I was able to fight the enemy, influance planets, etc. But then I went to Bogorath (in the middle of the war) and start doing their planet missions and bam, all of the sudden I can't join the fight and influance the outcome of the battle any more. And light items are just not manufactured to make any difference.

for evrybody who has trouble with fights: get yourself ship parts wuth highest speed, 4xlaser for 16k is good enough weapon but if u want more power use either 110k kinetic weapon 120k laser or any combination of 2 low heat weapons, in this game spped is evrything and weapon that can shoot is way better than one with much higher poer but that will jam after few shots

HEY! OI! DEV! LISTEN! Wrecks seem to have a problem. I went to one and then used it to get to Jaser since my engine wasn't strong enough by itself. And then, it disappeared. Now I'm stuck on Jaser and Higgut! There's no way back! I ended up selling the Cube of Darkness :P just to get money for the engine. In fact I still am stuck. Please help me!

Missile disadvantages: slow launch rate (thus, not so high DPS even if every missile hit) , good chance to be intercepted by CIWS (so, overwhelming missile power is NOT actually possible :# ), almost useless if enemy ship has overwhelming CIWS.
Laser CIWS : almost perfect intercept performance but generate heat.
Gatling CIWS : moderate intercept performance but almost heat-free.
(range of CIWS is shorter than ship-to-ship combat distance, so it cannot hit enemy directly)

5. Some FCS or aiming assistant robot to make the attackable center wide and so raise chance to hit the darn enemy.
Current dogfight system of this game is just a mimic of the first world war air combat. R-73 (the seeker can "see" targets up to 40° off the missile's centerline) is in service from decades ago, and F-22 and F-35 theoretically lock-on the target behind of them.
Thus 6. Missile weapon and CIWS.
Missile advantages: very high damage, very high attackable area (high Lvl missile can attack anytime, anywhere), very low heat generate (almost none for high Lvl thanks to the soft launch system), auto launch (does not need to click to attack and automatically attack whenever possible, so auto combat is possible if player can purchase overwhelming missile power).

Good game.
A rare ACTUAL game shining upon too much of p2w and idle games.
However, as always, there are some rooms for improvements.
Here is the list of what I think.
1. More impact upon reputation and level up. Discount on purchase spaceship parts (and extra upon selling) by high reputation. Likewise, high light level gives discount on light goods and defensive ship parts (e.g. shield), high dark level gives discount on dark goods and ofensive ship parts (e.g. weapon).
2. Categorized contracts instead of one 'Current' tab. e.g. Normal cargo delivery, Risk cargo delivery (illegal or unstable goods), etc.
3. An addtional UI to Dock for comparing ship parts from other (visited worlds) those are not in-sale at the current location.
4. Fill up threshold option for auto fill up (when fuel cost is cheaper than the threshold).
Hello Droiyan7, many thanks for your detailed feedback. We plan to improve the combat system in future versions. We already have a list of improvements of our own of course, but we'll very seriously consider your requests :) I especially like the auto fill up which might be convenient for many players, and the discount on ship parts based on light/dark level!

Pretty nice game.. I can see the potential in this if it were on a much bigger scale.. with better graphics and so on.. I like how we get to make choices, affecting the planets' alignment, etc.. Good job!

Good game, i like it. For the moment just one things to point at : The quest, has i fighter i got some marchant quest on my log who just stay as they are because i don't want to do.
Thank you for playing and giving feedback Niobandi :) we'll consider adding an option to refuse a contract in a future version, to improve contract list readability. We also want at some point to add missions for fighters and explorers.

I don't remember if I posted or not already. But I wanted to say, this game is wonderful. I love the many potential paths, I love the dialogue so far, and I think the trading is understandable and often very perceptive. I love all the information that is made available.

Hi, love the game. Great to have something to explore and enjoy in these days of idleness.
One pointer: the contracts menu seems to switch to French while I'm playing in English. Je suis bilingue donc ça me gène pas... ;)

also the plant NA-1 doesn't exist for me after i defeated the morgan pirate (bought 4 kinetic 1800 dmg heat: high just to get that instant kill on that guy annoyed the crap out of me) and now i can't get my reward (not that i really need it but yea know its missing well for me at least)
PS: i like your game its good...#really good

We've published a new version... if you still have load/save issues, please e-mail us at : srg@fremencorp.com or use the Kongregate 'report bug' feature to let us know what issues you faced with the game.
All feedback is welcome, but right now our top prio is to make sure everyone can access the game (load issues) and can save their progress (save issues)
Many many thanks to all of you captains for trying our little game :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hello all captains !
We've published a new version, hoping to solve load/save issues!
"1%" loading progress can last a bit, somewhere between 15 to 30 secs on our test machines. The first game loading can be a bit long, after that the game should be in your browser cache and it should be much faster.
If the game screen remains black or white for more than a couple minute, please refresh the page.
Please use the Kongregate "bug report" feature to let us know if you encounter any unsolved issue, we'll try to fix all issues by priority order.
The game is in 'open beta' stage, we plan to try and improve it. Please feel free to let us know what you think we should add/fix/etc.
Have fun :)

Hey good game, one problem for me: I no longer get the option to participate in the battles in the event war. How can I fix this? Otherwise 5/5.
Hello raptor6978, sorry for the inconvenience, improving the combat system is high on our priority list, right after fixing save/load issues, and next to user interface accessibility for instance... thank you for trying SR:G, and thanks for your feedback!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Almost brilliant. Everything is fantasic, except the combat which is far far too hard as it's just too fast and twitchy.
I haven't won one (apart from the the intro) yet. :(
"Soon" might be slightly optimistic ;) ... we'll do our best to clean SR:Genesis first but it's friday night so I'll confess we'd love to give sequel(s) to the game after that :) like granma said "ok but finish your plate first" :D
Sell "light goods" like 'Philosophical texts' or 'Medicine' to bring light VS sell 'Weapons' or 'Slaves' to bring darkness. When a planet is under siege (red cursor), travel to it and fight for your side.
Well all the 35/40 something guys at FremenCorp all have a lot of respect/nostalgia for Dune 1993 :) ... but the original inspiration is Dune 1965 if you get my drift ;)

I could really use a help menu or replay tutorial option. I finished the tutorial and then didn't play the game again for a week. I now have no idea how leveling up/xp works and only a vague idea how combat works. I'm too far in to restart the game just to view the tutorial again.
Hello tibor89 :)
well that's blunt, but thanks for trying our game, and thanks for your feedback :) granted we need to rework the combat system. We plan to do exactly that after we've fixed all 0-priority issues like load/save problems.

If u guys can update IF then add more classes u know what i am saying right?thanks oh and make the loading faster too and one last thing...ITS A AMAZING GAAAAME!
