Double-posting! woo! If you get frustrated by the slow rate of production, you can exploit the alignment conversion mechanic. Get a planet to the very border of alignment change, then buy the stuff you need, change its alignment, and its inventory will be refreshed and full to buy again. Pick the right planet and it'll have faction-products to sell while neutral as well, meaning you can buy at both phases.

So. Fun facts. Good-aligned pirate dens in an evil-aligned sector still smuggle now-legal weapons and moon powder. If you have a change of heart about an evil aligned sector, be prepared to wait a very, very, veeeeeeeeery long time for any products to be made. By the end game you can skip across the entire sector in 2 jumps, meaning it's very simple indeed to drain the entire sector of every good product in existence. Not surprised that there's no particular "end game" for keeping the cube yourself, though slightly disappointed when it dawned on me that there really weren't many other options (i suppose i could have literally -sold- the plot coupon)

Volcano coloring is pretty clear (red/orange/yellow), and so is bumblebee (yellow/black/orange), but what is princess?... I tried cream/peach/yellow, but it didn't put me in the winners.
I kept my fuel costs low for most of the game, and this gave me some nice tough fights with cruisers where I barely survived. :)
Some parts with large surface area fins should probably have a cooling stat, as radiators.
All in all, a great game. Was fun.

Does anyone know how long the war negotiations last? Playing as Balance, I've been doing nothing for the last hour or so but going back and forth between two planets to fight to keep either side from taking over. When does the war end?

I have purchased all upgrades, got left with 2 quests (War with Darkness and some contract from merchants to fight random pirates), but I cannot fight darkness anymore. Usually when one planet was attacked by darkness I could go in orbit and fight the attackers, now I do not get that option anymore even though the message clearly indicates that the planet has been attacked. Is this a bug or am I suppose to do something else in order to be able to fight darkness?

Really enjoying this game; the only major improvement I can think of would be to add a large image of whichever planet (or a generic asteroid) to the ship's 'windscreen' when you're in orbit.

Cant seem to get all the planets to one side or the other after playing for hours and hours...Love the game however i'll probably walk away before the final task is completed as well as 80% of players

Feels so simple to play, yet it proves to be so much fun and really well thought out. Five out of five, And you have my support if you feel the desire to make any more like this.

This is an awesome game but the War between light and dark takes FOREVER. The time it takes for Thasan to negotiate peace is way too long in my opinion. I was having a ton of fun until it got really redundant fighting those battles to keep them from taking everything over.

Possible bug... Shortly into the story I would say, there is a merchant mission where you must buy artwork to take to another planet and sell it. On Thynesa I bought the artwork for 4500 and then I could sell it for Immediate 1000 profit without needing to leave the planet. It was a free 10,000 coin boost

I wish somebody made browser games like: X-Wing, Dino Wars, Steel Empire or Mega-lo-mania, UFO X-Com or best of all Master of Orion 2, Master of Magic ... :)

Defiantly one of the top 5 games for me on Kongregate. The only issue I've found is that as you progress through the story line sometimes the pieces for older missions disappear or the "asteroids" I need to find never show up so I cannot complete the mission.

I cannot seem to get the game started, it stays at 98% even after cache clear and refreshed page. Any suggestions are welcome (I use FF)
Hello KardainiaGames, we modified the loading to fix that kind of trouble. Hope it will ok now. If you still have the problem, please press F12 and check the logs: copy paste the content in a mail to find a way to solve it. Thank you for your feedback.

Later on in Treasure Hunt mission, the contract says to go to asteroid TH-3 to find Cpt. Morgan's rival, but his rival is actually located on asteroid TH-2.

Nice little game. Trade is sort of unbalanced, either the bonus is more important than the goods (always at the beginning) or the bonus is pointless compared to the trade value. Flight is extremely tedious. The combat is system is sort of interesting but needs more balance.

I reported this but showing it here so Dev can see it: I can no longer attack contested planes for the sake of my faction.

With respect to the game itself, I really liked it. It was a good twist on the classic trader game (like Caravaneer) and I enjoyed the novelty of the combat. If there were any flaws, it would be the difficulty curve - the difficulty really depends on how good your ship's fittings are. Once you have good fittings you will never lose. Overall, I'd say 4.5/5 (which I will round up). Tres bien!

Tips and tricks: the "Evil" (Bogodarth/Shroud/Heyenikon) ship equipment is slightly faster and has more armor, which gives it better performance. Also, the last question in the pirate's quiz is a trick and there is no way to find out the actual age.

And perhaps give the players ways to use money in the late-game: investments in the market or even planets, building stations or supporting groups?

This game has a really huge potential!
Though it's not exactly finished yet =p (I don't know about Light or Dark, but the Balance "negotiations" quest after giving or selling the cube seems to never end)
So! aside from combat being too simple. (perhaps add a speed factor to weapons and make enemy ships strength randomized/scaling with level)
I think it could use a bigger map, more encounter types (like merchant ships, or explorers who want to trade info or whatever) and a few additional functions like, fill fuel automatically.
In any case, I'll continue cheering you guys up =)

I really enjoyed the game, but there are still several weakpoints, basically what Badok already said. Combat is overall way too easy and also a bit monotone, storyline is not very compelling and quests could be more varied.

the fighting sucks!!!! heating system takes way to freaking long to cool down ffs. seems like they never over heat and the are firing none stop

Maybe I missed this in the tutorial, but what exactly is the difference between a classic landing and a quick landing?

It would be nice if, arriving to a planet in dispute, you could choose which part of the enemy fleet you want to engage, so for example you could fight level 3 cruisers for a bigger alignment deviation (and more fun). The final enemy could be more powerful than a level 3 ship
Hello Chaflan, thanks for playing the game and for your suggestion, we're thinking of something along these lines yes... working on fixing save/load issues for everyone first, tho.

Shrewd enemies should be able to surprise you and attack from random directions. Not all enemies should have an attack pattern of 120º clockwise every single time lol
