I think the llama is slightly strange. I mean, if there's random blocks of ground and loads of hole, along with random snow you can't jump on, a strange shop yet no other living creatures to be seen, and when you die someone (who doesn't exist) revives you the least of your worries would be you can't see any colour.

If you start off without colour, then no matter how good you are, you cannot see it 'till you're moving too fast to appreciate it.
However if you start off with colour, it becomes obvious that it isn't as beautiful as life without colour, but is rather garish and ugly.
As such, the game is most beautiful when taken at a slow pace, with no colour at all. Oddly, this means the game is more fun when you don't try to win.
Me thinks there are metaphors for money in here somewhere.
Or possibly thermo-nuclear war.
But mostly, money.

amazing how games can make you notice little things are special. For example: when i had colored mode i was like:
OH YEAAAAH, COLOOOOURS!!

The wall climb upgrade doesn't seem to do anything for my llama. Also, would be nice if you had more control over the height of your jump--longer you hold, higher you go. Would make it a little easier to deal with the maximum jump height upgrade.

Fun game. I was initially content with upgrading fully before trying to go far, but once the faint hints of colour started appearing, I felt the urge to see more. Excellent mechanic!

Someone tell me that the speed is in miles per hour, because the idea that the llama is running at 50 mph makes this game distinctly more awesome.
