KotR5191, how isn't this how gravity works? Small masses are pulled closer to larger masses and are pulled more strongly together the closer they are. With multiple high-mass objects right next to each other, of course the ball is going to take a few S-bends as it flies around and of course it's going to put itself as close to the center of total gravity as it can when it lands on a planet, even if it means it may have to roll a little funky sometimes.

For the longest putt, I think it only counts the distance before it bounces once, so the best way to get the achievement (I don't quite have the highest one myself) is to go to a level with a lot of total mass and fire it off into space right PAST a planet and hope it swings around and around the large map screen. Don't cut it off too quickly, either - it may come back at around 750 or something.

suns and planets each have their own masses, and, yes, most times the sun's mass is greater then the largest planets mass so it likes the sun more.

@skankingfool: You also have to consider the momentum of the ball as well as the gravitational pull of the other planets and/or suns.

When an object is equidistant between 2 objects with different mass, physics tell us that the former object will be pulled towards the larger object. This however shows the complete opposite.
