I pretty much like everything in this game except one thing. This game need easier way to abort round... I was kinda sick and tired of clicking abort shot then quit hole then yes button to quit hole then quit round then yes button to quit round... gees five clicks to quit? maybe this is maybe ok when you are actually playing for fun, but if you trying for gold/platinum... then this become a major hassle.

Actually CodeGuy, the visited planets overlay is received after the visited planets list. Number eleven and ten, respectively.

I had played this before and complained about the physics, things have really gotten a lot better now, and I'm glad you tweaked things a bit.

Also looking at the background info it readjusts the gravity every 1/20th of a second which can throw things off on faster shots.

Have a question that might explain some of the goofy bounces and possible sun issues. Where does the gravity attract to? Sometimes it looks like there is spin on the ball.

"Is one of the unlockables letting you know where you missed some planets to visit? That is a really irritating acheivement."
One of the earliest achievements lets you see which planets you have and haven't visited while you play. That's extremely useful.
One of the last achievements lets you view which tournaments still have missed planets, and that one is almost useless. It is unlocked so late in the game that most people will probably have visited every planet already just to do enough achievements to get that unlockable.

You need a hotkey to abort hole and round for those chasing gold or platinum. You can end up clicking 'quit hole' 'quit round' a lot of times...

Very good game, physics work very well, despite what everyone says. 4/5
Just a little Bug report regarding the hole in one guide. On the following holes, the marker is misplaced:
Round one: Hole 8
Round three: Hole 9
Round six: Hole 9
Round ten: Hole 7
All the others work well though, but fix those four, please. May the wind be at your back as you sail onto further programming achievements, and may you continue to entertain us all for a long time.

i was planning to use this game as a guide for when i rocket into space later this week, now i should be able to get my handicap down.if my ball doesnt do the same as in this game im SUEING

If anyone still doubts the physics, they should check out my video at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Sw4cP1tb1SI before declaring them rubbish.

Great job with latest changes to the game. The Quit Hole and Quit Round links were really needed and make trying for the platinum medals much more bearable. I also like the shot indicator that shows you were your ball will go because it helps people learn the game faster. Even though these changes make the game better, I'm keeping my rating the same. 4/5

Severeflame, your putt distance is BEFORE the ball goes through the hoop, not after. If it was after, then it would be so easy to get the achievements!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Long putt - the ball actually needs to go through the hoop! So for the 3000km+ achievement, just hit the ball so that it goes 3000km+ then goes through the gate (yes, in one shot!)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
tybur - on your 'putt' shot, the boundaries no longer cause your ball to go off play. However, if on any shot your ball goes more than 1000km away from the corner (it goes up to about 1.3k in some places as it's a circle) your shot cannot cound for 'long putt' awards...
Hope that helped

"codeguy physics has nothing to do with where the planets would be in real life"
In real life if two planetary bodies are 300km apart, they crash into each other. There aren't any solar systems where the planets are as close together as they are in this game. Planetary position within solar systems has a *lot* to do with physics.

I feel like the developer deserves major kudos for this game. It makes certain that your gold game isn't one dimensional in the sense that you are only considering holes in one. The achievements are great. 5/5 for innovation, polished gfx, and for putting up with so much crap over the physics (I saw nothing wrong.)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't believe that anyone is expecting realistic physics. If the physics were real, all the planets would not only be moving, they'd be too far away from each other to be even see them.
It's a game. Just learn the rules of it. If you think the rules could be adjusted to be more fun, sure, that's fine. But “fixing” the physics would result in a game where the ball easily orbits around a planet because there are *no* other planets within a million kms.

Great game! After many tries, i now have all the achievements except the 3000km. I don't think that is anything but luck. But, I'll keep trying awhile.

If I say this one more time I think I may actually go insane. Planets and suns are handled exactly the same. A sun is exactly the same as a planet, just with a different graphic inside. Have a look at this image unproductive knocked together: http://kundor.org/pub/gravitee.png
The was done in the level editor and shows how suns attract the ball exactly the same way planets do. All planets (and suns) attract the ball at all times. The suns and planets even have the masses on them. The "suns have more gravity" theory is partially down to placement of the suns and partially down to your brain making a big deal of it when you hit a sun. Please, give it up everyone, I am the developer, I know the code!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Suns are DEFINITELY attracting the ball more than planets, there's no doubt about that. They even attract balls already having stopped on the surface of a different planet whith much more mass than the sun. it destroys the whole game, since you cannot really estimate the way of the ball in the last rounds. 2 Points

I find the last two levels a lot less fun. The game really isn't playable (to me) without the guidance line. It's so short by the last couple of levels that I can't get any closer to a gold medal on my tenth try than I did on my first try. I'd really appreciate it if the lines didn't shorten so much at the end.

you should be a physics teacher, i love how you simplified physical concepts into a fun game and u explained it all,,,,5 stars!

Arrgh!!! 6000km shot and missed the hoop by about 1/8".
Having an option to pick a hole would be nice for getting the long putt achievement.

i like this game....EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT THE STUPID PHYSICS ARE WRONG! these last 2 gold medals are going to be impossible to get, thanks a lot.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Chalky could be right about the density thing, but it's a game about playing golf in space, how big will the ball be?
great game 5/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Zubon - Suns are treated no differently from planets except upon collision with the ball. They do not have extra gravity!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game is so amazingly fucked up and illogical that you wannabe physics boffins are clearly full of shit. THE CALCULATIONS ARE OUT THEY ARE NOT REALISTIC, the density is important, not the mass, and in this game density is not considered and mass barely appears to have an impact as suns with less mass (and density) then a planet manage to pull the ball back past the planets gravitonal field, out of the planets field and into its own. Leading to the charming BURNING UP! graphic on he screen. Ridiculously fucked up game to finish all achievements. I cannot get the last 2 gold medals thanks to this bullshit and the 3000km putt is pure chance and luck which is soooo stupid.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Love this game, very different and loads of fun. My only complaint is that the "hole in one guide" isn't accurate for all levels, which is just a tad silly :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
And by the way, he didnt make the gravity of big stuff less, he made their mass less. ie, a planet that has twice the radius SHOULD be 4 times as massive, it's really like 1.5 or whatever.
