Description
Clockwords is a hectic word game set in Victorian London. You are a genius inventor who discovers plans for a mysterious machine that runs on the power of language. Then your lab is infiltrated by mechanical bugs that have come to steal your secrets! You must think and type quickly to fend off the invaders.
How to Play
Type any words you want to kill invading bugs. There's an in-game tutorial.
Developer Updates
TIPS: The letters in the boiler are the letters that are going to show up to use during the game. Find letters by killing bugs. To make stronger letters, put two of the same damage in the green area and hit โTransmuteโ.
You can mute the sound/music but clicking on the gear button in the upper right corner (both in the menu and in the game).
NOTE ON WORDS: The game doesnโt accept proper nouns โ Names, Planets. Similar to Scrabble words. Tell us about missing words. Contact us if your code doesnโt work, be sure to include your email address so we can get back to you.
NOTE ON CENSORSHIP: We removed โdirtyโ words because of the ticker along the bottom of the game. Itโs an otherwise family friendly game, and we donโt want โmotherf***erโ and company floating along the bottom of the screen. =)
UPDATE 10/19/2009: Fixed the transmute bug. Thanks for pointing that out! Also added some missing words: mook, mooks, morphing, morphed.

My own panic tactics were to send messages to the bugs. Most commonly: 'Death', 'from', 'above', 'you', 'relentless', 'bastards'.
