rolling dice is random unless you know the exact physics you need to get what you want every time and since you not actualy rolling them here its not rigged its luck so stop whinning
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i dunno about the whole completely random thing...... i got 5 unavoidable zilches in a row meanwhile the comp was getting 1000+ combos on the first roll....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
whats up with the moaning about it being hard? it's purely random, the computer doesnt cheat... I consistently win, perhaps bank your points when you have only one dice left to role...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Kactus04, I've been using that very strategy myself. I'm just explaining that the all-time high scores don't match anything within the game mechanics. It says the maximum Zilch-Free wins is 3 in a row, but that would prevent you from attaining a few awards, thereby making it impossible to have 120 awards, which the high-scores say people have. One of those high scores tables is wrong.
That's also neglecting the other high score tables that are obviously wrong. If someone wants to prove they've gotten over 50k points, let alone 1,000,000, then they can feel free to do it.

DarkBaron, all you do is if you get a zilch, quit the game before finishing it. Then it won't break your streak.
Most of the other commenters are too stupid to understand what random means!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game is rigged. i roll a one, keep it, then get a zilch? the computer continues to roll and manages to get a one or five every time. that's BS. this game was fun the first time, because it didn't do that. i got 5000 in one turn! but then it got lame.

A curious thing occurred. I viewed the high scores for things in this game, and many look false. Ironically, the all-time best record for Zilch-Free wins in a row reads 3 (many times), yet to earn a few rewards, I am sure you need many more than 3 zilch-free wins in a row. So, how could people attain 120 awards? Furthermore, the highest win margin reads over a million. Now that's just utter garbage.
Really, who hacks a game like this?

Finally got the hard badge. Now I never have to play this boring game ever again. By the way, after playing so much I can tell you the computer does not cheat. It is random, so stop crying. If you want to get the hard badge, get used to refreshing or quiting to maintain your streaks. If you don't like go play something else. That's what I'm gonna do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hmm actually I meant when they get 3 Zilches in a row and get -500 points, but what I ended up having said is funnier.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Haha, more suckers that don't understand the meaning of the words "completely random". Check the code, you'll find it's completely fair and you just have really bad luck. I saw a Cautious computer player get a Zilch. OMG I MUST BE HACKING
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes it seems to me that no matter which cpu player you are up aginst they 80% of the time get more free rolls and 1,000+ rolls then we do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Raavi: You have to be f***ing kidding. I can consistently win 60% of the time with a little basic strategy. The variance is high by necessity, considering all the high-score free-roll combinations, but if you know anything about basic statistics, you'll understand that the random game will have some outlier situations.
I've scored 8000 in one turn and overtaken a lead for the win before, too. Small probability <> not possible.

I was wondering, if I roll two ones, why can't i choose to just choose one one. Why does it automatic assume that i want to hold the two ones?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Blaahblaah, like you, I think the game cheats sometimes. The difference between his roll and mine are a little too blatant. Impossible to believe that the program can do so many "Free Roll" with his first 6 dices!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The computer has too much luck... he scored 6k points in a single game.... while i get zilchs without even being able to bank...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have to throw my two cents in. I am pretty sure this is not a copy of Farkle. I played this game on a card table 30 years ago while in high school. Yes, I really am that old. As to the comments about the computer cheating, I don't know. You'd have to ask somebody with more knowledge of computer code than I.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yeah, it's statistically possible. it probably doesn't cheat but the scoring system is set up to be maximally frustrating
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
OK... game itself is great (I don't care if it's a copy of a RL game or not), nicely made graphics, a bit of laugh here and there.
But I'm ranking it at 1/5.
Why? Because the computer cheats. Period. It is statistically NOT possible to get 3 free rolls on first roll in a row and negate a 4 thousand point difference. And I saw the computer get such "insanely lucky shots" twice so far. Sorry, I don't buy the blog post about random stuff. Author may show the code but noone can verify if what is inside this compiled game is actually that code... or something else.
