last ditch should kill the attacker so it really is the last ditch and not just a superattack and then the healer fixes everything back to normal

To get the badge:
Put one mage upgraded to maximum except on movement on the platform, and one healer in a corner upgraded to maximum.

One guy is screwing around. I can't get anyone but him, and he quits as soon as the match starts. So I've started and gotten him but not played 5 times in a row.
I understand why you can quit at first without a penalty, but if you do it several times in a row, then the penalty should kick in.

Well, I found a bug. I was playing multiplayer, and was running out of time so I tried to quickly put my healer back on the high ground. Unfortunately the time ran out just as I had clicked the ground, so she froze in mid-air. Then a soldier in front of her hit her and killed her. But then the soldier to the left of her hit her as well, even though she had disappeared at that point. That's when the game froze, time, army and everything.

Recovery works sometimes and doesn't work others. If it's not a bug, then something needs to be more clear about when it is supposed to work.

I think 25% might be better for Last Ditch. As it is, the attacker is kinda getting punished for trying to finish a guy off.

Last ditch is a cool idea, but might need some more balancing.
But, this game is good as hell. Amazing technical accomplishment and very fun to play. It seems to be more of a sketch for a more complete game though (or I hope it is). Like with more maps, styles or characters.
Awesome.

I really like the game, but there's one tweak that I'd like. The time for your move is too short when you only have a few guys. I may only have 3 men, but I still need time to look over all 8 of the opponents men and plan strategy.
Instead of 10 seconds per guy, how about 30 seconds plus 5 per guy?

The last ditch attack is completely and utterly unnecessary and should not have been incorporated. Original concept, good potential, needs some refinement.

I really hate this game. I'm quite upset that this was given a card challenge, however this is only the first time I've disagreed with any Kongregate stuff. This got a fantastic 1/5 from me.

This game sucks,
Only really interesting thing is "investigating" how units works but after 10/15 matches youll notice 2 things:
1st: almost everybody uses same kind of army or small changes of the same one
2nd: when you raise in score people leave battle when they see they cannot win you.

Finally got the badge with only one reset, it kind of sucks how one lucky last ditch attack can just almost 1 shot one of your units. It was actually kind of hard/fun finding a group that could beat each of the 10 waves consistently.

Can you put in some more arenas with more elevation levels? It would be awesome! And it could help balance out the game! I was thinking maybe a checkerboard style map where it switches from high to low elevation, and maybe a pyramid-shaped map! The damage could depend on how many elevation levels above or below the opponent you are.

MrM1ster, saying that this is a ripoff of TAO is like saying that Medal of Honor is a ripoff of Call of Duty. They're in the same genre, but they're different in some aspects. For instance, here you can alter the stats of your characters.

I don't like the ability to reset your rankings. It makes the rankings less meaningful. I'd rather it did something like only count the last 20 matches.

@harmless: two reasons why it would run a bit slower on Kong, 1) the screen is slightly scaled down 2) there is a chat room running at the same time.

ok wtf I played like freaking 7 levels, and decided to quit to menu thinking i should go and upgrade my guys and nothing saved, i had no points, and there's no option anywhere to submit score other than quitting, which I found out AFTER i quit to menu to go upgrade and lost all my time. WTF people, make this shit more intuitive as to how to SAVE your progress and upgrade your stuff, thanks for wasting my time.

This game will be way more better if extra attribute points are awarded after each victory to level the army up, and allow the veteran bonus to be accumulated instead of being reset after each encounter. A good play otherwise. 3/5.

I was running this game off kongregate and it worked perfectly. Here it runs in slow motion even on low quality and no sound/music.

Plain beating the CPU is very boring. Winning and doing so flawlessly for 10 rounds vs. the CPU is actually good (if rather repetitive) challenge. The learning curve is still extremely dull at times.

Wow, I just had a legendary match and rocked some dude with 2 kills with 30 damage each hit from one attack!
This game is how most games on this site should be designed. Play against others, customizable, alot of strategy.
Good stuff.

What I would like to know is how you get more than 1,000 points (IE the player in first place) when 1,000 point is a perfect game?

@underway: You can choose which side of the board you want to be on, look in setup choose N or S.
@PyreDomintor: Archers have to shoot straight is just a rule, like why in chess the horse has to move in an L shape?
@Malachi: Thanks for review!

Interesting... Some players just leave if they don't like your army, some others call you noob when you are winning 91-62 and you still have a turn to play.
They are just gilipos :P

Cool. But in single player could we watch it from the players side of the board, rather than the CPU's side?
Nice chess battle chess game.
