so you can't do endurance mode without kreds. really? maybe its a level thing but if that is behind a paywall I would be really disappointed as I have enjoyed the previous installments of this game

Has anyone actually defeated any field on the "Haunting" difficulty? As soon as I unlocked it, I went and tried F1. This is the easiest field with 3 waves, starting with a 4hp wave. LULZ, right? Well even with wizard level 170, the first wave just marched right on by and smashed my orb. O_O

What exactly does "Damage taken limited to 199" mean? Is that to say that no matter how hard you hit it, you're only going to hurt it 199 per shot?

This is a good example of how micro transactions are done well and how to create an annoying paywall that you avoid out of principle. micro transactions allow you to DONATE to the developers while enriching the game, most do this with novelty skins and textures. A paywall is when 1/3 or more of the game is inaccessible without PAYING real money, it may as well not be part of the game. Take this to hart when you make the next one please not all of you players have credit cards.

Perfectly right loki, such people dont have appetite in their bellies for others concern, the more rich they get the more lazy and corrupt. And if that weren't good enuf, they resort to cheap ad tricks to charge more money, no wonder all that money goes into their bellies. 1 suggestion : If you want to see some improvement, die now and be reborn after 100 years or so..

Allow me to revise my previous comment: There are far too many levels. Each level takes a very long time to beat, as the game gets going. The game can seem daunting to get started on, but you end out using the same tactics over and over. It feels unfair when you lose a level after a half hour because the guy who shows up on L50 is significantly stronger than the prior baddies. 418 achievements is too many, the game is too long, and fans of prior Gemcraft games will find that this one has very little changed as far as gameplay goes.

Nakka, there are 162 fields (counting the vision fields). The other 143 fields have 3 difficulty settings, diverse trait settings plus endurance runs. There are also 418 achievements to earn. I have played all the previous GemCraft games and find this one the most challenging.

There aren't enough levels. Also, the levels play too quickly (although the intra-level challenges feel dramatically different). The game is too easy to get started on, but you never get to use the same tactic twice after you get going. It feels fair to have a big boss come at the end of 50 waves that is significantly stronger than prior baddies. It would be nice if there were more achievements, the game is too short, and fans of the prior gemcraft games may be disappointed by how different this one plays.

Save is working in Chrome for me (I'm on a macbook) so I pasted my save file ito the Chrome folder in macromedia shared objects and got my game back.
Not sure if this will work for anyone else though x

Thanks a lot Aonar, alboy, its just as I thought, at level 114 wizard with 2261 shadow cores, right now all talisman slots have "+x initial mana", total 893, and also been collecting fragments (rarity 6 to 24) of "+ x% of wizard level to starting mana/xp", full upgrades to them totals to "191% to starting mana/xp", calculations say the breakeven is at level 456, so have to wait for a while, have all the skill points(1268) invested in skills (also did the reset), nice to remind me of having some unspent points, thanks again, and yea what calin said is irrelevant to me also, probably answered on his own without understanding the question properly

The important thing is that the fragment is as high as possible because the value of its bonuses is proportional to the level.----

-The “+% of wizard level to starting mana/xp” bonus is only good if your wizard level is high (500-1000+). Otherwise, the “+starting mana” and “+xp gained” are better alternatives.

Ben: Unless you're playing with the pouch you're better off with straight +xp or +mana fragments. You're unlikely to get over level 650 or so without the pouch, (So at most maybe + 1000ish mana if you're lucky with your fragments, and that's at the very end of the game, where you could have +1200 mana in the midgame with a focus on +mana fragments.) assuming you're a completionist, or even over 300 if you just want the badges. And regardless of how much mana you manage to get with your talisman, you'll want a healthy buffer of unspent skill points. They help. A lot. (And I have no idea what Calin is trying to say, but it appears irrelevant. By the mid-late game you'll be getting enough cores to keep your talisman completely upgraded even without the pouch.)

The problem is the "shadows core", if you have many you can mount all the new fragments acquired.
Otherwise you will have to have a good progress of the level (minimum 10 to 15) before using it to replace.
Example, you have a level 32 chip you're expecting a level 44 chip to replace.

hi, i wanted to know if I fill all my talisman slots with fragments of "x% of wizard level goes to initial xp and mana" , is that a good idea ? Seems like at higher wizard levels it helps accumulate a lot of mana. Or should I depend on unspent skill points ?
