@tkhula: You'll get higher difficulties the same way you get battle traits, by completing Wizard Tower fields (the square-shaped ones).

should just call it GemCrack because we're all hooked. Got an ex GF started on the addiction to tower defense games with Gemcraft 1

Honestly, this is almost unplayable. 90% of the content is locked behind a paywall. This could be such a good game, I understand the developer wants to make money, but this series has become a shadow of what it once was. Severely disappointed.

Woohooo! It's about damn time! Excitement tempered by chin-scratching comments. I guess I'll see for myself... still kinda pissed about having to wait over a year after release to play here. Oh well, I'll let the game do the talking I guess. Better be pretty incredible to overcome the angst.

Started playing: This skill is only available if you have the magician's pouch.... Oh comon!!! A hole skill? That's purely pay to win! You could put paid new levels or other play modes I'd be fine with that... But a skill? Comon!

now I remember why I stopped playing labyrinth. This game requires that you play every level multiple times just to get enough xp to take on the difficulty curve, and constantly reminds you that endless mode is for premium players only.

i agree with game being more pay to win than old classic to have fun, Kongregate was at the begining the collection of free games, now it is more collection of pay to win games :/ pity 2/5.

It seems, every new version is less interesting and more payment-inclined. I have bought the full access to labirinth only to find that the game becomes endless gold digging without real fantasy and strategy. No, thank you, look for other fools.

When I saw it in the "new games" section I was like "Cool! I didn't even know they had a new one coming!" Then I realized it's the 14 month old one from Armor Games...

This seems a lot more pushy with the microtransactions than past iterations. That having been said, fantastic game as always.
