It's entertaining and gradually challenging. As most games do, it will allow you to figure out what you want to do and even allow you to explore quite a bit, the relief of not losing instantly when a creep gets to the core is reassuring, allowing you to explore even more and think "hm, this doesn't work".
You can have a great time playing this game if you're in to tower defence!

Could someone enlighten me on what the code on map E3 is used for. I think I know what the code is, but I do not know what to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a great game! Only complaint is that the difficulty level increases way too quickly after achieving the Glaring option.

I have not yet bought the Magician's Pouch, but I consider it a good way for this company to make money on a fantastic game that they are letting you sample in a BIG way for free. We can't expect people to make entertainment without getting paid, and this is worth paying for!

deK64, shadow cores used as +10 drop rarity is for next drop, so if it didn't drop in a map, it still is active in next! And in case you can't use 200 cores again for traits, you can cancel the drop rarity right clicking on the +. It will give back the 200 cores.

That moment when you spend 400 shadow cores, 200 alone on +10 drop rarity, and get no talismans :/ I can't imagine how stupidly easy this game would be with the pouch lol

i luv trolls: try unequiping ALL your skills for starting mana, make a really good starting gem, and see if it can get you further. early on at low levels, most skills just aren't much better than starting mana.

I am hitting a wall here where I can't get another level completed. Not sure what skills to upgrade or what talismans to use and which ones to recycle for upgrades. I am not able to afford the magicians pouch and that seems to be needed for several things here. Getting frustrated.

I tried playing this game last year and stopped because it seemed like too much of a hassle. Now I went back to get the badges and boy, am I glad I did so! The game is a masterpiece. Easy to get into, complex to master. Great atmosphere, good variety of challenges, clean graphics, interesting story, etc. It's been a good while since I last stuck with one game for more than a week and this one was certainly worth it. 5/5 from me.

bug: every so often, when my tower killgem gets to about L33, it starts shooting at ITSELF. no monsters get hurt, and the graphic shows bullets in the tower square but going nowhere. I need to re-socket it to fix.

Counterpoint: I just hit level 700, never paid for anything. There are still a few things I want to tackle. This game is great, especially if you've played Gemcrafts before. Lots to do.

Quick Tips:
Starting mana may be far more useful to you than skills.
Poison and slow gems combined is great for early waves.

Hoof ! tu te trompe, le 1er est basic mais dés le 2eme on note un réel travail.
Avec les étage a grimper, les styles pour chaque champ, les boss fantome.
Le 3eme (labyrinthe) est aussi payant car là très pousser, l'évolution est vraiment au rendez vous, plus les amplificateur et mur (conception qui permet de dirger les monstre)
Le dernier est encore plus travailler ! je suis désolé tu ne peut demander qu'ils soient gratuit (sans prendre en compte qu'il est le meilleur TD au monde) _____________________________

The 3rd (labyrinth) is also paying because there very push, evolution is really the appointment, plus the amplifier and wall (design that allows to dirger the monster)
The latter is even more work! I'm sorry you can not ask that they be free (without taking into account that it is the best TD in the world)

... what started out as a wicked free game to play has unfortunately devolved into another "PAY MONEY TO GET EVERYTHING OR SUFFER LIKE A PEASANT AND HAVE FUuCK ALL OR NOTHING - BUY OUR MAGICIANS POUCH!" ..Ill straight up say I played every gemcraft game until this shyte was spewed forth asking for money so we can play it properly ... 10 mins in realising that itd take cold hard cash to have a "full experience" I quit this shity copy of other modern games which need you to buy its DLC or end up being left behind ...
