the other tactic is to snipe and dodge. u need alot of cannons and fast reload. with this tactic stay away from hand 2 hand combat

Easiest way to beat game:
(1) Don't fire a shot on 1st level -- ONLY enter each boats (You have plenty of pirates)
(2) Fully upgrade # of pirates b/n each level until it is maxed -- Do NOT upgrade anything else until pirates is maxed.
(3) Throughout game only shoot down the boats that have little $ but lots of pirates -- enter all other boats without shooting at all.
(4) On final level save all the pirates you can. If you have over 150 when boss comes you can enter his boat and win. Otherwise you just have to be real quick.

the best thing to do is figure out the crew : gold ratio and if it's low, just attack melee. That gives a lot of gold...

Arrghhhhh, i always wanted to be a pirate. The only other good pirate game is Black Sails, and i dont even know if that is on Kongregate. 5/5, matey!

Dont know how you ppl hafe som much trouble with the game did it in one try maybe little luck i always take dont the boat and i enter the flagship it has the most gold further
when there a lage fleet in the screen use the upper one ships to hit also the lower they hit eachother then handy last this dont go just left right left steer little up and when they turn best time to hit luck with it sure you ppl can do it

get your speed and turn full, kill them with ur insane speed and skill haha. watch out though, fallen angel will pwn you in one series of cannon if you don't watch out, always go the opposite direction of him to avoid full damage (or any damage at all). efficiency and speed is important, try killing the ships right after they come out, then chase and chase, then the last level shudn't be a big problem on admiral, although its still hard

Jeez how do you beat the last level? I took out the first 8 ships with only losing about 200 health off my ship. But when the boss ship comes out, then 2 more ships come out practically right next to you!! I don't know how you're supposed to deal with that even from the beginning, much less after having dealt with 8 other ships. How do people beat that without cheating?

The Game is neat and really good, and would really get 5/5 ... BUT ...
The Final Level is somewhat unfair, because of ... what is wrong with the Melee-Battle?
When coming near an enemy, there seems to be a black hole on my ship ... gravity and stuff seems to get out of order, i can pull them randomly around to every point on the map, it's simply not possible to get away from Melee .. would not be SO bad, but the less people you have aboard, the longer it takes to reload, so after the like second wave of "assisting" ships on final level, you take 10 seconds to fire 2-3 balls, making it nearly impossible ...

level 12 can be beaten.. you just have to be perfect.. i had the end ship down to 1100 hps and i made a bad move and he smoked me in one volley.

a very good game but frustratingly difficult especially when you're trying to take out 3 ships when another 3 join the fray. 4/5.

wow. with my current upgrades, lvl 12 cannot be beaten. This is a good game gone bad because of those very often mentioned "ships moving backwards AND STAYING IN MELEE" and that the speed and turn upgrade barely have any effects, that you always get hit by about 4 cannon balls even if you try to dodge it. 3/5. when things are fixed, 4/5

lol uber-pirates! 15 pirates can take on like 70 of the navy and win easily. It's a little one-sided, dont you think?
