With a few different graphics, this game could be called Obesity Wars with two fat guys chasing each other around a McDonalds.

Umm....I got cannonballs hit/shot: 321/322, and it says 100 %. That didn´t feel right..... Anyway, shoot!
If you shoot much, and the shots hits your opponents ship (around 89%), you will get an accuracy bonus way higher than 2500, which you get if you dont shoot at all. I got 8950 accuracy bonus...

i love this game, it reminds me of sid mier's pirates!!!
i would love more levels, and maybe different kinds of shot (chain to slow enemy down, grape to kill off crew with minimal damage to ship, etc...
5/5

In short: Just board- don't shoot at level 1 & 2, after those, till level 9 / 10 (where it gets harder) shoot a few cannonballs to get maximum bonus (100% accuracy!) Max out your crew first, then go for speed. Damage & Reload & Cannons and lastly Turn speed. Do not upgrade your hull, as your ship gets bigger and your cannons spread out more. You'll be tiny fast ship with a goddamn accuracy! And on hard levels, never board. Run away from their cannonballs, try to get them hitting their allies, and if you're desperate, then go for boarding but run away quickly. Hope this helps!

It's a hard one.. But in the end, if you have about 150 folks left, just kill the mothership in close combat. Shoot all the time, and in the end you win.. Or I did anyway.

On what Goekhan said about the accuracy bonus, it's "(Level number)*(percentage of shots hit)*10. I'm not sure if there's a point at which you don't get a bonus for accuracy, but if you follow Goekhan's guide, you shouldn't go below 80% :)

It would be nice when you can select places you want to travel, trade goods to gain money, or buy cannon balls. Build pirate empire on an island, take over town and cities, having some people repairing the ship hull , fishing and capturing people.

Correction: If you're at level X, you'll get X*1000 bonus for 100% accuracy. So, best is, boarding for first 2 levels, then shooting a few cannonballs for the rest, till it gets hard and where boarding will be a suicide

100% accuracy bonus gives 7000, while saving ammo gives 2500. So there's a 4500 difference, fire once to get more points while you're boarding!

While it's cool that you can blow up enemy ships without mercy, the controls feel very sticky and aren't great. This cripples the game's playability. It also gets very monotonous and difficult. 3/5

Somacula,i somehow see a "Me" in the way you think. There is possibilties here, but its same as watching paint dry, then watch it again tomorrow, but longer... and so on.I mean just shoot 3 ships down,4 more comes. And the mindless sheep called "Players" will keep it up because they cant think anything better to say.

garbage is stealing way too much attention than they deserve has always been a major issue in the Flash gaming community; somehow though, I am afraid this is how things are destined to be, with so many players showing unreservedly how retarded they are as well. The whole impression with "Treasure of Cutlass Reef" - awful levels that keep growing longer and longer with not even the tiniest bit of new stuff and lots of brainwashed players praising it as "the best game I've ever played

The key is, as has been said, to conserve most of your pirates until the last ship. I had like 150, and I boarded and destroyed 4 additional ships while boarding and bombarding the boss ship.

Level 11 and 12 are difficult on admiral. I beat 11 in two tries I think, but 12 has already taken 3-4 without success.

The Scurvy Scallowag badge should be upped to Impossible. I tried to get it. It's not that it's difficult (it isn't) but the game is j-u-s-t s-o v-e-r-y v-e-r-y d-a-r-n s-l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w. Takes forever. I enjoyed the first two levels, but then quickly realized that not only was the entire rest of the game going to be the exact same thing, it was even going to get LONGER!

I actually found this game pretty hard. Board the first 9-10 levels, but on each level after 2 make SURE to fire atleast one cannonball and that all cannonballs hit to give you an accuracy bonus that way outweighs the pacifist bonus. Speed and turning are most impt after crew is maxed, then firepower. armor is not impt at all. using speed over power, i beat all levels without dying once. 3/5

1st badge should be a medium
2nd badge should be impossible

great idea but for me the game is too slow

I think this is a very good game but I agree that the badge should be an impossible badge. In order to get it you have to plan from the beginning. You have to get as much gold as possible early on by killing the enemy ships fast and NOT allowing them to shoot each other as this lowers there money value. Plus when they get close if it is only a couple ships you can just sail around them, get the timing right and you can put them back up to the top without getting touched.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It is not as hard as you make out. Load up with Crew and even on Admiral just get close and let the Crew fight and win. Hit broadsides for high accuracy bonus'. Only from lvl 8 onwards do you need to actually sail around and get them to kill each other. That being said I am now on the last level, this is my third attempt.....

What's with the fives? I'm only on stage three and I'm giving up on this badge. Utterly. Like I'd rather collect Meat Boy Band-Aids utterly. There's no AI to speak of [yet] and my only tactic for trying to level the playing field against the "space invaders" gameplay is attempting to make the scurvy sods shoot each other.
Great concept, I thought I was going to wind up faveing this game, but not even close...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is awful! I give it 2/5 it is repetitive and boring. It's a lot like space invaders once the ships get near the bottom your forced to fight in close quarters. Oh. I could go on and on, but play it for the badge and see...it should be an impossible badge. :(

j2det--yes, ships under wind power can move backwards depending on how they used their sails. It was actually a pretty useful tactic for skilled captains of the time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@grejarra
seriously, do you think ships that relied on wind power were able to move backwards like out of a parking lot? lmao
