please add to scores for winning by opponent's suicide.
sometimes I got "F" even I beat the guy by making him insane and cause a suicide.
They have too much arcane power at end game and using all their damage cards at the start of the game, hitting around 20 damages. I build up dark star and I get the location card to get the half damage and sanity, really fun to beat the guy when I have like 10 hp and he got 70. But it sucks I got F for it. Still great game!

First off, let me just say that this game is simply amazing, an improvement on everything the first game was. However I think it would be nice if there were one or two more Character cards and maybe a new Item, because after about 10 rounds I got kind of tired of seeing Professor Armitage almost every game. Either way, 5/5

Loved the first one and i really like this sequel, graphics improved a lot, the summoning system got more komplex and i think thats an improvement. the cards and overall atmosphere are still fun as hell, 'specially for lovecraft fans.
But the Cons: the insanity feature is basically _gone_, instead sanity has become a tedious ressource management. in the first game i could _choose_ to go all out with my cards and risk insanity, which made the game fast paced and insane fun. Here its a limitation, which is really sad. The Star alignment would be an awesome alternative! but its too rare, you have to focus on black star cards even if its not a smart move. If there is another sequel, put the suicide limitation to ca -30 sanity and let us enjoy our sweet insanity again. Other than that, thanks for a great game!

have 2 summons in attack slots, opponent has no elder defense or defense summon slots filled, yet he's still taking no damage from my attackers

Hi all, I can make a change to show taint never rising if you have misk uni, in play - but note you never take the damage - at the end of your turn the taint resets to zero if you have misk in play.

I was wondering the point of "City of R'yleh" being a location? Apart from it being a location.. ;) No bonuses or minuses associated with it.

Miscatonic University doesn't work. In play but still received taint. Got hit by "Blessing of Hastur" and got tainted. Still 5/5 and will keep testing!

I wanna begin by saying that your previous game got me to start reading the Mythos, so kudos to you for that. I have a few questions that had been puzzling me about this game that I would really like to know:
1) Why is Wilbur Whateley an old man with a beard, isn't he supposed to be in his late teens/early twenties at the time of his death? Also, wasn't he an albino or something?
2) Why did you choose to make it so hard to lower an opponent's "innate" arcane (aka arcane derived from levels or from instant events like Mi-Go brain transfer rather than targetable sources)? The only way to lower the opponent's "innate" arcane value is to wait for them to play Mi-Go surgery or get them to use doppleganger at the right time.
3) Why did you decide not to include customizable decks? On that note, why isn't there a card gallery this time around?
Oh, and loosing your progress after redoing the first level is kinda annoying.

the game has much more confusing interface than previous one:
1. it's not obvious which rank is higher (I guess it's usa school rank which not everyone is familiar with)
2. is not obvious that You can attack with both of your creatures, and to do that you have to highlight both of them
3. insanity works different way than in previous game, no info about that
beside of that seems good one ;)

For the purposes of the holding back achievement, do monsters or things than have to do with taint count as arcane? Or cards that give or remove arcane but don't deal damage? And does discarding count as playing the card? I can't seem to get it to work.

"Just noticed that the Original Game is a lot higher rated than this one..." - aye - a pity I feel as I genuinely think this one is better. ;-/

Just realised the second one was out. I loved the first. This one is different, yes of course it is, but it's still a really enjoyable game. Whomp! x

*Level 30, versus Great Cthulhu*

AARGH! I went to check the achievements and accidentally clicked New Game. I clicked cancel and that I didn't want my stuff erased, but it erased it anyway! I had finished all 30 rounds with 'S' and everything. I really wanted to love this game, but there are too many bugs!!!

Molotov Cocktail doesn't destroy the Arkham Asylum. Is this what's supposed to happen? Neither of the cards states as such.

Hey folks, the scoring issue with the S ranks is a bug, and oddly hard one to replicate here for me and the chap who did the rank screen programming for me. But I've just uploaded a new version with a tweak that we think is the source of the bug. I hope its gone now. You'll have to refresh you're browser window if you've been playing for a while. I don't think you guys get the point of the "s" score. Yes you improve if you completely destroy your enemy, But in Love-craft's stories the 'bad guys' do more damage and gain more power when they lose. Chulthu is lulled back into sleep, everyone dies. He will rise. The scoring system works for the story's sake. But i do agree that on a playbility stance there is much to improve with the scoring system.

Liked the 1st Necronomicon a lot better. This is incredibly buggy and slow loading. Not to mention you can't change the quality áfter the game loads. It's been said before, but I'm going to say it again (because its thát important): cards aren't taking full effect. If you're going to make exception rules, specify them! And, what is up with the -S- ratings being given when I played worse than F. I'm supposed to loose to win?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I absolutely loved the first one and i eagerly waited the second one. The gameplay on itself is quite funny with character, location ecc. but the score is totally and completely off. It ruins the game having to lose wile not using cord to get an S

Why is my gameplays counter on the site stuck at 228 for the entire day. I know there's been a lot of people playing the game at times so its annoying me. Sent a possible bug issue to kongregate.

I woke up Cthulhu, got raped by opponent at the same time and got S? Chief, I think you used non-euclidean Geometry and math.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I agree the ranking system needs some work, it seems like you need to manipulate your score rather than play well. I assume the only way to get an S rank early is to get Arkham Asylum and just keep on pumping your sanity. It'd be better if it was based on winning quickly.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sorry, but it makes no sense that sometimes when you lose, you still get an "S", but even if you WIN you can still get an "F". You need to re-think your scoring model a little bit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ KrunkDaddy333 - I play tested that model for a LONG time, and in the end myself and a ton of others said it was pointless because unless you have balanced card base of a huge selection (at least 150 or more) it would only create an unbalanced game. People would end up choosing the same cards more or less, and it became too messy. There's 48 cards in the game, no need to a have a deck editor. Didn't bother with unlocking cards this time, just let people have them all at the start.
