Challenge 20 is so much more difficult and irritating than 21. 20 took many attempts, while I beat 21 first shot before I even figured out what was strange about it.

The Impossible badge is meant to be extremely hard or very time consuming. In this case it was just time consuming eventually you will get it, just the probability is like 1/300 that is if you know the right card to play in every situation.

Never really enjoyed Lovecrafts work simply because he was way too wordy for me, but this game is fun. Challenge mode is frustrating though.

There is to much luck involved when it comes to the challanges. you can get killed in a couple of attacks the majority of the time and there is nothing u can do to prevent it but other than this it is a good game

My method for wining involves driving the enemy into my madness( much like I do in life) and laughing once they get either schizophrenia or xenophobia which severely cripples the enemy's ability to fight back. so I advise play it cool try to stay sane while at the same time driving your opponent insane ( much like women and politicians do) and then once they can't play cards or stack arcane or elder defense ( depending on what illness they get) you can take your time and destroy them even delve into madness and win if you want the achievement and to still advance to the next level while also getting the planeswalker badge. Hope this helps.

Had to rate this game way low. "Challenge" mode is actually "lucky this time" mode. More infuriating than fun or challenging.

I don't get why people are complaining in the top comments about the challenges being too hard or unfair. It's almost like the badge they're going after is listed as.... impossible.

lol, everytime i use a card, i get sanity instead of loosing it... is it just me, who are stupid, or does it happen to anyone? ps. this kind of comments seems to get rated down for some reason.

As a note to the developer: I agree with what is said about randomness on challenges...if you do a sequel, perhaps you can provide 'puzzle' challenges as well as the various statloss challenges in which you have a set number of cards and they come out in the exact same order each time. There would be only two or three ways to beat your opponent before you ran out of cards/health so the challenge would be figuring out what cards he'll play and then memorizing when to counter or attack. Sorta like a card battle ballet. Another challenge could be the both of you having access to only certain cards, no overlap aside from maybe Yog. The challenge being if you need a card played you don't have like Dawn, you need to taint him enough to force him to play it. I'm sure there's a ton of extra things you could do with this system!

Found it actually harder to do the normal mode in one setting than the challenge mode! Except for those two puzzle challenges and the start-at-5-health challenges, they were pretty simple. LoL beat one of the 'arcane power every turn' ones with sheer chip damage as I wound up with 20-something elder defense and holding all Tindalos cards. Between my guns and shub niggurath he got chumped. So thanks for the (near) free 60 points! I wish they would put more 'impossible' badges on games, especially timesinks like 'collect everything.' But in this case it was easier to do than the hard badge!

It would be awesome if you had a little picture every time you rank up, so you can see what you would look like. Would be badass.

@Sulhiril its an impossible badge for a reason. Just keep trying if you want to get it, and you will get it eventually.
@ajm524 To get the first badge, just go insane. Drop your sanity to 0 or lower to get the first badge. You drop your sanity by the number displayed on the bottom right hand corner of the card you play. Just keep playing cards that have higher costs, and dont discard, or you get sanity back, unless it doesn't cost any sanity at all to play.

It's 4 in the morning and I'm still playing this game. Even with a sequel out. I don't think addiction is an accurate enough term for what I have.

Screw those challenges. Seriously, I've never run into something so infuriating. As other people have pointed out, there are several challenges where you can be 1-shot by many cards -- so you die over and over and over and over again.
