control too crapful

The key problem I find, isn't really a need for upgrades (if its your thing not to have them) is that you have to trade blows with ships to kill them alot of times because of how you aim. If there was a way to fire other than straight, Im pretty sure I could get through the game without a want for upgrades, but as it stands, I really couldn't recommend this game. Pixels and unfair controls might be a staple to retro games, but there is a reason why the industry has evolved past them; its fun for a little bit, until you remember why your NES isn't hooked up anymore.

The problem with games like these WITHOUT upgrades is that unlike way back when- when there weren't THAT many video games to play- the main reason to play a game well was bragging rights- I did well on this game etc. but games are everywhere, and now a player needs an incentive beyond relatively pointless bragging rights to put effort into a game- generally the best way to do so- add upgrades- you play better? good! now you can play better even BETTER. Long story short- add upgrades.

Game freezes after I end the first level. :(

No persistent upgrades?? Anyhow: the graphics is to big, the objects can be much smaller. The tilting thing, which makes you shoot sideways sux! to slow etc etc... I played one level and made this post. Now I'm gonna play something else...
