Excellent game. I hope everyone who actually likes this game will give it a 5/5 to balance the idiot people (who rate it down for not having sound).
You did the game well, you used flash excellently. To expand, add different ships, different views in fighting and flying, and overall more expansion. More than one type of pirate ship, and different attacks and stuff. Also it would be cool if you made new objects and backgrounds during travel. Perhaps instead of shooting asteroids you could dodge them. And maybe make a way for you to move your screen, so you could search for enemy ships. Travel on planets would be cool too. I hope to see more of your games!!

the fight scenes are a bit dificult for me... the asteroids move around, and i can't hit them then they come all at once towards me! same thing happens with the pirate ships..

Your a real n00b you know that? this game is version 0.0.8.1 it going to get better as it good at graphices are 3D that makes them better then 2D game.
How cares if theres no music i don't want to load 3mb of annoying repeating songs. use your own music. I'm sure sound wll come also. [/flame]

i'd like to see maybe an overlay on the travel screen so you kinda get more of a pilots view. And also different coloured lasers when you upgrade. XD other than that i like it

I know lets all make the exact same observations over and over and over because I'm sure that's very helpful and that he's not yet aware that the game doesn't have any sound.
Some days I do a god job of keeping comments like this to myself, but then other days I'm just absolutely astounded.

Ok, whats the "secret technology" that gets tested out on your ship?
Also, how do you get a "high score" in this game? I dont see anywhere that points are mentioned.

How about a speed upgrade to make interplanetary travel faster?
Different pirate factions, with possibilities to gain favour or dislike from each allowing for faster travel/ pirate missions?
Good game though

Overall, I like it
A couple of suggestions:
1 - longer plot line
2 - some way to ffwd through the non-event travel
3 - choice of ships (fighters, freighter, etc.)
4 - sound

pretty nice overall, but the shooting system is loosy in the way that is very strange & difficult to guess distance to the objective

Ive tried to deliver an urgent package (Officer Tama ....) to Froklo and pirates attacked me 3 times in a row about that.
Is that a bug???

I'm bored.
I got level 5, (the highest)
I have yet to find any plotline style quests, since level 3.
I did notice that most quests show up randomly.
Is there any reason to ever go into the level five planets?
Is there anything left in this game, as I still have not been at half the planets yet, but I am bored.

It needs sound effects (not music), and some visual way to know when you are hitting the enemy (sparks, colour change, etc).
Without these 2 things, you never know how far ahead of moving targets to aim as you never learn how fast your bullets are travelling.

Ok. Much improved as of 8.1
I like the lack of bugs ... bodes well for future versions!
In general I would focus next couple of versions on story lines; the game play is what it is!
Some suggestions:
1. Missions such as asteroid busting should "clear" a path allowing faster and asteroid free travel on that route.
2. Missions should be the primary experience mode to make them worth while. Currently experience comes mostly from fighting pirates.
3. Sub-plots: All of those priests and scientists must be up to something other than philanthropy ...
4. More things to spend money on. Easy to end up with a ton of cash with nothing to spend it on ... bribery for mission info for instance.

needs shorter autopilot travel sequences, and better indications of when the targets are being hit during battle (like make them change color briefly or something). Also some incentive to level up, I havent seen any difference so far between experience levels. Good start on this game, keep at it!

Dont waste your time with this game it's a very dull game, your time would be better spent playing caravaneer, which is similar and much better!

I hardly vote, and comment even less. But anyway. Its a good game. The only beef i got with it is with the combat. I like the concept of locking and leading targets, but the time inbetween when targets show themselves can become tedious and drawn out. Is there some way of keeping foes on-screen during the entire battle? Or perhaps timed fights? Anyway. I'd like more tempo. But to conclude. Awesome concept. Keep up the good work! i hope to see some updates in the future as i'll be sure to play it :)

Not too bad, but I wish you could upgrade your ship a little faster. Not being able to do much except play "tennis ball" between Walsh & the 2nd planet until you've got enough money to upgrade gets kind of "old" fast. =J Otherwise, it's a VERY fun game. =)

i just stopped playing this game after ive met pirates twice in the same trip to one planet, the combat is slow, tedious and boring. The game would be much better with faster travel time and a better combat system.

Reminds me of an old Mac game called Escape Velocity - it'll be cool to see as it gets more developed. Combat sequences are currently too difficult/time consuming/random

I love it it reminds me of Privateer.
Such a great old game.
I can see that this will be awesome if you ever get around to getting it fully finished up to production standards.
It would be cool to be able to actually fly the ship and have the guns only shoot forwards so you have to aim the ship at the enemies.

I agree, sound is a waste, play your own songs, I wish there were cross-hairs when you're shooting and saving, otherwise, it's pretty damn good.
