@rockydennis The description said that you would need an ASCENSION all-stats bonus of ee8. Forgive me, oh wise one, for thinking that meant the bonus from ASCENSION. Thanks for the downvote.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@fiori_amanda - no, it's correct. ee8 looks like it's high, but it looks like it includes the stats bonuses you get in the prestige layers as well, so it's not "obviously impossible". You said you put it off, and I'm guessing you did it in AL3, when it could be finished quickly. I think I did it with my 10th or so stats upgrade in AL2 and it took some time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think there's a typo in the description of the stagnation trial. The first level said I needed to get to an ascension all-stats bonus of ee8 - that is, 10^100000000. I didn't even bother queuing that trial, it was so obviously impossible. I finally realized there was probably a typo, queued it up and succeeded almost immediately. I think it was probably supposed to say e8 or 10e8, not ee8. That is, 10^8 rather than 10^100000000.

@Vartiovuori - if you mean the prestige autobuyer, that's a feature, and not a bug. You can turn that off if you really want to (you shouldn't).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
One thing i think the game has a problem with is that if you're using auto prestige on small floor change, most of the armory upgrades are worthless. Only the ones linked to clearing a stage as fast as possible really help move things along
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Seems like the main deal is using roots(2/4/3/3) autobuyers for first 4 AL without Stat Chain and AL default after 100 or so AL7 points, so that AL7+ layers are faster. Makes sence I felt it started to slow down with AL1 Fallback + Stat Chain.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Mrpojsomnoj - I saw a post that said biggest stat gain on "AL autobuyers is awful until AL8". So that might have been holding you back. Also, if I understand what you posted earlier, you were using 1.01x for all layers of ascension autobuyers? I think you're going to want to up that number for the layers above 1. I think those layers are auto-ascending too early.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@rockydennis Thanks for reminding of discord. Have no f clue what they are talking about. Guess time to mess with autobuyers options until I'll get lucky and everything will go faster.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Mrpojsomnoj - the IA Discord has a ton of information for the game, including in depth info on Transcension. I was avoiding it, but finally joined it yesterday and it's a great resource.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I played since Ascention was not a thing and this game had e308 cap on stats, so I'm not complaining, whatever I got...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is there guide on Transcention? I have no doubt that T2 should take hundred days to get upgrades, but maybe, just maybe I doing something wrong. I almost at Tier 3 and have... holy [Total time played: 1971d 9h]

@0BurntRice0 - Everything you need to know is in the guide on Steam.

Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@0BurntRice0 - if you're using a warrior to attack, you need just one, with overkill, with his stats boosted by paladins with morale. Your warrior will strike everybody dead on each floor with one blow. It'll go quicker than all your warriors taking turns to get past a floor. One warrior and the rest paladins is a good strategy early on, but the further you go, you should add rangers and clerics too for the speed benefits. When you get the Heirloom of Legends - where all the enemies on each floor is replaced by a single boss - you could switch to a ranger doing the attacking in the front because of critical damage (though the further you go, critical damage really doesn't matter).

Just getting to first ascension, what is the best hero comp to use? Just been using WWWWWW for overkill. Any other tips would be appreciated.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Mrpojsomnoj - thanks. I'll give yours a try. I have my prestige autobuyers set to 4/3/2 (4 root - 3 root - 2 root) LLP, and I thought a similar strategy could be used for ascension (not those exact numbers, but smaller minimum multipliers on lowest floors), but I know some people do it differently (ie 5/5/5/5 for Biggest Stat Gain which is analogous to how you're doing the ascension autobuyers). Your method certainly works if you're at AL9.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@rockydennis Idk about biggest stats chain, I enabled, but did not checked what it does. The main point with autobuyers is to not have minimum too high or autobuyers may not work properly, and biggest stat gain manage autobuyers mostly without this setting as I see.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Mrpojsomnoj - thanks for your help. If I understand you correctly, are all the ascension layers set to 1.01x, the default minimum? And this is a setting that works well for all situations including trials? And should 'Biggest stats chain' be enabled? Thanks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When you will get to T and can decently fast gain 1 point farm for perks. It's worth it to farm a couple thousand for 8AL Perks when you will go for 9th AL for T points. Will take a day or two...Pain...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ascention autobuyers: Prioritise biggest stat gain, default minimal is at minimum, AL1 fallback/ default seems the same in progression, but default seems a bit slower but with bigger stat gains(overall speed of point gain is the same.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For those who've progressed pretty far in the game, how are you handling the ascension autobuyers, and what are your settings?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@eloyas - If you're talking about AL1, refer to the guide on Steam. But basically for you autobuyers, "allow auto-prestige on default layers" option to disabled, then set your first 3 layers to 3/2/1 (3-root/2-root/1-root) and everything else default with Lowest Layer Priority turned on. You'll need to manually prestige PL4 whenever you get stuck.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Anyone got a tip for the quickfire trial? I've messed with the autobuyers and they're mostly at (sqrt(current) + 1e1000) but, I can't get past layer 11 like that.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Jachan19: The further you get, the more offline time you get. You can see your current MAX under options.
@yuipang9999: If you'd just idly let the game calculate e.g. 48 hours, that'd be a waste of time. You need to to make inputs, as the offline progress passes by a higher speed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The idea of needing the tab on in order to have the offline bonus runs is a 1/10 . This is an idle game, not a tab on game, just give me the calculated result
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I left it offline for like a whole day or bit more (hours) which should be like 24~36 offline hours... and this got me 12 offline hours instead... Does it means if I leave this game offline for a whole year, it will give me 12 offline hours instead? If it does, then this game sucks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Rpilr - it's possible to ascend in a week, so you need to most likely check your autobuyer settings (and maybe the composition of your team). Refer to the basic guide on Steam. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2208459897

@Firien: that's what I meant, the game is balanced in such a way that auto-prestiging after 4 layer is almost never worth it. I am on prestige layer 18 right now and most of my layers go untouched most of the time.
Anyways, can't wait to see what Ascension is like, I suppose it will be like a prestige but even more crazy, like resetting your armory and your heroes. I could search for it online but I rather keep it unspoiled until I reach it, I am at 82% for ascension so I should not be too far.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Rackox: check the prestige settings, see info > dut buyers > gameplay tips. You don't want to prestige high levels often - it slows you down, as it reduces the stats so enormously at the lower prestige levels. The pattern is consistent - multiple prestige-1 before a prestige-2, mutiple times 2 before a single 3, etc - it ends up faster as the higher stats at the P1 level generate so much extra xp at once.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What's the benefit of Prestige Layer 2? The description does a poor job of outlying the benefit of it, and notably seems to include a loss of Prestige on the base level.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
auto-prestige won't prestige past layer 4 for me. I think there's a loop where you can't ever prestige past a certain layer if you use the preset "Biggest stat gain on small floor change". I would gain ee5.64 on layer 5 if I were to prestige but I guess it's not worth it for the biggest stat gain algorithm.
On that note... what is ee5.64 supposed to mean? 10^10^5.64? That's some big heavy number if that's what it really means. I guess I am nearing stupidly big numbers like the Googolplex, which would then be written ee100 or eee2 if this is indeed how the game is compacting these numbers.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So I was finally able to prestige. It seems it didn't cost points. I just read the instructions and it says "After this, your first “big” goal is to get your team to level 100. At this point you’ll unlock the first prestige layer." Then it says you prestige "for" points. Which I thought we were using in a cost sense. Just really bad instructions.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@faylinameir: That would be pretty useless. You are supposed to be able to react during the "catch up" time. If you just idly sit there waiting for it to end, then you are wasting plenty of precious time.
