Description
Hook and Frog in a world conveniently shaped for a frog who happens to Hook quite well. Music by REFLXSN https://soundcloud.com/reflxsn/tracks?fbclid=IwAR1EEkkDnsK4_uy7MSkavNy3kj6_45TLqnkZPaWaA1z04Vp5J_o6UpPCTZQ .
How to Play
A to move left, D to move right. Hold space to hook onto the most convenient point! Release space to release your hook. While hooking, press W to move up your tongue and D to move down it.
Good luck!

Nice idea, but I have one big issue with it. Your momentum doesn't carry over as you swing from one hook to another. If you're moving forward quickly and then grab onto a hook while I'directly underneath it you'll just stop dead in your tracks. It feels extremely awkward.

Two things: First in the cave level you can just walk on the bottom and get to the finish. Second the lasers should reset when you respawn, I had to restart because in the level with two lasers from above I got stuck with the lasers continually killing me whenever I spawned. Other than that fun game! oh yeah and momentum too but it looks like some people have already commented that.

I like the game overall, there are some issues: In the second orange level the laser is firing one after another, makes it REALLY hard. And made me quit. Also I'd like to turn off the music without turning off the sfx, it gets really annoying after some time. Also I'd like some game menu or pause screen. (Maybe there is one? Neither P or Esc worked.)

Controls are super still and the difficulty is near non-existent. I like the premise of a swinger but it needs a hefty dose of polish.

Cute art and I like the music. However, considering that you have different areas that look different, the music should probably reflect that.
Also I'm not sure if this is possible, but maybe having the ability to go back a hook might be cool. It might've just been my game glitching, but I wasn't able to do so on the levels I tried it. And instead of having arrows to point to the active hook, maybe have a glow around it, just like around the checkpoint. As for the checkpoint, something more prominently signifying it activating would be a good addition, just like what you did with the exits at the end of each level.
The score seems almost arbitrary as it's not immediately clear what the purpose of having a score even is or what the score refers to. Maybe have it so that each level has maybe a max of 3-5 flies, with darkened silhouettes of uncaught flies at the top and at the end of each level, you can see how many you've caught.
Good work on this game so far.
