I really don't have that much patience. You should try to be more concise and cut out extra "noise". There's not a good pace to it.

(update spoiler alert) Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback and support! I've quickly lost the ability to respond to everyone's comments while spending time updating the game. So I'll do 10 minutes of comments per night. Also, if you find a typo in a lesson, the best way to tell me where is to post: An error in Part 3/6 Basic Arrays. In line 5 you are missing a closing bracket. Thanks again!

Was I the only one who wanted the missingValue variable in one of the Variable defaults level, to be renamed missingNo? :D

I like it, but it needs to be better. For example, saying characterIntelligence = 1650 + characterIntelligence; didn't count as correct, nor did characterIntelligence += 1650 work. There's a bunch of other problems with this too. Fun though.

You're such a good teacher! I knew absolutely nothing about code, but I finished the whole game and had a lot of fun doing it. I can't wait for the update! You are going to update, right?

I really like this game i have been wanting to learn code and this is a fun way to learn. Would love to see more in the game or differnt games like it.

I have been looking for a program to teach home schoolers to program. I just found it. I will continue to follow the progress of this game or as I finish it, maybe I will build my own for other languages.

I'm a graphics snob, normally. And this game has the worst graphics of any game I've ever played on Kongregate for more than a minute and a half.
And yet I gave it five stars. This is an incredible game.

In part 10/11 Basic Variables you have forgot the ";" by yourself. So the var CharacterIntelligence wouldn't be declared ;) Give it a + so the dev. will read it.

The only thing I found a little weird about this game is on part 2/7 of Variables and Math. In the question, it takes you to take a guess and scroll down. I entered "7", which wasn't the actual answer even though it was correct. So I lost some of my health for that. :P

Great game. Played through it in one sitting (it was a nice general programming refresher, and I learned a little ActionScript syntax). It would be really nice if the focus was automatically placed in the text box when you started a level, though.

REALLY NICE GAME, you should put some kind of "back" button ´couse some times u get into a tutorial u allraedy did and u have to ragequit ur chareceter or finish the tutorial again to go back.

It may just be me being stupid, But I cannot figure out Variables and math part 1/7. I think its myVariable=15; But that doesnt work... Please help!
(P.s great game!)

Wow... such a great game. Please finish it!!! I was wondering though, do you have to go through all the making of the fights, with them having no relation to what you teach us. I found them too boring so i still had $550k at the end

One programmer to another:
public class Thanks {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("Great game
!");
}
}

I program in java (I'm not super good) but I feel I have a decent programming knowledge. So grinding (as I see it) through those first few levels is extremely painful. The first two or three aren't code at all, so I want an option to skip them. Also, and I know this may be too much to ask, but (if you make one) for the sequel, can you make it so you have different approaches to the answers (i.e. myNumber+=100; instead of the annoyingly long version) Otherwise, this is a great game and I appreciate you making it.

Beautiful!!! Can't wait to see if/how you cover subroutines. Not really familiar with ActionScript but hope there is also FOR statements, branching, etc. This is a very good primer for general programming concepts.

Gotta say man im loving this game! I am actually starting my journey in getting a computer programming degree next semester and i think this is definitely gonna give me a jump start with it! 5 Stars!!!!!

Thanks a lot, I really like this, also i am twelve but have a great future, as a programmer, specifically Games and some small mods on Minecraft. Cheers on you, Gregory C. *Glass cup of virtual beer clinking together*

Thank you Gregory! This game is so much fun and it's a great idea. I never even knew I *wanted* to learn how to code before I started this. The RPG really got me hooked in. I am impatiently (in the best possible sense of the word) awaiting the next version!

The example in "Conditionals and logic, AND" chapter is wrong. In part 1 and 2 the initial example will not "display lock" if user has money but not the lvl. The next "identical" code will display lock even in this case.

Part 8/21 Rite of Passage
Good work. Declare a variable called enemyStrength, with type uint, and set it equal to 100.
Am I missing something or should it be - private var enemyStrength:unit = 100;
I really like this game but cant continue without getting this :(

could do with a way to leave each lesson, for instance i just accidentally clicked on the wrong lesson and had to refresh (unless i'm being dense and missing something)

Wow, I just started trying to learn some programming the day before I saw this game, and learning with your method is way better! Great idea!
Some suggestions:
1) in the Ramville Store, it will let you keep buying health restores, even though your health is full.
2) there are a couple instances where you use "it's" where you should use "its"
3) as somebody else pointed out, there's a part in Logic Land where the name of the variable in the answer is "userHP", but in your text, you lead us to believe it's "userHp".
4) In arena battles, why does the enemy always go first? Shouldn't it be random, or random but influenced by level?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"RULE: A closing parenthesis must always match it's opening parenthesis."... English tutorial: in this sentence, use "its", not "it's".
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got to say, even for a programmer who has some experience, it's still a fun little learning game and I hope to see version 2.0 soon! :) Nice work

Haxor thinks he's so smart. I spent all of my money and then gave him $25. He thinks he'll lead the resistance muahaha.
