At the part 4 of the "Elite Training Zone" in the "Using Strings and variables" Section, there is a thing that you should fix: Neither the "$" of the dollarSybom variable or the "300" of the userMoney variable has space(s) at the end or start, so the correct code should be "private var displayMoney:String = dollarSymbol + " " + userMoney;" and not "private var displayMoney:String = dollarSybom + userMoney;" i hope you fix this. Because i ragequitted 2 times only because i tought the " " was necessary.
while(fixedBugs == false){qualityWorser();};
But this is the only error that i found. Fix this and update the game more and the game will become PUUUURFECT.

It's been years, literally! Gregory, when will you release the next update? while(updateReleased == false){usersBeSad();}

I have a computer, and tried to go to the arena, but got the "you dont have a computer" message.
if (playerHasComputer && playerCanUseArena == false) {
player = "sad";
}

Really enjoying the game and feel like I'm learning stuff. My question is, is there a good program out there to run AS3, for testing the code?
The free version is FlashDevelop. Unfortunately it is not easy for beginners because it does not have the full fla support.
You can get a one month of a free trial of Adobe Animate from the Adobe Creative Cloud. After that it's $20 a month (with a year plan). https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/catalog/desktop.html?promoid=NQCJRCJ2&mv=other

Are there any bits where you have to write more than one line at a time? If not, I kind of feel like there should be "tests" at the end of each section where you have to write multiple lines of code to show what you've learned.
Unfortunately, a multi-line code checker would be beyond the ability of this game. That kind of update is a ways down the road but it is on my to do list. Thanks for playing!

Greg. Ah, man. I missed the first stream. Is it possible for you to upload a video of it for those that might've missed it. I found out about the stream 7 hours too late.

Did you miss our January 1 broadcast? Don't worry! We are doing another one tomorrow, Monday January 2 at 2PM Eastern Standard Time.
I will show you specifically how to upload a game to Kongregate and integrate the Kongregate API into a simple game.

It was thanks to this that I went from being an old school BASIC cripple to being able to understand OOP. Thank you again for this magnificent piece of funducational software :D

I am excited to announce I will program the final update to The Programmer RPG, live on www.twitch.tv/themathbuilding, explaining the code as I go.
Sunday, January 1st starting at 2PM EST
Stop on by and learn how to code a little bit! I will answer questions in chat and even show you how to upload your own file to Kongregate! Hope to see you there! - Gregory

Yes, I know that this is an old game, the developer hasn't worked on it for a while, but OH BOY, I have been trying to learn to code C# for over a year now, never understood anything, now I want to make flash games so I tried this out, I LOVE IT, I have learned more than I have ever learned on YouTube in this. And its fun as well. Thank you for making this game. private var ME_APPRECIATE:Boolean: true;
Thank you. I have very exciting news. I am actually going to finish the game live on Twitch, explaining it as I go. Don't have a date yet but soon. Also, as soon as this semester ends, I am going to be doing live programming lessons on twitch. The account name is: TheMathBuilding

Hey dear guys, i have a small Question: I am soon done with the whole lessons of this "game". I love it.
I am starting buying Actionscript 3 + Adobe Animate CC and i taked a look on my Friends Adobe Animate (He has sadly no Actionscript3, so i could check how it is).
My question: after i started making games, do i have to take HTML5 or Actionscript3 in adobe animate ?
Adobe Animate uses Actionscript3 (or Actionscript 2 but I would discourage it). You can use the HTML5 canvas feature in adobe animate. You can make a game using only Actionscript3 with a minimal amount of html code to "put the swf file on your website." I encourage you to learn both languages. Glad you like the game!

Of course the guy in Logic Land has pointy ears and wears blue. OF COURSE. I love you for this, it makes the whole section 10x more fun.

The game acts like the compiler executes your code. It doesn't. All the compiler does is translate your code into machine code for your computer to execute. It doesn't know what the values of your variables as it does not actually execute any of your instructions.
Nice tutorial though.

Well, I completed your game, I don't have any moola to contribute, but I do have some well wishes you could probably have.

Hey, I might just be retarded but at 1/7 Variables and Math my answer was
myVariable = 15;
And it doesn't work :( I'm pretty sure I did the math right :0
The variable was 10, then you added 20 which makes it 30. Then you divided by 2, which makes it 15.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I am confused... help?

Just completed basic training. Really wish I had found this back before I started making my incremental lol. Do I throw away a month of work to start over with an easier language or do I stick with C# because I already have some basic knowledge with it? Hmm.. Choices. Regardless, great game and loving the progression and little bits of comedy I'm seeing here. Very well done!

I have been play this game for almost 7 hours now. (Including all note that I wrote in my book). And I can say. I actually better understand everything about AS3 now. Thank you.
