Fun game, but im unable to heal. I can heal in the show all i want to, and it shows me happy at the health tab, but back in there arena im down to my previous health again.

What symbol do you write to make single-line comment "slash" is wrong, if you expect "//" you should have written "symbols"

Small thing, typo at the end of the Elite rite of passage (part 15/15) "true me" is supposed to be "trust me"? Awesome game!! 5 stars.

Part 5/11 Conditional Basics
You will see why when you code gets very long, with many lines of code.
[...] your code [...]

Awesome game, really inspires me to take up coding, especially C++ for applications!! :) However, one thing I noticed, in the arena, each move (whether you made it or your opponent) counts as 1 turn... It should be your turn + your opponents turn = 1 turn. Hope you will make more educative games in the future! :)

Part 3/9 Building a Tip Calculator Part 2
First, there is more than way to solve any problem.
Shoudn t this be [...] more than one way [...]?

Elite Training is broken. Sorry this stuff is the obvious stuff- not the Flash nonsense that you actually need to know.

Oh this game is so great :D Greets from Ger i learned C# and had fun but these is awesome :D sry for my crap english xD

This is my first comment, I really enjoyed playing the game, helped me refresh my memory on C++ (sort of), I would be very interested to se the game created in this beautiful tutorial.
From my opinion you deserve a big round of applause on your hard work.

Amazing concept and game! With a couple of good graphics designers and some more teacher/developers on board, I could easily see this becoming a mainstream series of educational games covering multiple programming languages... Kickstarter perhaps?

It's cool to know that ActionScript follows regular programming conventions. Being a poor student through most of my programming learning, I never knew what AS actually entailed. Thanks!

part 3/7 Strings there is a typo...i think...Whtespace should be Whitespace...(i m not 100 % sure about this maybe its intended or so O.o...)

You reject correct answers when they don't match the silly layout e.g. You ask what is the value of a variable and I type the answer 7 and you want 3+4=7

not a bad game but im only giving it a 2 and a half for this one glitch making it completely impossible to progress when im on the code question i type inthe correct answer but the game will think i am wrong and take me back to the character select screen after 3 tires so do you think you could maybe fix the problem please cause i want to finish the game.

in the variable type lecture: uint doesn't correspond to whole numbers, but to natural numbers. int is the one that resembles whole numbers

hey please help me i'm blocked :'(
Why this code dont work (it's for the level 4/8 in "Using string and variables"
We have :
private var userMoney:Number = 300;
private var dollarSymbol:String = "$";
And we need to add the two lignes so I do this :
private var displayMoney:String = userMoney+dollarSymbol;
And that don't work please help me ! :'(

Much obliged for the game. Had fun but if was wondering if it is either bugged on my side or just how you wrote it.
- There is no HP bar of either computer or character.
- You get to infinitely recharge either bar and pay for full restore, even after having restored.
- Graphics could be improved if you wanted to.
- animations of attacking get lengthy after a while.
In all I liked the concept and hope you will be motivated to create a sequel. Like I said, much obliged for the game :).

Hey man, kudos to you for making this awesome game. i love you should make a website just for programming tutorials like this one even if its just a .webs account it would be awesome to learn all different kinds of languages like python and c++.

As a SW engineer (C++ native), I find this great. The gamification actually made me learn an obsolete language, hah! The ugly graphics aren't even a big obstacle in a good game.
But hey, Gregory, imagine if you had done that in HTML5 (and prettier), you'd have beaten CodeCombat and would have been in YCombinator by now...

Great game. Very instructive and very well integrated into an RPG/upgrade system. Can't wait for the sequel as the material was still a bit easy for someone with experience in programming languages :-)

This game has a good story. If the graphics issue, RAMville town navigation could be improved and sound and music were to be added...then BAM! Instant cool game!

Just so you know, Mr. Carlson, I already know Pseudocode. To Kong users, firstly, it's a real thing. Secondly, my school teaches it, and it's FUN! (Unless you make mistakes, of course.)

You should add a course about how to create flash games, namely, how to operate with buttons and mouse, how to draw on the screen etc.
