So, the answer on the second rite of passage is wrong. There actually isn't a correct answer. Correct answer should be 1 + 4 or 2 + 3, which isn't a choice.

I am debugging and testing the update right now. I will release it at the latest by 10 pm tonight Mountain Time, which, er, I guess is midnight Eastern Time. I just realized that this is Friday for most of the rest of the world. Oops. :( I'll keep that in mind when I announce the time and date of the next update so I can give a more accurate time. Sorry. Is it obvious I've never released an update before? :)

I never thought that programming was so easy. Man, this is simply awesome and it's something that could only come from a passionate teacher. The way you use the game code as an example for the lessons... I have no words to describe the feeling; it's like finding your role in the world. Each I realized that I was doing the exact thing that made this game possible, everything made sense and I learned in a way that I'll never forget! Can't wait to see many updates! So many that this world won't be enough and the last lesson will be on Mars! haha

SUGGESTION: Sometimes I can't help but have to delete my cookies and cache and stuff, and I'm sure other people have this problem too. So how about having it so you can access the final test anytime during the game, so people who already know it or lost their data can skip all the lessons they already know.

I lost all my progress, (mistake from my side, i think).
How about a "learning" mode and a "learning and playing" modes, where in learning mode you are able to select the section you want to see, no matter how much you've already learnt.
Or passwords that immideatly make you level n and give you n money?

For the full health restore price you should've wrote something like this: private var fullHealthRestorePrice:Number=(maxHealth-userCurrentHealth)*100;
you are thinking like a capitalist! hahaha. What can I say, I'm very generous. Did you know any coding before you played this game, because that is a great line of code.

Awesome game man. I have sat at my computer before looking at server logs and just wondering...huh? Now i understand bits and pieces of how its all processed. Workin my way through this game is fun as hell. Thanks for your contribution man! Keep up the good work!

I literally never ever had anything to do with coding but I just flew through this game and it was a lot of fun and a great learning experience.
I can't wait until the update :)
good job!

Nevermind my last comment, it was just a small mistake of mine. the one on 11/15, none of the answers work. I tried writing the trace myself but that didn't even work.

I am stuck on the Rite of Passage in the Elite Training Zone. How do I use concatenation in a trace, the one with coins. I have tried trace("Coins:" + coins); and anything similar to it, but it doesn't work. I have redone the trace and concatenation levels, but I can't seem to find an answer. Please give me a hint for this one.

@illustratorgirl You just have to declare the type once. So if you write "userInput:Number = x" and you want to add something, you don't need to write ":Number" again. So the correct answer is "userInput *= 2;"

I am really stuck on rite of passage 15/21. I think it should be "userInput:Number *= 2;" but that doesn't work. Help please.

I just finished the game. AWESOME. Is there any chance you would need an apprentice?:D I'd like to learn more. No need for paying for my work.

Taer: there is an elite training area in world one. I'm surprised that you managed to beat world 2 without doing the elite training yet XD

Odd, I did the first map’s first training section, but couldn’t do the second training section. (clicking the tower after the first rite of passage takes me to a map where there’s nothing to click on) I leveled up at the arena, then hit the next town, where I was able to do 2 more sets of training, and it said that I’d get a reward for defeating all the enemies. But when I go back to my house, it says I’ve only done 271/350 sections. D:

just found out kont messed with my comment, but i do it with the brackets on their own line, where there is only the brackets
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hey gregory, really good game.
when using brackets i like to have them like this:
if (something)
{
doSomething();
}
else
{
dontDoSomething();
}
is there any advantages of using it your way?

Seems like this is a perfect candidate to be open sourced, how better to learn than to see the games source code and potentially contribute to it.
