Nevermind my last comment, it was just a small mistake of mine. the one on 11/15, none of the answers work. I tried writing the trace myself but that didn't even work.

I am stuck on the Rite of Passage in the Elite Training Zone. How do I use concatenation in a trace, the one with coins. I have tried trace("Coins:" + coins); and anything similar to it, but it doesn't work. I have redone the trace and concatenation levels, but I can't seem to find an answer. Please give me a hint for this one.

@illustratorgirl You just have to declare the type once. So if you write "userInput:Number = x" and you want to add something, you don't need to write ":Number" again. So the correct answer is "userInput *= 2;"

I am really stuck on rite of passage 15/21. I think it should be "userInput:Number *= 2;" but that doesn't work. Help please.

I just finished the game. AWESOME. Is there any chance you would need an apprentice?:D I'd like to learn more. No need for paying for my work.

Taer: there is an elite training area in world one. I'm surprised that you managed to beat world 2 without doing the elite training yet XD

Odd, I did the first map’s first training section, but couldn’t do the second training section. (clicking the tower after the first rite of passage takes me to a map where there’s nothing to click on) I leveled up at the arena, then hit the next town, where I was able to do 2 more sets of training, and it said that I’d get a reward for defeating all the enemies. But when I go back to my house, it says I’ve only done 271/350 sections. D:

just found out kont messed with my comment, but i do it with the brackets on their own line, where there is only the brackets
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hey gregory, really good game.
when using brackets i like to have them like this:
if (something)
{
doSomething();
}
else
{
dontDoSomething();
}
is there any advantages of using it your way?

Seems like this is a perfect candidate to be open sourced, how better to learn than to see the games source code and potentially contribute to it.

Needs a pause button to stop that playtime clock. I want to stop it, but it can't be stopped and shows more time that I really played.
Also, what really is that Save Game button in the Home for if after every class the game saves itself.

I really liked it. I once started learning to code with some online tutorial,... not a big succes. This was a lot more fun. I can't wait till version2!

How does the ENEMY_ SOLDIER in DARK_FOREST in LOGIC_LAND has the WEAK_PSSWORD_FINDER_ATTACK, while d don't have it?
1. private var developerWillNotMakeVersion2:Boolean;
2.
3. if (developerWillNotMakeVersion2 == false){
4. userWillBeTheHappiestPersonOnEarth();
5. }else{
6. userWillBeTheMostUnhappiestPersonnEarth();
7. }
8.

This is great. Having fun while learning is the best way to learn and I applaud the obvious time and effort you've put into this.
There were a couple of things I noticed. Forgot the first two (because I wasn't taking notes like the awful student I am), but the Elite training zone rite of passage congrats page has "but true me," which should probably be trust.
The attack upgrade screen doesn't show any increase in relative strength when I upgrade Antivirus Software, not sure if this is intentional.
It may just be because I'm unfamiliar with programming, but your explanation on part '5/8 Conditionals and Logic, OR' confused me. How could they continue their turn without a starUserTurn function call if this IF conditional was at the beginning of their turn? This is assuming the gameOver function leads into the start over/main menu/results/stats screen.
Great game. I can't wait to see the rest of it.

Absolutely fantastic. I take the liberty of speaking for everyone when I say: 1. private var roundTwo:String = "We want more!";
2. trace(roundTwo)

"Fantastic! Can you do it on your own? Declare a variable named sectionMoney and set it equal to 800. That is how much money you will get for finishing this section!" *types 10000* :yaoming: who else did it? XD
