November 18th and no news over here. How's it going, Greg? Any clue about when will I finally get to know this game you broke?
I am going to put the game back up within 24 hours regardless of whether or not all bugs are fixed. The game will work for new players and it will work for players who delete their savefiles. I am fairly positive I will have the bugs fixed so that players with savefiles will be able to continue.

Ok I get it don't hate on the dev for a bad update, It happens, However, keeping old versions when your editing so they can be used in case of this happening can be a lesion to all of us...

Not sure how you ended up pushing bad code into production, but there's a programming lesson for you right there. Make sure your code works before it goes live! :)
I have learned a lot of lessons from this debacle! I'm going to spend a few hours tonight on fixing it and I have a good feeling about it. The trouble is that it actually works for me when I test it, it just is not reliable for people with existing savefiles. That's what is a little annoying is that I can't really "test" it, if you know what I mean.

@Nalikill This game allows you to write programs, yes. You can write a program in notepad or any other text editor. You could even write a program on a piece of paper if you wanted. This game does not let you compile and run the program. So, to answer your question, no, you cannot create anything in this game. However, you can use it to learn how to write programs and from there create a game in Flash Professional or whatever software you want to use.

So if this game allows you to program in flash, does that mean that you could in theory create this game within this game? How far down the rabbit hole can you go?

Yip yip!Yip Yip!Yip Yip!lets yip yip for gregory carlson! (ps:the first sentence, "I broke the game" was hilarious :D)

To those who are mad or complaining because it is not working properly just relax. It has worked fine in the past few weeks, just not updated and only had the first part. Those of you who played this game while it worked could see how complex some coding could be and that was just the intro and basic stuff. From what i heard when i was in the discussion gregory and another programmer were talking about things that may fix the problems and i could not even begin to comprehend what they were talking about so its not just a "minor problem that can be easily fixed" so just give it time and instead of complaining about it not working show him your support so he can see that everyone enjoys what he is trying to do with this game and just try to be adults about it. Thank you.

how can a game which hasnt been working for the last couple of weeks appear in the "top games this month" section? massive fail, kongregate..

was looking through a de-compiled version of this game's .swf file, text 1372 is the best part. It addresses people complaining about game crashes and tells them the fix is alt+F4.

This game is amazing and will continue to be. Take all the time you need. We'll still be here even if it takes you a year to fix it. I'm serious, this game has taught me so much that I can play it for like 2 hours straight and not even have to take a break. Hope the game is fixed soon!

Take your time. Debugging is hard, and I'd like to learn this. I've wanted to make games most of my life, and this looks like a great primer. :)

Take your time with fixing the update, don't stress too much. Even if I lose my save score, I won't mind a bit replaying through up to the new material. We appreciate all of the effort you've put in so far; it's a marvelous teaching tool. You've kept me coming back every day to check on the update for two weeks now, and you can bet I'll be patient enough to wait longer if necessary. :)

Looking forwards to when you get the update working, arrays have been a source of confusion for me when I tried dabbling into as3.

If you finish this game (and debug the bugs), then it would be funny if in a few years Kongregate will have more video game programmers than the people who play the games.

First time loading the game.....I read a note from a programmer about how buggy the game is. I re-read the note, unsure if it is a very witty intro to the game or a real message. I read it a 3rd time....No, pretty sure I am not gonna get to play this game today.

Hi Gregory! This game is AMAZING! I just can't beat the last level. The one where you have to fix the buggy update on the Kongregate page...
