Game has been seriously imbalanced for 2 weeks now. Changed my rating from a 3 to a 1. Don't waste your time with this game, the developer isn't interested in updating it.

From Groupski: Thanks for all your comments. We are finishing testing a major update to the game. The teams will be gone in favor of autoracer - one that generates the same amount of fame as manual race but can also be upgraded to race faster. Also there will be 2 new upgrades that increase the cars and sponsors production based on the achievement points. The plan is to release this new update before the end of the week, so don't loose hope :)

@Thee Bro Man: to be fair, the dev did post a comment yesteday that they are testing major changes and doing away with race team in favour of auto racer so they haven't exactly abandoned the game unless this major change never materializes in reasonable time.

So I started playing about 2 hours ago, and it seems I've hit a brick wall; money. Judging by the way that upgrades are priced, there should be something else besides School Newspapers making my money at the moment (which BTW makes up 99.7% of my income). Another seemingly correct assumption I've made is that the dev abandoned this game. There are just too many comments talking about teams and auto racing for it not to be in IF the dev is still updating the game. smh

@goliat clearly useless, i buy 1 team for 1sp which give me 1qi which will be beginning to be profitable only eleven day later.. but at that point i'll be winning in No or in Dc.. and it won't even represent 1/10000 of the cost of the thing at that time.

Biggest problem with teams is that they are not affected by car upgrade and race upgrade, therefore they are absolutely not worth buying.

Recently in court: "For me it was just a game, I had absolutely no idea what my supervisors did with those newsboys, they just said the would perform better having those newsboys around them. In hindsight should have checked, but I thought since those boys already liked mechanics, I don't know... I am so sorry for what has happened..." Defendant breaks down in tears.
Some time later: "The jury has found you guilty of child abuse in over 10 Billion cases, since the severity of this case is of unimaginary und unprecedented dimensions, I sentence you to 19287 years in prison..." - "19287 Years!? That's brilliant then my new Linnen 366X will arrive!" Defendant laughs maniacally...

ok so i switched my fps to 1 frame per second... suddenly pressing enter gives me like 10 clicks worth of fame per second - highly recommend this
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Yojimbosan: 0.5sec is too long for this game. I set my script to run at 0.01s per click and it's just barely tolerable running 24/7.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Lots of rebalancing needed, especially with the teams/generating fame, as well as the higher upgrades across the board. It's a good framework, but a lot more work is needed.

@ Karuku I just reached a new car so it was a good time to run a quick check. I took all the fame from clicks to get to 1 international magazine upgrade(285 clicks) and invested in teams. They now produce 1.21 No/s more. I then took that same 285 clicks and bought the first magazine. That magazine generated cash so quickly that I am now able to buy a car upgrade that I otherwise wouldn’t have access to for a while. That car upgrade increased my click fame by 1.3 decillion. 1 click is now worth 11.5 days + 1083(seconds worth of generation more) then it was if I had just invested in teams again. By taking less than 5 minutes to click I was able to be 11.5 days ahead of where I otherwise would have been. If I invested less than 5 minutes clicking every 11.5 days I would always stay ahead of teams. Just imagine what would happen if I had an hour to burn. I could refrain from logging on for months and still be far ahead of idle regen.

@Karuku - Again you can't argue the math. You are confusing THIS game with how "Idle Games" work. Every idle game is different. If you take all the Fame you have invested in teams and invested into upgrades you would have access to much higher upgrades much faster. Which means even more fame faster. Let me math it out for you. Character limit so new comment incoming.

Nice to hear back from you Dev groupski. I and others are quite happy you are still attending to the game. Head's up. Auto racing alone is not going to be enough to dig out of the hole unless it goes increasingly faster, and at some point around the MBW 3M it's going about 10x faster than an autoclicker can manage. This is in the absence of other changes. If you include other balance changes who knows the potential? Thanks again for the game.

@karuku
You my be right in your comment but i hope you are very patient : the 10 th car require 4.54 10^60 money if you just idle once per month using team that brings you 30 nonillion per month (ie 30 10^27), you will be able to circa quadruple your team production every months that mean that after 10 months you will have around 1 000 000 times your initial production (ie 30 10^33), if you multiply your production by 1 000 000 every 8 months you will need more than 40 months to get to the 10th car ie 3/4 years. I do not think that anyone will wait that much time even for an idle game. And seeing the current progression of the game there must at least 20 cars so you can exprect to need another 4 year to get near the end ie in total 6 to 8 years : there is some chance on such a long timeframe than the game will not be able to run on updated software...

@Orikz: I don't think you know how idle games work. Once again, since reading's difficult, yes, teams need improvement. But you can't examine just a couple of days 'before it pays for itself'. It does take awhile to do this, yes, but then it pays for itself again, and again. Reinvestment keeps yielding more results, and after you've been playing for a few months, it becomes a little different. Sometimes I put down idle games for up to a month at a time, and if I put the game down now, and came back a month later, I'll have just under 30No Fame. So, since this is difficult to understand, I'm going to say this again--This is not a JRPG, RTS, FPS, or a TBS. It does not have anything in common with a point-and-click adventure. This is because it is, as every other game like it is, an idle game. If you're hovering over your idle game for the better part of a day (or even a couple of hours) chances are it's because you've got chores you're avoiding.

Even with an autoclicker (first time I've ever tried to use one, running stable at 0.5) the progression rates are horribly unbalanced. Not much fun, even for an idler.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
unless i'm doing something wrong (or right?) but tech campus and tech center are most optimal thing to buy and are also always equal to my currency gain... or at least it has been for about 8 exponents and 2 new car types...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Devs, are you still updating the game or have you left? I'd really like to know. If your not, I'll play until I get the MBW 3M and quit as the game needs some balance or a prestige system/reborn system to work.

The scaling of purchase prices after car 6 starts getting to be too large. also, there doesnt appear to be any significant gain during offline times. Please make some balance changes! I loved SwarmSim....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the feels when the game tells you that you get your next car in 1350 years... my grand grand grand kids will be so happy about that!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah that is basically what I said in my original comment to Karuku. I just said that there was zero point so I wanted to clarify there is a tiny point. Just not one worth investing in teams for.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
From 72 trillion years to 2.8 million years in a 1.5 day, car 10 looks like it is possible to reach in maybe another 3 days.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Orikx: even for game progress, the teams really don't make sense. Spending the fame elsewhere would be more cost effective and contribute more towards getting to the end game (assuming it is even reasonably possible to get there), where we can always buy the teams at that point to complete the game progress. Esp since not buying the team does not appear to block progress in anyway.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Quick amendment to my last comment. There are achievements tied to teams so there is a reason. Just not a reason if your concern is actually progressing through the game. Before you ask yes, I have lots of fame invested in teams just for achievement points but I realize they aren't doing anything of value. I have over 1.8B Amateur Team members. The amount they produce overnight is a drop in the bucket compared to a few clicks of Race.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Karuku - I don't think you understand how math works. It doesn't matter how many you buy. Every one you buy takes 1 MILLION seconds to pay for it's self. At a cost of 1Mil and they produce 1 fame/s. That is 11.5(rounded down) days for each one you purchase to pay for it's self. So you see zero return on your investment until after 11.5 days.
If you buy 1 or 1000 at this exact moment it takes 11.5 days to earn your fame back.
If that was the only thing to consider then yes they would be worth it to buy. But every fame spent there is less fame you spend upgrading that has a HUGE impact on how much Fame you can produce. So you are FAR better off never buying any teams and just using every bit of fame purchasing upgrades that make it so you produce even more fame with each click. Unless you just absolutely plan to never click the Race button there is zero reason to spend fame on teams.

Developer: Swarm sim was strangely addictive. However, while you've taken a few good ideas from there to make this new thing, its pretty clear that you havent given much thought to game balance at all. Half the comments below involve people rage quitting due to the game slowing too much after car six, and the uselessness of teams. Why not let us know that youre going to balance these issues shortly, so the rest of us dont join in with the rage-quit crowd?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Putting anything about balancing issues aside, I can claim this game has high potential to be much better game. + i would love to see a better, shorter achievement screen, maybe in a form of icons or sth

Came to a point where playing legit is not giving you any progress anymore. Will leave this running to check every day, hoping it will get an update soon.
