On "Big Guns" wave 4 of 4, start by going right face up the first Eanova capital ship to appear and blast the living crap out of it with everything you've got. You'll recover a decent amount of the health you lost from the scrap it drops, and it will be a lot easier once you have some actual room to move.

I've run across a bit of a glitch i completed the level titled "Threesome" and instead the game told me that i had failed the mission and i had to beat it again so just a fair warning

GUYS! listen. Developer response from HeroInteractive
This is the biggest complaint and I think we could have done more there if we had the funding. As I mentioned elsewhere, we need your 5's and to increase the rating to make a sequel more likely, where we could make those kinds of improvements. Originally we kept it simple because we wanted to make it that way, we wanted the focus to be on trying new styles of ships and blowing stuff up in new ways. (<a response from herointeractive on top comments) we all need to pitch in and give this game a five star rating for more updates and even better, a sequal. up this so everyone knows what we have to do!

with the money you get from sponsors once we give you all our 5's, can you employ a writer? With a game that has an emphasis on dialogue to drive the story it needs to be halfway decent, the protagonist's lines were cringeworthy at best. It would be great if we could see the characters develop as opposed to reeling off one of 5 stock 'Im such a hardass you are puny' one-liners.

the medium v. hard labels are incredibly relative to what ship you have. For instance "ambush the ambush" is way harder with the seeker missile ship than is "tentacles and robots"

I like to think of Shock and Awe as a ship that can phase others out of existence (by pushing them out of the arena) and then they slowly get back all their weapons. I also think it's the only ship that can take on multiple capital ships with ease, especially the three green motherships, which are overpowered.

it's a good game but the screen flashing every time shock and awe hits is really annoying and sometimes painful. sometimes i can't even see what's going on. I'm just glad I'm not epileptic

HeroInteractive Dev comments are immense. These guys are pro haha...and I give the game 4/5 because I'm sorry...no game is perfect. Should have a 10 rating Kong... :/

If a single human pilot in a single one-man fighter is capable of taking on the combined armadas of five alien races, what's to stop humanity from simply taking over the galaxy through superior firepower?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I rated 5/5 for a lot of reasons. 1) The sequel would rape shit. 2) I really enjoyed the classic point of this game. 3) not much shooters around like this.

I know developers want everybody to rate their game a 5 so they can get funding on their future games, but developers don't see the rating system from a regular guy's point of view.
All developers want people to rate the game based on how much work went into it and the level quality, but the average man is going to rate the game based on how fun it is.
HeroInteractive was saying that if everybody votes a 5 because of how much work went into this, that they'll have a good chance of getting funding on their next game, so that they can make an awesomely awesome game and win the monthly contest, but they won't get their 5s and their funding if they don't make an awesomely awesome game in the first place.

"Once we were flying around launching missiles and blowing stuff up, we agreed- this is awesome."
that gives me high expectations.

Auto fire would be a great addition instead of having to hold the button down the entire time but otherwise pretty fun.

I really liked the game for the first few levels but it gets really slow and repetitive after a while. I would like to see upgradeable ships in between. Like RoF, armor, and damage. This would allow a faster rate of gameplay since the levels just begin to drag on in the later levels. But it is still a good game. :)

When I first played I thought it was just going to be a BT clone. It was nice to see enough changes like different styles of enemy play so it wouldn't be an exact clone while still bringing nostalgia for the fans of the BT series.

Went through this game and have to say I am a little disappointed. About halfway through the game I purchased the best ship, but I didn't know how or really why it was better than the ship I started with. There were more guns on it but how much better were they? Also, those red ships that wouldn't die even after their life bar ran out. I mean, if they have a life bar they should die when it runs out. If they don't they should do something like chase after you until they explode. No upgrades, no bonuses, no boosters...I mean, what's the point of this game other than a grind to the end?

Man, that sniper ship is awesome! Instant kill for 2/3 all ships plus the railgun gives the big boom at major ships with 100% accuracy for that.

hay if you do make a sequel add her little sister as an alt character that would be funny like maybe on bonus lvls play as her in a side story

by the way dont listen to the bubble tanks otaku (Javanese for obsessed fan) dont get me wrong bubble tanks was an amazing game but your aloud to make games that arnt clones of bt they would have you make bt games exclusively and i like it the way it is i believe actors call it getting stuck in your role like Spock no one knows his real name anymore and those who do expect him to say live long and prosper every time they see him

@Azuriel855 your an idiot its called a glitch and they dont get anything for page visits kong does they get stuff from ratings and who goes to the shop at the end of a lvl wait 2 sec and do it at main menu
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i just found a bug/glitch, when i killed the big ship in wave 2 of ambush the ambush it didnt die, but whenever i dealt it damage from any source it would drop its scrap amount everytime i dealt damage to it, kind of a infinite money trick
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i agree with hero the versatility is great and unlike alot of other games its not just courser maze of bullets (reactance or bulletstorm for example when i seen the ship named that i thought it was gonna be a bullet dodging game) there is no pasterns in the fire you have to weave through tho one request mute button for music if its there were the hell is it. also i like the attitude of the character and each upgrade calls for a new battle type
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i would really enjoy it if there was a way to use your favorite style of ship in the later levels, but as it is they are just too weak even if they are your favorite one. maybe all ships have the same health as your strongest ship but with their independant weapons?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Initially it's a fun game, but it gets boring quick. The lack of depth in upgrades is a big contributor to this problem, though the small arenas don't help either. Having more room to maneuver would be nice, especially on the later missions where capital ships take up so much space that the game feels cluttered and chaotic, in a very unenjoyable way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Because of that static background you movement feels unnatural. In fact, sometimes I feel like I'm not moving at all. I'd suggest adding smoke trails or some blur.

Wow! I love this game! It's like a classic space shooter, but even better! I can see myself playing it to the end, then restarting it to play again! A wonderful job, however, I have one question. How can there be fire in space?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I liked it. It brought the spirit of BT into a new and interesting context; however, I have one small complaint. If you fire your secondary weapon the moment its cooldown time finishes (for the most efficient timing), the cooldown process will start over without firing the weapon. Then again, I've only noticed this on Bullet Storm, maybe it's unique to that ship.
