It's an interesting game to play, and some of the comments they throw around actually made me laugh. I also like how it makes an impression by having female main character. The music tracks could wary a bit more, but that's not a big deal. Making the upgrades more focused and more self-explanatory, like engine upgrades, different weapons, armor updates, shields etc. would make this more customizable and fun, allowing the player to choose their role. The sound effects are nice and clear, the explosions however... they just lack the kick that should be there. Different game modes would be nice and some allies could show their faces too. Overall, as of now I am giving this 4/5. Good job, but there's still room for improvement.

Honestly, even before the game loads (which reminds me it's been a few minutes of just a green screen), seeing the developer responses begging for 5 disgusts me. What is this, Newgrounds? That said, graphics are average thought admittedly better than I could do, music's...eh. Game got boring fast. I suspect this comment will be downvoted before anyone can really read it.

Last time I gave it a 2.5/5 without really going in depth of why. That was unfair of me.
As of the updates, I'm giving it a 3.
Pros
Clean graphics and controls, responsive
Decent sound track
Cons
-Repetitive gameplay(BT all over again)
-lack of any real scenarios, just wave after wave.
-limited customization
-lack of game modes

I have come across a bug. During the first exiles mission, the smaller ships run out of health but don't blow up. They are very hard to kill. Plus so developer can see this.

i don't know what I like the most of the game, the dinner bell by each enemy that is warping in, the freaks who wondering around in the universe, the fact I play as a girl or the endless waves of enemies that can take me over half a hour
4/5

I'm pretty sure that some levels are impossible. I've got the best ship, but I still can't beat one of the very hard levels. And this doesn't really take skill because the only way to dodge attacks is to pray and get lucky. That doesn't even work for me. And I hate how the enemy doesn't even shoot at you. They shoot all over they place so you can't really run away from attacks or use any tactics.

The gameplay was fun, easy and intuitive. It reminded me of classic top down shooters, and I liked the different styles of ships as you get them. I loved the sniper, but it got too difficult to use with all the swarms later on! I was disappointed by the ending, since it was just an unlimited fight and it didn't feel like a satisfactory conclusion to what little storyline there was. But maybe we'll find out more about the artifact in a sequel. 5/5

I like arena shooters like this. I think this is a great game. Here are a few suggestions for the game to improve.
1.Add gamepad support
2.Add neon psychedelic mode. Add different graphic styles.
3.Have organic ships made of flesh so there is BLOOD!
4.Have a custom arena size
5.Add a combo system
6.Add powerups
7.Have custom battle (configure enemies, arena size, powerups available, number of waves, etc)
8.Add ubercool weapons (the weapns are cool, but not ubercool. For an example of uber cool weapons, look at the Unreal Tournament series or Duke Nukem 3D, translate into arena shooter form.)
9.Make it into a downloadable game with mod compatibility.
10.Make into Retail game
11.Make 2.5d with cool effects. (bearing in mind LOW spec pc's)
12.Add multiplayer
This may be a task and a half, that is why i am giving 5***** STAR!!!! for support.

Just one big problem with the game. WTF is the artifact? You could at least give that answer once the convoy is safe. Otherwise it is pointless....

Great game but needs more upgrade.Waves is short. This game needs a expansion pack with more ships, more and harder levels, an weapons. 5/4 (sorry for my bad English)

Great game. And if you are making a part 2, let me choose a race/sex and make it so sometimes there is a 3-way battle.

If you want to win the game just buy the "Shock and Awe" tank. Shock bulets are hitting and PUSHING the target. You need to push the boss out of the circle. Now you have the time to deal with smaller enemies. The secondary weapon is also good. No need to have the target visible. Just aim the tank to the direction of yellow arrow and fire.

Before you get mad at me for saying this I still give it 4/5. now i used to be into game making. you said you need funding for a sequel one. First making weapon upgrade section, is not that hard. And you said "trying new styles of ships and blowing stuff up in new ways" This kind of game has been done many times in flash-game history. is more like a bubble tanks 3.5 Last nobody likes people telling them to give a 5/5 Mostly cause we all know that your also trying to get the kongregate prize money, especially because the prize this month is 3,000$ not 1,500$ But it's still a okay game! :)

I would prefer a control scheme which had W go forward in relation to your cursor, S backwards and A and D strafe. It would the gameplay a lot better.

Good stuff, but not enough to seperate itself from BT. GREAT first installment. Love to see where some development might take this.

When I'm flying around all the time, it can be hard to get a good look at the ships. I really like this art style, so some sort of gallery might be nice. 5/5

I find it distasteful that in response to valid criticism about your game needing work on re-balancing you tell people to give it perfect marks so you can make another game that isn't as flawed.

seems so much like Sins Of A Solar Empire in flash - the Chosen is Advent, the Vascarri is, well, the Vasari... they even look similar.

Not bad, certainly solidly made, but far, far too easy - circle-straefing whilst firing in the vague direction of the yellow arrows will get you through most of the game with minimal hassle, or even much in the way of damage. Which is just as well, because (with the exception of effects like the weapon neutralisers) this game is not very good at telling you when you've taken a hit. The whole thing feels rather limited - there's very little room in the arenas, and the upgrades don't really feel substantial when the aforementioned tactics will carry you through most of the firefights. I enjoyed myself, but there's really nothing special here.

I see you nerfed the "bulletstorm"... omg i went through every level by just flying next to the edge and shooting at the middle of the dome, then finishing the remnants, that kind of ship should be a top-end craft, you can save for any ship you want to with just that one. i was wondering if you could add more ships, i would like to see one with swirling missiles as standard attack or something alike, the concept is that the ship shoots a wall of projectiles which can hit the same enemy multiple times with a wide spread. i like your game a lot, even though its way too easy, add extra dmg to enemies or dont allow gears to heal you to make it funnier, 5/5

This is a totally awesome game, and I love the BT arena map, but we need more things and stuff and things. One crazy suggestion for #2 would be to have like 10x more ships to play as, and each of those ships has a Usage-Experience bar. All of the ships would be separated into several tiers, and to unlock the tiers containing better ships you have to have a certain number of ships at a certain level. It would still keep it simple, but it would force the player to use different gameplay strategies. Of course, you should add like a billion more levels, just so grinding doesn't become much of an issue. Also, field objects would be pretty great. I don't think you should add random power-ups, though. Those always unbalanced most games, in my opinion.
Anyways, fantastic game. =D

I found having the "currency" floating at you at the same time as the missiles made it quite difficult considering your field of view.
