Matthew0275, you may have misunderstood me. It's certainly possible to win with a mix of primary weapons, secondary weapons, buffers and defenses. I went through the first time with DMG (to shoot things), heavy cannon (cheap damage sponge), sniper cannon (to shoot big things) and decoy drones (to absorb enemy rapid-fire shots), adding a damage buffer at the 5-slot level. Then I realized how much easier and more effective it was not to bother. Just taking a single fast-upgrading DMG (with SC backup on just a few waves) is a far stronger option; you actually degrade your fighting ability by fielding more turrets. Mind you, it can be a fun self-challenge to win with the weaker strategy, but a game where you can choose to play the smart way or or handicap yourself with less effective weapons just isn't the same as a game where you make choices between several potentially effective weapons/layouts/combos.

Just a heads up, I'm currently working on a big update to address the restart campaign issue, make some of the early campaigns easier, and to add a special kongregate challenge mission!

To restart a campaign (at least in Firefox)
Go to another campaign and start it
Beat 1 wave! (this is the key part)
Now you should be able to "restart" the other since it can only hold one campaign save at a time.

I do not like this the hench men are 2 hard to kill and the sniper rifle is a promised instant kill, and it doesnt kill those huge ships on wave 3

I love it. Not thrilled about having to pay for extra content but it is good enough that I am actually considering it 0_0

start a challenge exit the challenge and then start whatever you wanted to restart your save file will be over written

Love the game, but I am completely stuck and want to restart the Eastern Plains campaign from the start (save up for the doomsday) But I cannot. How do I restart the campaign to the first wave?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't see why you guys dislike the game so much, you don't have to restart the entire thing over again each time, you can pause and restart a mission or go back to the map, and at the beginning it lets you load up one of the campaign accounts.
Also, I've never noticed a problem with exp division, I always have at least three attacking turrets out at once without any problems. maybe you need to change your strategies, I've survived by adding health to the first turret the enemies attack instead of always raising it's power.

its an alright game but im not in to it its awkward to kill stuff some times cuz u have to wait for the turret to charge its an ok game if ure in to it 3\5

Great game, but it got really easy really quickly (after you start getting more absurd amounts of money at the start and 6 & 8 bonus at the beginning). My final level setup was: 2 dmg buffs, 1 duel machine gun, 1 heavy cannon, 1 shield generator (for machine gun). By the end, my duel machine gun was dealing 7 dmg per shot, my heavy cannon getting 115dmg per shot.

I liked the steampunk graphics and sound. I also loved the idea of combining a tower defense strategy game with an arcade shooter. Unfortunately, the execution failed: you offer a variety of turret combinations and placement options, but none are as good as just buying one DMG and shooting everything with it (add a sniper for waves that include the aerial bulldozer boss). I suggest that you adjust the exp division so that using more than one turret becomes a viable choice - otherwise, it's just an arcade shooter that pretends to involve strategy.

5/5 for game
1/5 because you made it so if you make one mistake with your purchases, you CANNOT restart the campaign, so you ahve to restart the entire game from scratch. That is so dumb I cannot find words to express how dumb it truly is.

Someone make some badges for this game!
I like how the experience gets divided among the turrets, it awards you for beating a level with only a few turrets

great game. However, splitting into campaigns is a tad annoying. TD games are so popular because you get to keep the things you have, along with the upgrades. If you can convert this game into a tower defense title...you'll have an EXCEPTIONAL game. I dont think much would have to change except enemy stats and how they come at you.
Also...you should reward the player for being a good shot. As it is now, the player gets no bonus for keeping his turrets alive, for not repairing, for taking risks, for only have 1 tower out. Perhaps distribute exp points differently.
These are all just ideas for you to play with. I love your game, very creative, very fun, and very polished. keep up the great work!

Possible Bug: On one level, the enemy ground cannon that fire giant bullets missed my turrets with one giant bullet, but I failed to destroy the bullet. The level never ended. I think because there was still an enemy that hadn't been killed (eg, the bullet).

yes, there should be a way to restart a campaign.
here's a suggestion: a "link" or "command" turret that will allow you to control all guns at once when selected!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yes drones are to be like that. They build only what number of drones you have it leveled at. starts at 1 and you can upgrade to make more and have them have guns.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The decoy drones don't rebuild for me. They only build at the start of the wave, and then once dead they're gone for the rest of the wave... is it supposed to be like that?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love to see steampunk alive and well, and the gameplay's fun, although I get bored with a long wave. Thanks for a great game.

Seems like everyone is already yelling about the need for campaign re-start, and i agree, hopefully if enough of us complain, it'll get fixed....

I like the idea of the linked plasmid gun, but with the slower rate of fire and without the 360 swivel, even 2 upgraded plasmid guns are not a sufficient primary weapon.
Plasma guns are worthless against armored creatures introduced in mountain pass.
I still like the Dual MG more, networked Dual MG's would pwn.
Next, the restart level does not work for me. If you buy the wrong gun, you are hosed. Even when I exit and come back my gun is retained.
Still 5/5 though.

at first i thought the dual machine was the best... however, at the 4th campaing, the one with flying elephant machines, i had to move to the primary cannon... and it RULES above others with practice ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You can restart the campain! just click on restart level, and tada! I like how there are more levels, enemies, and guns. 5/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I dont see how all of u are having trouble i beat the first and second campaings with just 1 machine gun no buffers at all i havent tried the 3rd yet

i like the game. but aargh, i'm frustrated. i wasn't happy with the way the first round of a campaign went. (i lost a couple gun mounts, and thus a lot of my money.) i want to restart the campaign... but there's no way to do that, apparently. i can restart the -level-, but that only goes back to the point at which my guns are dead. i've tried backing out to the menu... i'm guessing that the only way to restart the campaign is to make a new profile.
frustrating.

Sadly, the first campaign is much harder than the second one, putting a lot of people off. The second one is much easier.
I lub this game much more than version one.
