buy a double machine gun and spend all it's upgrading points into damage (you'll get +1 damage every 5th lvl).
spend your money on repairing and buying damage enhancers.

I like the concept and design... But I think you really need to think about doing some rebalancing. I think you really need to consider if you want your players to win or just get annoyed. Also the drone turret only releases ONE drone (before upgrades) which is pathetic!
Finally... I gotta say, hate the pay-to-play option. I know it's optional but I think it brings down the game.

HAHAHAHA Dude! You just completed the When Kongregate Attacks achievement in StormWinds 1.5 and won the When Kongregate Attacks badge and 15 points! Hahahaha, super easy way to get the medium “When Kongregate Attacks” badge:
Start the campaign and buy one click-to-shoot gun (like the sniper rifle or lightning gun). Start the wave, and shoot one enemy… any enemy. Then die.
You will get about 200 points, plus a 20000 point bonus for 100% accuracy! Well above the 10000 points you need for the badge. Thanks Interrobang

I love this game... BUT! It is very easy. Start with double machine gun, and then add a shield buff and damage buff... winning almost every level with that the first time through.

grrrr had mines machine guns and buffs, no way to kill boss on second campaign. nice game though, would benefit from gun crews, maybe as each member of cre dies gun slows down unless you in command of it.

Fun. I like this type of shooting game. I remember playing the original version of StormWinds, though, and this new one seems to have gotten a lot easier. In the original version, the more expensive guns were actually necessary; I've been tearing through this one with just the basic cannon and support units. In hard difficulty, I *might* use the time gun, because the tiny helicopters are harder to hit. The enemies need to have more hit points and be more plentiful.

Fun game. I like the rocket launchers since you can keep the rockets hovering around indefintiely until you need to use them.

This is my favorite game. May I make a small suggestion though, could you please make the background color a bit lighter on the last campaign? I am trying to win everything using a single heavy cannon and support structures but it's just not possible to see the shell when it's so dark. Thanks.

Solid idea, good graphics and strategy, but it's just too hard. If they made better unmanned turrets so I didn't have to go around clicking everything like an idiot and die every two minutes, I'd give it 5 stars. But they didn't. So I gave it a 2.

I want to like this game, it looks great, the setting is cool... I didnt even see any of the bugs ppl are talking about. I just dont like the shell lobbing power meter thing.

Game was kinda fun, but then got buggy mid-campaign. All the guns went to (0,0) (upper-left corner of screen). Had to reload the game and resume - even then, selecting weapons with mouse didn't work. Upgrade process also buggy or doesn't make sense. 3/5 with potential

It's silly that the other guns don't fire unless you personally fire them. Don't they have crews or something? They should at least fire ineffectively or slowly.

Hey Sage Bahamut, you have to arc your shots over their shields. This should never be a problem because you should always have a basic cannon or two in front to soak up fire.

Hmmm not a good/fun challenge game.
To boring, to easy, no need to build many (different) towers. You can only controll 1 anyway, maybe have the rest controlled VERY slowly by the cpu.
To much of the same.

I liked this game... when it worked. Now all that happens is the swords hit the screen for the Armor Game's logo. Then nothing. What's the deal?

Extra tip 1: You have decoys, they have decoys too - those small irritating things flying around... I think those are decoys since they don't seem to do much (any) damage. I just ignored them and it is a big help. Extra tip 2: Some ships are more powerful so take them out first. Extra tip 3: Some shoot big bullets - you can take out those so that you won't get the damage but try to quickly clear them to get to the source - the ships themselves. Extra tip 4: Remember to remember both turrets each break. Extra tip 5: Put the dual gun in the top left slot because it is out of range for most enemy ships and thus most safe. Have fun!

Suggestion for those having trouble completing the campaign for the card: Use just ONE dual gun because none of the rest can match its speed. Thereafter when you can afford, you can buy a heath turret. That is ALL. Do NOT buy anything else. The money is "wasted" in this sense but who cares? You don't need it and you just want the card. When you lvl, spend the points you get on increasing firing rate and buff %. That is ALL. I made a mistake the first time by experimenting with most of the turrets - if you just want to explore, that's fine. Otherwise if you just want to get the badge, the above was how I managed it.

first campaign was incredibly fun.
second campaign rolls around and a swarm of those annoying tiny shits start flying around, and the game just stops being fun. i tried to get past that level for about 30 minutes and couldn't do it.
shame. 3.

Graphics = epic. I'm also v. impressed with the amount of crap you can get onscreen before slowdown
Audio = the music never gets annoying, and the sound effects are cool
Animation = everything blows up very nicely. Feels solid!
Design = while I sometimes feel limited in the ways I can build my base (shields are NECESSARY, some guns are useless) there's a lot of customizalbility here.
Gameplay = Controls are smooth and extremely responsive! I got a little tired of having to charge up the heavy cannon's shots but that's the price you pay for asskicking.
My winning strat was Heavy cannon in front, shield in back, damage booster in middle/bottom, and decoys. Shield the heavy cannon. Max out damage boost, HC damage, and shield bonus. Give decoys guns as soon as possible. After campaign 2 I never purchased a machine gun and always had 10-20k+ cash lying around at the end of a campaign.
Radio plasmids are practically useless, does anyone use those? v_V

I was in the "Man, I played this game before, it's not that good" camp when I came back in for the card, but after getting stuck playing it for a while, I remembered why it's a favorite. Addictive, if nothing else, but I'm a sucker for "defense your arse" games like this.
