its and ok game, but quite repetitive, i would also like it more if i didnt spend time upgrading the turret, then losing the dam thing when i go to the next campaign!

excellent game! The purchasing turrets and many campaings and challenges and leveling up, to good to be true. But maybe one or two more primary guns, but i give it a 500/5

hungrygrok: Yes, I agree, I do need to add a restart campaign button. I'm going to see if I can do it without the file getting switched when I reupload because I don't want people to lose their save points.
crowdstorm: you can enter in keycodes through the "Deluxe" title menu option.

1) add a HELP section to the menu [I'm in the middle of a campaign and can't remember some thing or another]
2) Add a RESTART CAMPAIGN button somewhere. If I ABANDON CAMPAIGN and then go back into it, I'm at the same level and with the same turrets as before.
Otherwise, GREAT work, excellent play, good writing, and fantastic graphics!

agree that game would be better if you could fire all weapons at once (machine guns at least).
its got better since the original but i'm stuck on a level with wayyy too many enermy, trying to shoot bullets andenermys all at once. phew!

Seriously this games needs to rebalanced, you guys probably played it two thousand times with 1.0 and 1.5 so it doesn't seem "that hard" but expecting players to pick up that experience in ~2 campaigns isn't realistic. I'm the only player to beat Hard mode in the original, and if I'm not enjoying playing through 1.5 because it's too difficult, who exactly are you targeting your "casual" games for?
By contrast take DTD, the 100 (on the original) is still unbeaten and I still love trying for it. But everyone could beat the 90% of the game's content in a relaxed, enjoyable manner. Why not apply the same strategy for this game, and only have the challenges be super hard?

The reason for multiple slots is so you can have secondary weapons (long reloads) and passive ones. If you buy 4 heavy cannons, of course you're going to get your ass handed to you. You want one main weapon (Double machine gun is good), 1-2 secondary long reloads for different situations, I use double snipers for taking down fast moving enemies and enemies with -damage mods. And then 0-1 passive, depending on the levels. Decoys are pretty good for that purpose.
Overall, good game. A lot of effort seems to have gone in to it.

Don't complain about the 4 slots.. They'res passive weapons and support weapons.. Put them down too.. Also if you get too the 3rd stage their is a weapon that you put down like 3 and you fire one.. if fires all 3.

Good game, though the things with the giant shield in front are a bit overpowered. Seems to be a bug that makes all of my turrets vanish on the mountain level.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why bother with 4 or more weapons, and then only let you use one at a time.
Lame.
Noobs has nothing to do with it. This game would be way better with all barrels firing.

i've just been using the machine gun for everything. otherwise i'm not sure how to take out enemies with the long recharge while being constantly bombarded. But still good game

this game sucks
the first gun is hard to aim and on the second level i couldn't select my machine gun and died when irestarted there was only orange guys1/5

Incredibly game! I love the different weapon combinations.
Cannons power up awesome! Combine with a coupel damage boosters and you have an instant death shot for almost all non-boss enemies.
A shield generator is incredible... maybe even a bit overpowered.
There is so much here to explore. I think I've come back 5 or 6 different times to continue my game or explore different tactics over the past week (been playing on Armor Games site).
There was not question about parting with my $5 to get a few bonus things and to support work at this quality level.
Thank you making this! I hope to see many future versions of Stormwinds!

ah yes, i forgot to mention, some battlesounds are missing: enemy engine noise, enemy machine gun shots, own plasmid canon shots ...

good game, hero. nice, clean and challanging. first i wanted to give you 3/5 cause in a game of this quality i miss some variety. not just aim, shoot and upgrade. or maybe a stronger accentuated storyline with some options.
but whatever, there are some incredibly stupid shooters here, which get a very good rating, so 5/5 fot this game.
as to tactics: 3 or 4 plasmid + sniper for piercing and a heavy for its armor made my day, all other combinations sucked - even the 5 homing missle combination. and i dont see the benefit of the support towers. a little plus in health (healt buffer) does not outweight the missing plasmid cannon (didnt i upgrade them enough). maybe in a 6 slot game a health and a damage buffer pays off. but i dont know. ...
and imho the doomsdaydevices dont pay off either, cause they are just affordable later, but are low level then and of no use. so?

The basic idea is great, but the implementation is rather poor. Difficulty ramps too quickly and the basic gun is too hard to work with and doesn't do enough damage. If you require a lot of skill to use a gun, let that gun do a lot of damage out of the box. Low skill, low damage guns like the machine gun should be a lot cheaper to give the beginning player a fall-back position. Enemies become far too numerous and frequent far too quickly. Overall, a poor game. 2/5.

And I get the feeling LobsterMobster can't aim to save his life, or he would maybe be slightly ok at this game. But I doubt it.

OMG this game is 100 times better than the first! Which was already in my favourites! Thanks Hero for making this game...well, less one-dimensional. Lovin' the new sound effects...and the new weapons...and the new levels...and that you can now make the annoying little ones crash into bigger things. And tdogg you're right, machine gun sucks, use cannons you noobs!

A definite improvement over the original but it has some balance issues. I found most of the weapons to be useless (still), and beat all campaigns using the double machine gun, a missile launcher, and power upgrades. The speed upgrades on the quick firing guns aren't worth it at all (3 points for around a 5% improvement?), some weapons are so expensive you need to spend just about all your money on them, yet none of them are sufficient alone to beat even a single level, and while it's nice to have some more rapid fire weapons the plasmid guns just aren't anywhere near as good as the double machine gun. I still like the art style and music a lot and this is much less of an "insult" to ask $5 for, but there are still better, larger games on Kongregate for free.

nice game up to a point. having enemies that are shielded to all but the most useless guns makes it annoying.
not annoying in the "i will beat this" way but more like "i will never play this again" way.

Oh yes. Nice, fitting music, good graphics, great gameplay. Interesting enemies and quite a few fascinating weapons. 5/5.

Those missiles make the game way too easy... 3rd stage easily completed with 3 missiles and one dual machine gun (machine guns do incredible damage since they don't get reduced below 1 damage). After stage 3, just fill all your slots with missiles. Incredibly easy.
