you probably never heard about "never take a joke too far". The popups may be ok at first time, surprising at second, but unbearable from third one for sure. Make them as they could actually be fun to see (like in places where you shouldn't expect them). Right now 1/5 for your total lackenss of sense of humour.

Popups are bearably annoying, music good, game in general good, make the popups less frequent and make check points so each time you die you done have to go through as many popups 4/5

At first I thought the game was interesting, then i thought the text screens made it extremely annoying, and then I just could'nt play it anymore once i died like 5 minutes into the game.

I love the new joining 27th september's trolls accounts. Imho a game shoulnd't be a " pop up movie ". Imho it could anyway be a " poop up movie ". But oh well. Troll are trolls and popups are poups. Quick to come, Quick to go, and useless to stay.

idea is funny but popups on each jump gets a bit anoying... when that would happen only on key moments it would be funny maybe

I'm amused at all the people calling the screens "popups". Apparently, there's a lot of children who have no idea what silent films are. However, I'll agree the dialog screens are far too frequent. Funny at first, but they interrupt gameplay.

Ways this game would be more fun:
1. Skip the sound effects for common actions like "jump" and "collect coin" after the player has done a few.
2. If not 1, then make the game shorter -- some quick silliness like "Burn The Rope" is fine.
3. Add some "plot" or "wacky character mood" effects at certain progress points and/or random times.

Yeah, I agree with Scram. The Pop-ups get reeeally annoying after a little while, please take them off. At least make them stop after the first 10 or so, or make them come up a lot less often...Because of that, 4/5.

I'm agreeing with that the pop-ups are annoying, though I love the concept. Truly original and pleasing at first. Maybe if there was a pause after the black screen vanished again, giving you a moment of pre-control before the action resumed? Or if the black of the word-panel was semi-transparent, allowing you to see where you were? Definitely make them get shorter with each repeat. I think there is a sweet spot here, keeping the fun idea, but making it fun to play.

I was expecting to LOVE this, but the silent movie style ended up overshadowing the gameplay to the point where I try to dodge coins and avoid jumping.

christ, stop it talking everytime I jump, maybe reduce times it talks for coin gets. Other than that it was pretty funny, nice music and graphics.

if you never saw the screens that say Ka-twang and take that! it means you never realized you could jump on the bad guys like mario. I'd prefer that this character were given a tommy gun or pistol. Having a range weapon wouldn't be out of balance since the terrain is all over the place. Who knows why a gangster looking guy is fighting 1924 goombas.

This would be an interesting game, but there needs to be some sort of story if you are going to have a style base on old silent movies (and not the mel brooks kind). I have to rate this 3/5, starting with a 5/5 -1 for lack of story, -1 for annoying silent cards for every jump, -1 for making me restart the level from the beginning when I touch anything (give me some lives, 3 is a good number) + 1 for originality. +0 for weird looking clouds that look like flying rocks. they don't bother me, but they don't help either.

I sort of liked it for a little bit...then I realized that because it said something every time you jumped or got a coin, it was extremely annoying. Just make them less often & it would be tons better!

Holy Mother of Jesus. The popups are ridiculous. This is worth a 0/5, but that can't be, so you get a 1/5. +1 for "Coin get!"
But seriously, if this was burnable, it'd be ash.
