The last upgrades are broken, they give you resources instead of taking them away when you purchase them. I mean, at that point it doesn't really matter.

Erm.... so I'm not quite sure what happened... but now I'm not getting any more souls. My 'total power generated' also seems to have reset... I'm not 100% sure, but I think i might have accidentally clicked 'reset' twice in a row just before it happened.

@Melonsquatch : Click "Settings" in the bottom right corner, and then to the left of the screen (where minions and such would be if you weren't in the settings) there will be a button to "Reset". Just above that button, it tells you how many souls you'll get for resetting. Be careful not to click "Hard Reset", though; that one deletes your game.

i am redoing the highscores, and i currently need some information from kongregate, so the highscore system will not work untill i have my information :)

The game has a nice pace to it up to a point, then it takes forever to upgrade and even advance. For me it's when trying to earn sextillions. Personally I don't know if you are working directly on this or there will be secondary upgrades via souls that you keep talking about Hoistmaster that will balance out this slow part of the game, but I thought it would be best for you too know either way before the game is polished off and you think you are done. Better to play it safe as a developer.
If you don't know what I mean exactly it's the spending vs. earning. You spend way too much and it takes forever for you to earn more upgrades even with what you spent to earn more.

The high scores are quite messed up, you might want to change them to something like log10(souls)*1000 and then ask kong to reset them.
i'm in contact with kongregate, to see if i can get the values like in the game. Lets say that you have 100 trillion, in the highscrore it would say "100 Trillion". Hopefully they will be able to do it :)
so far they haven't been much helpfull, I just think it's stupid i have to save such a HUGE number, when it's so easy to change.

Unless I'm missing something there nothing interesting about this game. No animations, nothing. Just a guy standing there with a power meter. There's no point nor reward in playing this game.

register to https://www.heroku.com/ , they have a solid uptime and you get one instance free per project you host ther, and with a simple "tiemstamp" responder a single instance should easily support ~5.000 users per second.... i have no idea how familiar you are with web development so if you need help let me know
i know about web development, that is not the problem, the problem is that the server can only handle so many request, but i will read up on the link you sent. :)

at 6.87 quintillon souls the game starts to slowdown (the ratio of gaining new souls is slow compared to the abusive prices) and I'm sitting at almost 700 titans. with a power generation of 19.23 tredecillon/sec but with things requiring quattrodecillion, quincedecillons etc... I'm at an impase. and can't overcome it by start all over because I only gained 1 extra quintillon souls :3

In that case get the time from an external server which only responds with the timestamp rather than getting the local time.... this way you atleast make it quite more difficult to cheat

So...clone of AdVenture Capitalist (plus and minus a few things). Same basic system of upgrading, achievements and souls (angel investors).

I'm concerned about the ui "upgrade", as it seems that I can't at a glance see what summons I can spawn more of, this is the most important (to me) functionality of the current UI, and one of the things that I really think would hurt the game, if you make it too tedious to see what summons can be purchased.
While I like the idea of a UI that implements those cool pictures, I also wanted to remind you that UI should focus around functionality, and focus on telling the user about the mechanics of the game, and I hope you keep this in mind for the new UI.
Also, the less scroll-bars you use, the better :).

game offline mode doesn't work for at least 12 hours for me. after starting the game i get a timestamp error. I also notice it aleays go back to my manually saved file when i restart,
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
what's the soul harvester setting suppose to do? nothing happens when i click the gems and there is nothing in the scroll and gear shop
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't see why you need to worry about cheaters, just make the offline simple as you can. If they want to ruin their game who cares?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Of course you should not remove the offline mode nor nerf it somehow. Idle game without offline progress make no sense nowadays. Absolutely no point in keeping the browser tab open forever to gain progress. The game should play by itself even offline - that's the point of an "idle game". The player just occasionally checks in, buys some upgrades etc. and closes the tab. No offline progress = no idle game. And don't nerf it. The player should not be ever forced to keep the tab open.

Try checking with the guys that put together Adv Cap, but I'm sure they put in some sort of time stamp save feature... something that prevented people from cheating. Try asking as a fellow programmer? Better than losing everything!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pretty good so far, though achievements and there bonus' should probably carry over between (soft) resets, and either a few tweets in price, income, or soul power, for 1k titans is insane right now, as for offline, fixing it up the best you can should be fine, as i find it a VERY necessary feature for those of us that can't run the game 24/7, my 2 cents on what to do is to fix the clock the best you can and make it a 10% offline income or something, and force a hard reset on us to keep things fair from those that might of used the glitch once you get the offline working just right.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
idk what that offline mode was. but anything offline has to be good. I would think there would be too many cheaters for highscore but have offline mode
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Offline mode is the only way Idle games are playable. Try your best to fix it, but games like Adventure cap and Clicker heroes are 10x better because of offline mode.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Honestly just remove "offline mode" and reset everyone's (souls, etc) so that high scores can be implemented(but not until marketplace is up at least ^_^)
marketplace, puuh that will be a long time, since i'll need to make necromancer 2.0 first (the new design) but don't worry, in a couple of weeks, there should be a shop :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like necromancy in games (especially playing as said necromancer) and I've found i enjoy idle games. But i can't get into this. I need more visuals
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hey everyone, the timestamp (offline mode) again made some bugs, and some people got WAY more power then they should, others kept experiencing an error (80085). Second thing is with it there is a possible chance that people can cheat, so i wanted to hear if you still want that feature in the game? or do you want me to remove the offline mode?
i also wanna implement highscores, but i haven't cause of the offline feature, so yea i will keep looking into this, and i would like the hordes opinion on this :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When I leave the game and come back later it gives me a timestamp error and way more cash than I should have generated in the time I was away.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I got several quadrillion souls, but there is a distinct lack of new upgrades. We need more tiers of upgrades. Maybe double what we have.
