the developer "official" answer is a new update with rebalancing and more boost. Gems are optional and not required in order to play !! Thanks for the feedback and telling us your concerns though :) We would love to hear a lot more feedback from you in order to improve Midas Gold !!

honestly, horrible rate of progression without an autoclicker. As amazing as cookie clicker was its like that, but with shit tons of less upgrades and options to make you feel like your progressing. used a solid auto clicker for a while and honestly, it seems like without it would take 3-5 days to reach raids and the last 2 buying options. this may be the source of "pay to play" complaints.

It's hard to tell which comments are legitimate and which are the spammer, but the people complaining about there being no way to earn Gems without paying are way off base. I've been playing this game for several days and have progressed at a perfectly reasonable speed, especially with the constant tweaking the Devs are doing. I haven't had any reason, nor motivation, to buy any Gems. The premium content is purely for those who are impatient and wish to proceed faster, it's not needed to enjoy the game, unlike some other games I've played.

Good game, but I used an autoclicker going at 10ms and it took a half day of grinding. I got past the clicking stage, only 65,000 diamonds! The idle is far better but still requires you to be active to get fast diamonds, or wait like overnight for a decent haul. Better balancing I think, I like that I am always doing something. I don't like that I accidentally closed the window and my Raid didn't progress while I was away. It should be offline time for Raids as well thanks.

i hope u'll add an autocast option soon to the "idle" champion cus actually the non idle champ can be more useful while being idle using an autoclicker

Balancing is completely messed up, though the basics are well done. If it stays like this I won't keep playing this game. Btw. the IAPs are not only expensive, but also pretty weak and useless. An epic chest costs 200 kreds which is $23.80. Are you serious?

I have serious doubts who this allegedly blackmailing spammer is. As this spammer appeared right at the moment the players vanished as everyone realized this is dead end game without paying. Upgrade raising +1% crit dmg takes 1 hour. Suddenly, last 15 comments, many negative got downvoted to -5. I've switched to Undead clicker, even if it's clone of Idle heroes, but well balanced. Today, I've came to see updates on Midas and all I see is mysterious spamer, dev asking for upvotes and tags and ridiculous pay to play model. I give 80% chance this spammer is some angry pissed kid (we have plenty of those at Kong). But I give 20% chance this is devs false flag. All mess appeared at moment people realized this game is about $$$ and stoped playing. What bugs me most is that you can only create 2 or 3 accounts on 1 IP. This spammer isn’t angry kid but someone tech savvy. Just my 2 cents. I really hoped this owuld be great game but it doesn't come close to holiday idle and it's freemium.
We dont ask you to upvote our comments, but the people comments. Also why would we want our game to have Submarine Tag ? Also 12 hours ago we released a new version that speeded up the game. You are wrong on your assumptions and even kongregate staff logged in the game and confirmed the problem yesterday. They even made 3 false tags to be -999 on votes. We even asked everyone to upvote your comment that is one of the most negative comments in the game. So you are wrong.

I actually have to agree. Although the blackmail-spammer is a, well, spammer, I gotta say, having an inability to get the premium gems without paying is kinda murky waters for me. Either allow people to earn premium currency, or I will retain the 1 star of 5. Not that this is a bad idle game.
there is no way to earn Gems at the moment :) But its not needed. The game is designed to be played for free. If you want to donate for support then and only then you can spend a few $. Its not required though. As for the 1/5 rating, we believe that if you go on and play it a little more you will change your opinion :)

Hey Holyday!
After refreshing for the update, I'm having trouble reading the black text on the slightly-less-black popup box that appears whenever I hover over a building or an upgrade. I can make out the upgrade text with effort, but I'm not actually sure if there's any text in the building boxes.

we didnt downvote anything, there is a spammer who blackmailed that he will do that with many accounts unless we give him 5 bitcoins (1500 USD). We already contacted kongregate and they are investigating the matter. We love the feedback and we update the game constantly with that. Sorry for that weird situation.

got a reward in the bottom right that said "20o3 + 0.5 clicks per second" or something like that. I don't have scientific notations on, just the regular M B T ect. not sure if this was a bug or not.

These stuff are not required to play the game. The game is meant to be played for free and its constantly updated. 3 updates already in 1 week (including beta updates). The store serves as a donation support and not as a requirement to play the game. If you go on playing you will notice that the game is totally free to play.

Really? Firefox and Unity? They suck, I can't even play this game, it won't load, thanks to Firefox. Google Chrome runsmy web gamesfine, but firefox? HECK NO! I remember when I was 9 and used mozilla but now that I use websites and games that are more complicated than disney games I need Chrome.

PAY TO PLAY. Really soon you hit the wall (starts at Qa money and at Qi you have no progress at all). Also, future and gems upgrades takes hours just to process = without paid hurry up, it's nonsense).
Giving 1/5 instead of 5/5.
Indeed, there are still some walls, but we are updating the game like we did today with mechanisms that boost the progress heavily. We intend adding many months of playable content for everyone.

If someone have problem with running game in latest Firefox Nightly, check and set dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash;0 in about:config (dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash = 2 is default in x64 builds). Don't know why flash sandboxing is affect also Unity game, but with this pref >0, request to holydaycity.com don't proceed and game does not start.
