Very fun... unfortunately, unlike Rogue, this was just too short. Just when I started to get a rhythm it was over. That said, Mage is incredibly overpowered. Those poor shmoos that have to get within striking distance of an enemy don't stand a chance compared to the mage that can just pluck away from a distance. I'd also ask for a little more description on what the potions do. The healing is self explanatory, but the rest don't indicate their purpose without trying them out first.

When I pick up items, they aren't received in the storage area. In fact if I already have that type of item equipped then i just don't get the new item at all. When i started with a short sword and picked up a dagger. It was no where to be found in the inventory.

So... this game has real potential, even to be better than Enchanted Cave. It currently is not, however. Needs at least a save and quit button, needs to be FAR less buggy(unresponsive controls, skills not being cast when they are clicked on, etc), I'd prefer a sort of... return point, where you can save a character/keep someone alive outside of the individual dungeon run and grind them up a little(especially with the controls being as dodgy as they are), maybe throw a shop in or something. But still, the game is good, it is just that it could very certainly be great. I'm giving it a slightly grudging 4/5 in the hopes that you continue to update it.

I just commented, but also of note: Sometimes the spells I have up on the side aren't the ones it casts when I activate it - I hit sleep and it casts reveal map. Bug. Also, you could consider floor traps and the like for later levels. Just something for rogues to play with. Just a thought. It might be too much work. The game's lovely as it is.

What can I say. I loved this game, up until the point where 75% of the time, when I use a skill/spell it activates one of my random skills for no reason instead of the one I want to use. Seriously am I the only one to experience this game-breaking bug?

good as a whole but one thing i dont like is it automaticaly equips and deleates items, dont know if all do that or just mine,

Tried using Stone Skin at one point, which I had in hotkey 2, and every time I used it it asked me where I wanted to use freeze. Just thought I would mention this (Also deleted freeze, so I didn't have it while it asked me where to freeze)

Not bad at all; a little work needed on the items as it sometimes swaps your weapon for a worse one; but on the whole a thourghly enjoyable game.

I was enjoying the game quite a bit, then I went to use Bless Weapon, and it told me to pick a monster to cast my Sleep Spell on. Then, almost dead, I tried to cast Heal. It simply gave me +3 attack. Go ahead, vote me down because the game is buggy, but I can only give this game a 3/5 until this gets worked out. I'm sure it'll be a 5/5 when the spells work correctly.

Oh yea, also something to do with the gold, I mean I got 61 gold and have no idea what im suppose to do with it. I went through the entire 1st 5 floors looking for stuff but didn't see a merchant or w/e for me to use the gold.

Got to floor 6, then entered a room just to instantly die from a spell to the face at 3/4 hp, enter the room again just to get 2 spells into the face and die. idk about you guys but I think there should be some balancing in this game along with some more ways to heal besides potions and the heal spell, that is if you can even find the spell.

All i needed to hear to play was:"An arcade-style dungeon-crawler inspired by 1980s classics such as Gauntlet".....
I.Love.Gauntlet.

Beautiful game. Highly reminiscent of what's termed the Roguelikes. Does it have a save? Not a permanent save, but I should be able to 'pause' the game while I'm away and return to it later. Also, if this game doesn't end up with some achievements, I'll be very disappointed.

@Nytemare: i had the same problem, but i´ve solved it.. u have to cast the old spell with the hotkey and after u cast it u have to replace the old one and switch with another spell as usual

I like the idea of the game, it reminds me of that mini-quest that came out a few weeks ago. That said the game needs a bit more of a leveling curve, possibly the ability to select which stats to level up (which also helps you pick some spells?)
Also I found some errors where if you polymorph an enemy and kill them where they stood, their health bar remains there and it remains each level you go down as well.

+ Nice game. If you play slowly and think before moving the dungeon is fun.
- auto selecting weapon and destroying inferior, i want a choice to which weapon i want to wield. Now i am a double headed axe wielding rogue.

So...Many...Bugs...Drinking potions of the lion causes you to loose 3 speed temporarily, and the skill bug...I have three unusable slots now, due to this. Ugh...

Could actually do with keypad controls (and diagonal walking). Whenever I play games like this, I automatically place my hands on the keypad. Wouldn't quite work for people without one, of course.

There seem to be a load of problems with the spell system :
1) Multiple cast at once. 2) Sometime stop to recharge. 3) You switch a spell but the old one stay on the key. This must be solved ! You have a neat game, but you lack of choice in the character developpement that is imho a must in any RPG. Choice of equipement trought a shop and choice of skills or attributes on level up would do the job.

The thief is the "hardest" character? Hah! He's the easiest! Make liberal use of Stealth and you can backstab/instakill almost anything! Fear works well too when they're not cornered, they don't fight back while you pound them.

I had issues with casting one spell and getting another spell effect. To fix this just unequip the spell and re-equip it and it seems to work fine. Other than that great little nostalgic game 5/5.

I have strange bug. When I tried to put skills to inv to take new ones I have "double" skill. I mean I had freeze on 4-th slot and blink on 5th slot. After some changes blink skill disapeared, but when I clicked Freeze to use, my char just blinked and I could get blink spell from freeze slot (freeze was under blink). After another couple tries to get right order I had 5th slot "empty". I use quote becouse there were hidden freeze skill. At least I have Freeze on 4-th slot AND in inventory: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/skillbug.jpg/ . I hope I helped to detect bug.

Is the screen supposed to scroll at all? I actually started behind my character's portrait and lost half my health trying to figure out which character I was.

First it told me that an empty spell space wont take a spell because it has to be empty.
Then, It took a different spell, but not the one I wanted to put in the space
THEN is ate the spell I wanted, and still won't let me place the spell I want to slot, needs a good bit of work. - Spell that wont be spaced - Map Discover Spell, Spell Ate - Polymorph.

OK, if you have Adblocker you need to turn it off, working fine now. Thanks for the quick feedback, love it when a developer pays attention :)
