the idea was good but the execution was extremely lacking.
puzzles were out of place and the "hidden" story elements seemed to exist purely to make the game seem bigger than it really is. What seems like a story of emotion is thrown in the toilet with awful lines like "This puzzle seems different. Ancient. Evil." I just don't see a defining artistic anchor behind this whole game.

To be honest, I never like games that are split into chapters and whatnot... But this, I am dying for number 2. I was just loving it already from the music. It fits it... so incredibly perfectly. And the art, oh the art, it FITS the music. The music FITS the ART. Its just such a perfect game. Can't wait for number 2. (: 5/5

The puzzle were you have to pick the solution from the five choices, the first room with choices, was almost to subtle for me. I had half typed my confusion and embarrassment (since it didnt seem to confuse other posters!) when I went back and stared at the screen, frowning, and then finally noticed the clue after another minute or so. Subtle, devious, but left me well prepared to notice the remaining clues as I moved onwards. Well done!

That was extremely good. I loved it, while the storyline was a bit simple, it ended up becoming all paradoxical at the end, and that makes me hope that Chapter 2 will be great. Hope it comes quick!

great game, nice musics, i think the puzzles are easy compared to other games, what is good because i don't want to pull my hair out when i am playing, i want to have fun, can't wait to play Myosotis: chapter 2, five stars for you.

There are some "clues" that are not entirely helpful. Like the clue "two must make four". For people who are stuck; it's referring to a 2-digit number, NOT the actual number 2 that shows on the screen. The game is too short and the walking speed of the character is too slow. The plot so far is not very interesting. 2/5

Stuck at clock-bunny-cow-eight ball-cat puzzle. I hate puzzles like these because I have no idea what the programmer was thinking. Oh well, on to the next game.

The only thing I didn't like is that I had to click on one thing several times to find the spot that actually works. This makes puzzles much harder than they actually are!

I loved the variety in the puzzles. For some of them, the solution came to me right away, or I stumbled on it quickly, and others took a lot of thought and maybe a little frustration. On the "read between the lines" one, however, I didn't figure out the hint until after I had solved it through experimenting and actually played the game again to figure out what the hint was supposed to be. I still enjoyed it a lot, though.

Interesting game. Nice mood, and the music added to it throughout. I still don't understand what the 2 must make 4 puzzle was, even though I got by it. I was just frustrated, clicking around, and the door opened. An interesting ending; it made me look forward to more.

A very nice, if short, game. The puzzles were interesting but had real logic to them. They could be frustrating if you weren't paying attention but when you really looked it was obvious. The music was great. The graphics simple but interesting. My only problem is that Nick sometimes would move slowly.

Looks promising got stuck in the hotel room and other then seeing the picture of Lily and the lead character, I can't figure out what to do next, nothing that intuitively comes to me does anything. with music, ambiance, and style I can give a 3/5. would be higher but due to getting stuck in what appears to be the early part of the game it detracts from what might have been a highly enjoyable game play experience.

Mind = Blown. Very intense game and amazing music. If there's no part two there may be an active riot not just an impending one. (-;

I liked it. Nice laid back game, decent music, puzzles start out wtf then end up, Oh duh! Movement and actions could use some tweaking though. Rick moves a tad bit slow. The read between the lines puzzle was a little irritating cause he moves to the other side of the room when you click read again and the button in 2 must make 4 was hard to get to since rick would stand right in front of it. Hope chapter 2 is a little longer, good day. :)

That was fantastic. Felt a little short but I really enjoyed the puzzles. Loved the visuals and the story, as well. My only actual complaint is the text on the bottom of the screen. It just moved too slowly for my tastes.
I will definitely be tweaking that for Chapter 2. Either some kind of slider to control the speed, or a button to press that will skip it from being typed out all together.
Thanks! I confess, this was a personal project to me. I had some emotions I wanted to deal with myself, and a game seemed like the perfect way to do it. I'm thrilled that so many other people have enjoyed it though

Just finished Myosotis Chapter 1 and, as usual, Impending Riot does not disappoint!! The game is deceptively simple and the puzzles were just hard enough without being frustratingly difficult. The music was excellent -- a great complement to the game. For instance, in the "remain calm" room the music really ramps up and to spite myself I felt a little stressed b/c of it. In usual Impending Riot style the story (which is as usual a very skewed take of some subversive reality) takes the front seat and the game is like beautiful dressing for that story. All I can say is, "great job" and I cant wait to play chapter 2!
Wow, thanks so much for the kind words I really appreciate it. I'm glad you appreciate the music as much as I do. It's so important for me to find musicians that inspire me. I didn't even know that the song in the "remain calm" room was going to be there until I heard it and just had to put it in. Thankfully the musician let me! :)
