So, uh, i decided I didn't like this new mechanic business so I just bought enough star cores to make the board stop moving on me...

Omg I swear when I click to deactivate the Human Warp Gate the woman says "His job is ovulating" :D Cool game and board concept nevertheless!

This game combines turn based tactics with an ingenious concept. The mutating field is the core of the game of course, but the control of key areas (around the crystals which allows you to churn out more units) forces players to make strategic choices. I'd like to see a sequel with more units and more races.

I love this game, but the only thing that bugs the crap out of me is the dialogue for the ships. Repetitive. But the game overall is new and interesting. The mechanic can be a great disadvantage or advantage with a defense satellite.

After completing all campaigns i can say it has been a blast (literally)! Here is my review:
Some ships are useless or cost too much to be relevant once u get to the capital ships which are all useful and worth farming energy for. The AI is very poor. It's priorities are only set on attacking the player's warp gate and units along the way. It has no concern for economy and so it loses every time. I suggest making it prioritize on farming at least 2 energy crystals before attempting to attack the player's gate. I defeated the AI just by having a better economy and thus better ships.
This game is so unique and good that you should consider making a sequel with multiplayer. With larger levels, more ship types, asteroids with different properties and a clever reward system. It would become viral in days and would bring you thousands of players! Multiplayer is the way of the future! :) GG!

All i have to say is "Jugernaut reporting!" There is nothing like a Juggernaut obliterating most enemy ships in one shot of the particle accelerator gun. I love hex grid strategy games and this is one of the best i have ever seen. GG! Also, a piece of advice for firefox users: you can enlarge the page with the ctrl+mousewheel up so you can see the game better. "Fire!"

Great game, and in need of a refresh! Larger battlefields, variations in the units, and a larger inteface for us peoples goin blind. from gaming.

@RedDoldandGreen: The manner in which the field rotates was explained during the beginning of the game. Every ring of tiles rotates once per turn in a clockwise manner. Since the inside has less tiles, it turns faster, and the outside slower. It moves in that same manner every turn of every game unless a starcore (sodinar ship) happens to be in play, then that ring of tiles will no longer rotate. Takes some getting used to, but it's pretty simple.

Love the rotating field. It's challenging in that people who are used to a normal strategy field can be caught unprepared by the enemy yet the same people can also take advantage of it. It's like a naval battle where the sea currents (and wind) are less erratic, since the rotation is easy to understand. The only problem i had in the game is it "froze" in one of my missions, where i can click on the links but can't interact with ships, turn end, gateway and quit button.

I'm going to disagree with Helk - the rotating field is incredibly frustrating. There's nothing intuitive about it, and it's difficult to understand how things will move. I quit by the 3rd stage. Maybe if you had a preview of how the field will move before you clicked, or highlighted it somehow so we could see how it would move, then it _might_ work, but it still seems unnecessary.

Strange, I experienced the problem with the ship menu too. The only things I am able to do is finish the turn and the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Jzyehoshua: I don't know what game you've been playing but it works fine for me(if not excellent). And the ship menu appears on the top left btw. If the game is running slow, then update your ram(pc) or get a good antivirus. And since you haven't mentioned the "major bugs" your comment isn't really telling anything about what you found.

I got hooked on this game on another site (armorgames I think). The story is great, and the rotating field very innovative. How does Kongregate not have badges for this?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Am I the only one that thinks this is Game of the Month quality? This is phenomenal game play and i am very impressed! Plus if you think that I am right and also that if needs badges!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very glitchy, it keeps the ship menu in top right so you can't see the game text and also glitches so you can't make more ships at times. Some major bugs still to be worked out.

If you ever do make a sequel (and you should) could you please make it easier to distinguish which hexes are part of which orbits? Knowing that sort o f thing is crucial to planning but it gets really difficult to tell on larger maps.

Battlefield control FTW. On the last fight, I got their gate and most powerful ship stuck on the outer rotation when (thanks to my ships) neither of the outer two rings could rotate. Because of where they were, their most powerful ship couldn't do anything of significance, and they couldn't summon anything that wasn't stuck behind purple rocks. They only had one other ship, a drone, so I just sat there and took out their base. 5/5 - exceedingly awesome strategy game that I would love to see more of in the future.

Imagine if the intelligence behind a devastating allien invasion was actually celebrating with "weeee"s and "yay"s. My god...

the rotating field is really nice, and i enjoyed it quite much. the only thing that disturbed was the plain dumb cpu :-/ somewhen i got lost in circle rotation when i used 3-4 starcores :P but still: spu is no match at all
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
one great idea to expand the game is put moons in with the planet basicly undestroyable asteroids cause other wise its too easy to just destroy all asteroids then use long range ships to destroy the enemy
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good idea. But I cannot concentrate on predicting how the field will change for my next turn. Could you paint the circles in different colors, so they are easier to recognize?
On the other hand... I played until level 7 Human and Sodinar winning all without much thinking. Maybe the AI sucks?
So, my advice is: help the player in planning the future (sorry, no idea how) and enhance the AI. Else: gfx and sfx are great work!
