Argh... lv19 and I got squished by a blue thing cuz I happened to be on that side of the screen. 3/5 for a flashy Space Invaders remake.

Disable speed boost in later levels yo, not fun dying on level 19's rollers just because you suddenly zoom to the side. Also gives you less control when trying to dodge the damn shots. Good game though, 4/5

When I think about it, the player is the aggressor here. They don't even try to fight back till fairly late in the game. So yeah, if you win you annihilate a species. Just makes me feel like a bad guy.

The learning curve could be a little steeper. I found myself getting bored waiting for the levels to get more difficult. Oh, and I'm using Chrome. It works fine.

@super0anoniem: half of the games on kong don't work on chrome lately, you shouldn't rate it down because of that. sukkel

The only thing i dislike about this game is in the later levels getting a speed boost and getting sped to the edge just as a roller comes. so 4.9/5

I think you should warn the player of new enemies, at least of those who can kill you. I made it to Tier 19 in my first try and I was standing in the right corner when suddenly this rolling shape squished me.

This game gives you all eternity to line up your shot and you complain about difficulty? If you don't like the rollers strafe for ammo in the middle and wait for the enemy to go right above you. Ash would be dissapointed.

THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! I reached 19th tier and I go next to a wall and that freaking ball thing crushed me!? I didn't even know there was such a thing! Now I have to start all over again!!!

When you get to the tier with the green spikes just run along the bottom until they group together. Shoot them and it is always at least a double kill, it helps you gain ammo very quickly and move through the tiers with ease.

I found this to be easy, but loads of cathartic fun. The later levels are great, with shots ricocheting around that helped me rack up 4, 5... and once 6 kills with one shot; even a modicum of aiming seems to net you double kills with practically every shot at that point and it just feels grand. The only improvement I would add is mentioning the effects of being hit by bullets/shapes when you start the game. They're mentioned in the text, but in-game descriptions only make sense for such an otherwise sparse game.

made it all the way to lvl 20 scoring 175% and above on every single lvl... then i went to the edge of the screen to grab a pick up and got steam rolled out of nowhere! i mean wtf!

Interesting, the shape and the color are hints to the nature of the enemy units. For instance, red shapes will attack you while yellow shapes have shields. Crescent shapes fly strait down and then turn left or right, squares go across the screen in a strait line, and the spiky edged things like to home in on you.
