The game should reward difficulty spikes with an increased chance to find fresh soldier, energy potions to perform your skills again, and/ or at least some health packs. I mean, come on, a helicopter, two bunkers, an enemy barracks and that huge tank that sets half the field aflame are survivable, but if you only get two riflemen before the next two tanks, a new barracks and three bunkers that shoot diagonally, you are doomed to die...

A great game just like the first one. I was expecting more from it this is more like a BC 1.5 than a BC 2. However all of the improvements were solid. Nice guns, nice troops and upgrades, perks was a good idea, boss is hard. Could have been better but was still a ton of fun. 4/5

Enemy Soldier 1: How is their commander not dead yet
Enemy Soldier 2: You think he would learn not to come straight into oncoming fire by now...

I consider this Battalion Commander 1.45 because it didn't really improve but instead altered game-play sightly. Still fun though.

@myself: Someone mentioned "red missions" and it does look reasonable. There are 16 red missions, shown first on the missions page, and then the rest under them are green missions. And I have 8 of the 16 red missions done. So do the red missions and you'll get a perk for each one - got it.

Where do the perks come from? sotlat mentions armor, which I have, but I don't have the others (MRE, Salvation, Fireproof spray.) I have 8 of the 16 slots, but there wasn't any indication that I had earned them; they just showed up occasionally.

This is one of those games where lag is your strongest enemy. 3/5 because I moderately enjoyed it, but a laggy bullet hell game where you don't need to and aren't able to avoid the bullets probably doesn't deserve that.

Perks needed for final achievement/badge: M.R.E. Pack, Fireproof Spray, Armor, Salvation. This is not the only combination, I'm sure, but it got me to 3500 meters. If it worked for me, it will work for just about anyone else. Everything else can be completed with enough grinding.

Two problems; 1. Despite the fact that it is meters ran, if you move up or down it goes at the same rate, to fix this you could do time survived instead, 2. The flamethrower unit is the upgraded grenadier so it still says grenadier instead of flamethrower soldier

That 700 meters in APC mission is really frustrating. It counts on you having good luck with spawns. Had a wall of buildings at 650 once that you just cant avoid. Still not sure about why some missions are red. Im assuming the red ones unlock perks?

Fireproof Spray should be eliminated. Once you get it, you become immune to almost all of the stuff that would normally kill you. Trivializes the game.

Getting an M.R.E. pack, armor and fireproof spray virtually makes your whole squad but your leader invincible don't know if that is a bug or what

@acey, click the weapon before you start a run and you select which of your unlocked weapons you want to use. The only thing you can't seem to undo is the ally upgrades (automatically starting with a fireteam and the upgrades to their weapons like the flamethrower)

Good game, but too bad they did nothing with the tips given in the first game. It's basically the same game as number one, but then with even less healthpacks...

What the heck? I can't get the double pistol achievement now that I upgraded. That's kinda B.S. if you don't give an option to revert. Why make an achievement you can't get like that? I like the game, but that seems kinda assinine. =T

Why can't I setup my squad or at least give it *some* parameters? If you unlock rifleman and grenadiers to help you early game you'll have a much harder time late game, can't un-unlock those, you're now reliant on the rng and your skill at dodging "powerups" to get a squad that you like...
This is probably the main gripe that people had with the first one and for the life of me I can't understand why the sequel doesn't have at least some basic form of squad management - like un-un-locking classes you don't want. Everything else is just slight improvements or additions to the gameplay; and while that is nice it doesn't add much and leaves the biggest issue unadressed.

All the people whining about how units are useless or other things make laugh haha the game is so easy. How can you not beat it? hahaha

None of the problems from the first game have been fixed. Riflemen and grenadiers are still useless wastes of space and a mistake to unlock. In the case of riflemen, they're a mistake you can't avoid. There needs to be a way to collapse your squad and present a smaller target. When the screen fills up with bullets, it's either save your leader or save your allies. Obviously if the leader dies that's game over, but if the allies die your firepower drops and that's essentially a death sentence too. Once you've got enough upgrades and perks, you can just plow through everything and not care about the hits you take, but that doesn't feel like a satisfying way to play a shoot 'em up. The fire rate on some of the leader's weapons could probably stand to be turned up. Unless they're meant to be ineffective, in which case good job.
