End boss is ridiculously hard, no point in even trying. I'm as leveled up as I can get and still the end sub just wrecks me with the flamethrowers.

It needs some balancing between progression and available missions, so it's not soooo grindy. Maybe make it so that missions completed in the run can be replaced by new ones without the need to start another run. This could be very useful in endless mode. There is no incentive to complete all missions after the boss has been defeated.

This might as well have been a minor patch to the first game. Take some pride in your work: fix the issues that existed in the first game and add some actual content before calling it a sequel.

Okay, real talk? Having all these missions to kill enemies with exploding barrels but giving those barrels a half-pixel-large explosion radius is not cool.

Two things really bug me about this game:
1. You can't disable an upgrade if you want to (for example, I prefer the Grenadier to the Flamethrower, but once you buy the Flamethrower, you're stuck with it for the rest of the game, or disabling allies if you want better ones, like disabling all but Rocketeers).
2. Missions. As others have stated previously, the mission setup is a little awkward, and that's putting it lightly. Also, SEARCH towers and enemy Barracks don't count towards the Tower/Bunker mission and HELICOPTERS don't count towards the VEHICLE mission for some really strange reason.

A tip to my fellow glass cannons: defense is your best offense in this game. If you're like me you probably set all your perks to explosives to kill everything before it can hit you, but that won't work. Nano Bots, M.R.E. Pack, and Armor will have you eating bullets like candy, and you still have about the same damage output.

@Dacomb - He fixed that somewhat. It only applies to members that you would pick up, so you can start with one of each squad member, which actually makes it a lot easier.

I'd love to play the game from the other side. Like, preparing a defense line (Mud and Blood anyone?) against these murderous superhuman soldiers :P

Achievement 46: Run 1500 Meters Without Teaming Up With Allies In One Game. - It's a good thing I didn't purchase the upgrades to start the game with squad members.
Aside from the fact that the achievement is annoying it really shouldn't be at the end of the game when most people have purchased that upgrade.
The original game had the same issue. Did you not read all the comments from the last game?

"Whatever you do make sure those P.O.W.s are fully armed when you lock them up in their stick cells and by rules of war if the enemies party is full let them walk away harmlessly with their weapons because they'll never join a full group. "

Just did 3000m on Endless Mode before I got bored. My tip is to make sure you have all the upgrades first. Perks I used were: Armor, Nano Bots, MRE Pack and Fireproof Spray. Used Air Support (although I suspect this may not matter too much) and Missile Launcher. Try to recruit Rocketeers and Marksmen only. I found that my recruits were nigh impossible to kill, and you really have to concentrate on avoiding the Instant Kill things (like running into buildings). Hope this helps someone!

The mission-system is still pretty messed up. Its just no fun if you get a mission "run 1000m without perks in one mission" and right after that "run 1000m in one game", which also gives a higher reward.
I'd wish you would make those more challenging or time-consuming missions to achievements...

honestly it is a good game but just doesn't feel like a sequal. the layout is almost identical, the main areas that needed improvements from the first are still missing. this came out way to soon and has deminished the value of the series. it'll be hard to redeem it.

A very simple improvement which would significantly improve the game: either let the player shoot behind themselves, or /don't/ let the enemies do it.

Dev to player: "Congrats on avoiding the enemy and getting behind them. Oh, didn't I tell you THEY can shoot backwards - you cannot. Thanks for playing."

Dev to player: "Oh .. I'm sorry. Were you trying to hit the guy RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. You missed - by a pixel. He didn't - you died. Thanks for playing."

The first game felt more forgiven, with the leader position being taken over by allies if he died.. or am I just remembering wrong < its just annoying that the leader dies and rest of the soldiers are still at full health and then its end game <

TIP FOR THE HARD BADGE
"Hit The Ground Running" :
- Become Colonel :)
- Weapons : Missile Launcher and Airstrike. Best way to destroy everything we're you're doomed with buildings + enemy airstrike + enemy helicopter.
- Upgrades : Unlock all.
- Perks : Energy Shield, Fireproof Spray, Salvation, M.R.E. Pack. This makes you really tanky when it's crowded and heals you half life for each airstrike !
- Team : Take Marksmen and Rocketeers for huge damages and a good fire rate. Riflemen and Grenadiers are useless in this mode.
Good luck to reach 7,000 ;)

There's rockets and explosion everywhere, soldiers running everywhere, guys killing each otter whith army, with car,Rockets, and even with Air Strike...And the Watch tower still the only ones who didn't notice.

This was made in too much of a hurry, even the final boss has like 15% more hp than his health bar shows.
Step it up, the devil is in the details.

"Endless mode 1750 in one game - Completed!" 1850m run so far. I can do this! 1859m - Mission Failed from running into a building. FUUUUUUU! Anyway, the way I did it was to ruthlessly kill off all "useless" soldiers, especially the lag-tastic grenadiers/flamethrowers. Retain only Snipers and Rocketeers. They both do massive damage, and Rocketeers fire homing missiles. Time to try again!

I like the perk system, some of the new upgrades, and some of the new enemies (as well as the napalm grenadiers), but the increased difficulty and larger need to grind for gold make this harder to enjoy. I don't really start to fully enjoy the game until I've got half the upgrades. But even once I start to make some headway, the insane submarine battle stresses me x_x The boss battle from the first was better balanced, and all this xp on the ground needs to turn into extra gold once you hit max level.

"Here," says the Commander "is 20 tons of TNT. Now take this flame thrower and guard it with your life we expect a guy and possibly more. He could call in an airstrike or any other hidden attacks from out of his pants. You have my permission to look behind you if he gat's past you...oh and don't move from this spot" Ponits between two crates of explosives.

Hints (Perks)
First off: Fireproof spray is GOD. the biggest threat to your team - fire - is gone.
Also the Boss becomes much easier with this. Note that if a bomb of the boss hits the leader, hes dead, with or without fireproof.
Other than that: Builds (assuming you have all perks): -
Defensive: Fireproof, +100% Lifepoints, Salvation (best used with most expensive special), Armor -
Your people won't die easily and take a huge ton of abuse. - - -
Offensive: Fireproof, Splinter, Grenades, Napalm -
Fun build. I guess if you would lose the fireproof (which i don't suggest) you could get yourself some bullet strength instead) - - -
Speed Build (only if you're skillful it works): Boots, APC, Nano, Fireproof. -
If you loose fireproof, get salvation. This build is meant for dodging, mainly because in endless the enemies and buildings get stronger, even to a point where you just can't destroy most of them. - - -
One could probably make a speed/defense build, but I'm lazy now^^

Questions
Why isn't this game called "Battalion Commander 1.5", since that's what it is. It is the same game with some enhancements and a different boss, nothing really new about it.
Why does a Soldier commit suicide, when your team is full? Instead you could have him run behind you and maybe even give a bonus to money/exp if he survives (make him vulnerable), would kill the grind-factor.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I greatly disagree with the fact that enemies that come out of the surprise attacks have a less-than-one-second-invulnerability-but-still-manages-to-foil-your-shot-and-get-hit-3-times buff. Still a good game though, needs to patch up on previous issues from the first game. 4/5.
