How about making it so that you can enable/disable upgrades, like the car, the grenadier, etc. even after you have bought them. That way you could create your squad out of marksmen and AA specialists. First Aid Kit doesn't seem to work when the car has been bought.

This entire game feels like it was barely tested. Example: When you get to the fort and use your special too soon it does nothing. How is the player (me) supposed to know that?

Everything not a marksman or AA Specialist is nothing but a detriment to your squad. This means 4 of the "upgrades" actually hurt you. The last squad skill does nothing but drop you in the middle of a swarm of enemies. AA specialists don't actually do anything special against air, which means their name makes zero sense. This game is labelled "bullet hell" but is nothing like a bullet hell game. The controls are floaty, the squad is nearly impossible to dodge anything with, and the game freezes for half a second every time a plane appears on the screen. You have zero chance of recovering from losing your squad no matter how good you are.

Giving players the ability to enable/disable upgrades they've purchased would be an easy way to add some strategy to this game. Aside from the benefit of being able to limit to your favorite units, "Keep the leader from taking damage for 90 seconds" becomes harder with Fast Start getting you deep into hostile territory within ~20secs.

I'd really like to see the Current Missions have a use beyond just pumping up your upgrades at the beginning of the game. Pretty quickly they become just fodder for worthless gold and stars. Maybe if every certain amount of missions would buff you or your allies?

Is there a way to turn off/remove certain units that you find in the cages? As much as I appreciate the grenaders... Grenades... I found the unit pratcly worthless once I bought the 10th round nade for the rifleman and now I just want the Grenaders gone.

Homing Missile Logic: "Man this helicopter is really f****** things up. But I better take out that suspicious crate over there just to be safe."

This game reminds me of a RPG game I used to play almost the same like this one but a little different. Besides this game is much more fun. :)

Gotta love it when the enemy does the "whole screen covered by airstrike plus cars" attack. I have yet to get through it without losing pretty much every ally I have.

Some thoughts:
The car does become valuable after a little while, in that you can have a full healthy team assembled when your car blows up. There's a sentence you don't see every day.
Don't buy the grenaders. Later, you won't want them on your team. 3000 yards is a long walk walk with those soft tossing losers on team. They take up valuable AA, marksmen and auto-dude space.
Don't buy the first gun upgrade until you have the stabin' mission complete. Once you have all the guns, ye can't go back to ol' stabby.
Fun.

When a teammate is killed- HE DID NOT KILL HIM!!! HE DESTROYED HIM! - because there are no remains of the fallen piece of warrior

The framerate drops miserably when driving the car, making that badge very difficult to achieve. Also, getting the car power-up is a detriment, not an advantage.

I'd love to have the ability to plan the squad I'd like to have: both the types of soldiers and their positions within the team. (I'd like 2 grenadiers on either side of me, then 3 AA on each side, then automatic riflemen, then..). As I encounter soldiers, they get in line relative to the preferred positions. Once the team is full, new soldiers can replace those you don't want (regular rifleman anyone?) until you have the team you programmed. I'd also love a brake on the car!

Most of the time, death is caused by suicide. 2 Area Strikes one way, an impenetrable wall of enemies and enemy fire on the other. Or just three Area Strikes which are damn-near impossible to dogde.

there should be a 2nd part! More lvls and much more upgrades. The achievements are a nice idea but uve finished the game when uve got about 20 of them. Maybe ur maxed out at 30-40 but all the money and xp is worthless because u cant spend it! It would be great if there would be +%dmg or fireing rate upgrades to buy to spend the money

Picking random units and making them loose part of their health is a terrible game mechanic for increasing difficulty in endless mode.

was fun up until 1300m or so with the v of apcs and three bomb runs where you can get out with maybe 2 crew members if you're lucky. why have this happen? it happens every single time, so i know i'm not just getting screwed by the rng.

16 homing missiles : yes by all means ignore the massive attack helicopter in the middle of the screen and go after the far more threatening crate in the corner.

Slows down so much on the whole-screen airstrike it's unavoidable. Not bothering with the endless mode badge because of this. Done.

Word of advice: don't get grenadier. Makes things harder at start, but pays out in the end. Maybe skip auto gunner too...

I've changed my mind. Having played through it again and only unlocking rocket soldiers, the team sucks as all the rockets follow the same target, even if that is a box. I agree with DeathmanElf; sniper and rocket is the best combination. Top game!

The hard badge isn't really hard at all. Once you get the last three upgrades and the 2nd skill, your team is invincible for the most part. The skill recharges fast, which heals your party constantly. And once you learn the patterns of the waves, it gets really easy to maneuver yourself into a safe position.

Fun game but the power ups seem to be poorly mixed. The final special power seemed fairly useless and I felt penalized later in the game for taking the weaker soldiers earlier in the game because I couldn't have just strong guys in my party. There are also far too many Missions. I only completed around 30 of them by the time I beat everything. With nothing left to unlock there isn't any reason for me to bother with the remaining missions.

I'm sorry but.... triple air strike+vehicle charge right before the boss? I'd like to see anyone dodge that and maintain the team...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Seems very luck based to me. My point: encounter with simultaneous air strike and machine charge is a team wipe. There is no efficient way to counter it. This encounter happen twice per game or not happen at all. I got very unlucky had this encounter with a helicopter.

There is a stupid bug that occurs after getting out of the jeep start. The sounds turn off even though they say they are still on.

On leader skills I only found first one to be usefull. Napalm is powerful but if you don't have full team it lacks alot in area effect and Heroic dash forces me into middle of enemies as in that speed I can shoot everyone.

Is it just me, or does the car do more harm than good. In my experience with it, the only upside is to get you down the field of battle faster, other than that the bad seems to outweigh the good. For example, you're passing valuable money far too fast, it can too easily land you just before a cluster of enemies with no skill ready... so if your invulnerably runs out by then you're SOL, and its just not as fun as controlling the squad.
Here are some of my ideas to improve the usefulness and fun of the car. 1. Car needs its own upgrades, I.E, Armor (so it lasts longer), Perhaps a mounted gunner as well and such things as that. 2. While the car is in use, ramps should randomly spawn on the battlefield... allowing the car to "Jump" over obstacles instead of ramming into them and taking damage... if the player is quick enough to get on the ramps. Lastly, please please please, for the love of Kongregate... allow the skill to charge while the car is active.
