TIPS FOR ENDGAME: 1: Triple Bomb Runs / Car Arrow tend to be the biggest killer. always hide LEFT in bomb runs, this gives you more time to dodge back into the middle. Future Armor will allow your troops to take a bomb hit or two without dying. The Heroic Dash skill will completely neutralize this wave as well. 2: DO NOT BUY GRENADIERS. grenadiers have a fire rate that makes them worthless. AA specialists and Marksman with an upgraded Rocket Launcher are the ideal. DO get the Grenadier Fireteam, free body in the early stages is preferred. 3: Helicopters are your greatest Nightmare. if they give you trouble, try using the Flame Wave skill to nuke them out of the sky. DONT bother using airstrikes, they are the only foe in the game that is immune to airstrike damage (at least it seems that way.) 4: Missile spammers need to sit in the back as much as possible, this allows more missiles to be on the sceen at once, which means more tracking missiles when an enemy gets on screen.

Don't bother attempting Endless Mode until you've got the Future Armor upgrade. Without it, you'll die swiftly; with it, it becomes a cakewalk.

I think i've found a bug, due to firefox issues, i've been forced to clear my cache several times and been force to restart the game over, but every time i bought the jeep, the ingame sounds cut off and all i get is music, no explosions, gunfire or any in game sound effects. I'm going to repeat this, and see if it is a bug.

My sound tends to switch off. After a few seconds I only hear the music, but none of the screams and explosions. Is this a "battle hardened" extra skill?

You could at least have fixed the audio issues. Bit annoying having to mute and unmute every couple minutes when I want to hear all the sound effects instead of only a few.

The rocket launcher is pretty terrible in my opinion. The homing missiles always tend to home in on the least important target (a stray gunman), instead of on the big friggin' tank right in front of my nose!

Grenaders are so bad, I regret getting them and I'd wish they can be turned off so we can't recruit them during the game.

corners are good for avoiding bullets because teammates will attempt to stack up rather than try their best to spread out like a fan. thumbs up so I can see.

I think it would be nice to have the ability to dismiss soldiers when the squad is full. This would give you the opportunity to customize your squad according to your needs/wishes/gameplay :D

Pro Tip on Gold and Exp Farming: Focus spending gold on the top row of upgrades. Use extras on the third row for "Battle Experience". Once you reach second lieutenant, buy "Fast Start". This will help you earn gold and exp really quick. Crash as much wooden barriers and enemy soldiers as you can with the jeep. Once your jeep is destroyed, suicide as fast as you can.

PLEEEEAAASSSEEE add the option of turning off upgrades...several of the "upgraded" troops are aweful and shouldn't be cluttering up the cages if we so choose.

I feel like this game would be greatly improved by giving the player the ability to close ranks: holding down a button causes the squad to huddle together as closely as possible to better avoid incoming fire, at the cost of reduced movement speed and only the squad leader shooting. This could allow the player the option of playing more conservatively, instead of treating the squad members as expendable fodder. Otherwise, the game really has potential.

In reference to dropping upgrades: There is no option to wipe the slate clean and start a NEW game either. I'd be willing to start clean because the game is pretty quick. I don't want to delete cookies for Kongregate & lose progress on ALL my games. This game needs lots of little tweaks to make it better.

I wish I could unbuy Grenadiers. Their low rate of fire and even lower range makes them utterly useless. If I move up close enough and wait long enough for them to shoot, and then wait further still for their slow projectile(that often misses the mark) chances are most of my soldiers get slaughtered. If I hang back enough to evade incoming fire, by Grenadiers just blow craters in the dirt a few inches in front of me as the resy of my troops mow everything down before it ever gets into grenade range.

Two things: ability to turn off old skills. I had to restart the game and wait til the end to select ONLY the AA guns instead of all the others. Second thing, ability to bring all of your men in. The only reason anyone ever died was because they stood thirty feet away from my center.

Not bad, but like I've seen in posts before, could use some improvement. Needs: Ability to add/remove upgrades like you can change commander weapons and abilities. Ability to move your troops closer together in order to avoid the enemies attack. Ability to pick what type of targets the missiles hit, but it should never hit boxes unless there are no enemies within range. That's the big thing for me. IF my lead guy is gunna shoot rockets, I sure as heck don't want him wasting them on boxes when there's 2 towers, 3 jeeps, and 15 guys shooting at me and the rockets choose to go after the boxes instead. Ability for soldiers that cannot be added to the party go shooting off the map so it makes them somewhat useful. + This if you agree!

Likeable game & fun to play. Upgrades are reasonably priced; a big plus! Downsides are bad lag & lost audio; I'm told "Mission Failed" every time I die, but yet the "Tactics Room" screen I'm told 15/100 missions complete. When did I complete missions? The car causes serious lag & isn't much of a plus. It would be great to drop it. 3/5.

Nice game. I'd suggest the following: 1. Ability to change leader's weapon during a run. 2. Homing rockets that selectively target the strongest enemy. (My leader: "I know we're up against 3 marksmen, 3 towers, a tank, and 13 riflemen, but BY GOLLY I'm gonna get rid of these crates first!") 3. I second the multiple formations. Would love a straight line to maximize napalm and a tight formation to avoid fire and airstrikes.

Also, to reiterate something that was already said (and possibly said many times)... HEROIC RUSH IS TERRIBLE. Just REMOVE the "RUSH" part *OR* make it so, while you're "rushing forward" new enemies don't spawn. It is beyond-ridiculous that this ability--which is supposed to get you out of a bad situation--literally just plops you down into the middle of a WORSE situation. It honestly makes me wonder if things like this were even tested, before publishing the game. It's so blatantly counter-productive that it's a blemish on an otherwise fantastic experience.

Great game! A few critiques: The end boss(es) leave a lot to be desired. Even if this is a more "casual" shooter/scroller, the ending leaves you wondering "really, that's it?" (and not in a good way). Similarly, Survival is boring, with Kong's Hard badge (reach 3k distance) feeling more like a chore than an accomplishment. Ramping up the difficulty--and maybe changing the color of enemies, to signify they're now tougher--would go a long way towards making things interesting. Finally, PLEASE ADD SOME SORT OF WAY TO ABANDON SOLDIERS YOU DON'T WANT (click on their picture?). If I have too many rockets, for example, having to purposely try and kill them off, to get other soldiers is, frankly, kind of dumb. Overall a great game, though!

fyi the hard badge is a little bugged because in "endless" mode the map does have an end and it ends at about 1.5k meters so basically the endless map is not so endless and once you reach the end even if your alive is still says mission compleate and teleports you out of the map and the 3k for the badge has to be done in ONE run.

heroic dash is so useless! whenever you dash, you go so fast you can't defeat all the enemies and you basically rush into enemy territory and get surrounded and as soon as the invincibility wears off you die!

So these soldiers can strafe sideways from one side to the other in almost a blink of an eye, but they can't move forward faster than a meter per second? Tediously slow, that's all i can say.

so, if you're going to make a sequel (fingers crossed!) an idea i have is that maybe you unlock certain levels of upgrades by number of missions completed ... this is fun, but i have all the upgrades and still have all these missions to complete. thanks for the game

we need a way to choose who's in our team. i hate everyone but the snipers. theyre all basically crap save for snipers, and sometimes aa specs

Okay! It is far more likely someone went 1m on foot than *70k in a car. You can't do it in normal because you'd have to fight the boss building then it's done and since the car I don't think picks up health or has a weapon it can't make it through many car walls. So WTF!

Itd be nice to have some control of what goes into your squad. Like a priority system, where say you have a full squad and get a Sniper or something you want, it will kick out a Rifleman and give you the Sniper. Or maybe a way to configure your preferred group - say 2 Riflemen, 4 Snipers, 3 Grenaders, etc. - and the game will kick out unwanted soldiers and try to make the group you wanted. I know this style of game has a certain RNG element to it, but being stuck with crappy soldiers while you let good ones walk is just dumb.

Why is it when you try and line up enemy snipers with one of your men they miss but they manage to hit any other time? Use The carpet bombing right before the wall of cars and bombings so you don't miss the cars in front of you and die when you hit it.
