I started about a week ago, and it's a very good text based game, best I've seen in years. The one thing I have against it is the map. It could help distinguish where you were going a little bit better with symbols on the spaces or something

I will make no pretext, this is a text-based adventure beyond your wildest expectations! From textual textiles to tests of tactical teamwork, may you triumph over tremendous odds! Much more than the next game, this text game is one of the best names out there. Perhaps you chanced by this game on a random happenstance, but you might become entranced by this enchanting game!

@ivo111,
your partly right, a game with graphics is better for the realism, like a second life, althought the indept gameplay itself is much more complicated(and fun) for many people.
@Dude317,
please dude, relax, sterilised? your the new adolf hitler? anyway, i get your point.
@ Unholy strenght
its a role playing game, so you play a role, like a second life, and you cant "win" in life, can you? you can be succesful though

Just about that 'no RPG is good without grapics'.. have you never read a fantasy book? Are they all bad because they do not support 'graphics'?
Imagination owns your graphics, dude.

Ok, this is a good game, but it isn't an RPG.
RPG's are supposed to be like 'a second life' but then in some sort of mythic world.
In real life you dont have text caps...
Graphics are much more real and give way more fun to the game. There is no way to a good gameplay without graphics, even if it are very bad graphics.
No complaining, this game is good, a game with graphics is just much better.
PS: NO FAG REPLIES ON MY COMMENT

I really like this game. Don't see why people are hating on it so much. it's very detailed and has a sparkling story and a great environment.
5/5

this... THIS is an RPG in its real skin. No overblown graphics make the game more imagination than time-killing... those of you that say this sucks, go play your hyped-up games. those of us that KNOW what RPG's really are will stay here and enjoy ourselves.

I love MUDs and especially iron realms 5/5. People just dont have the intelligence levels to actually try and play games like this. In the end though, its their loss.

Graphics? Graphic Effort? This game has probably had more effort put into it than the hyped-up RPGs like World of Warcraft. The descriptions, rooms, and people here take even more effort than writing a good book. I'd take a well-made game like this over some 'loolzorz' RPG with amazing graphics any day.

I don't think MUDs are dead. I think most people (from hardcore RPG and intelligent people to casual and ignorant) are dead to MUDs. RPGs use to be all about role-playing, you know, acting out a part.... but now, people forget what it means to really play a pen and paper game, much less a text based one. These kind were around long before good graphics. Either give MUDs a chance or walk away....

Ya know... I'm writing a chat-RPG with a partner and we already wrote about 3000 pages of sheer text... I don't mind writing a lot. But in a game? Let's be frank here... NOT A CHANCE! So this is my first comment here on Kongregate and I'm dissapointed it has to be a negative one. 1/5, which is very sad. This game would have had potential, if the author invested a little more graphic effort.

Consider this: I spent a half hour fighting Urial in Aetolia. I eventually won, boasting a bunch, then left. The next day, I wrote a creative short story about it and got a 100% on my Creative Writing semester exam. Moral of the story? Playing Iron Realms helps your grades.

Help Guide for problems:
Can't make a character? try another server or try unblocking the ports mentioned.
To much lag?:
The game is changing a bit right now, the servers are slower as normal, please be patient.
THIS SUCKS!: try to look further then the tutorial, the tutorials are boring! after that it gets much better.
FORGOT MY PASS!: did you register? if not you just lost your account bro. to bad, but just register next time, they warned you enough.

The rating is high because, believe it or not, there are literate people in the world. I played wow for all of a week before becoming bored to death and quitting. Now I'm hooked on this. I mean, compared to WOW or runescape, this is action-packed... just more texty.

the game lags the most on the tutorial, and if i starts lagging, don't retype the command, it will just make it lag even more.
