if anyone wants to learn all you can about the game, such as movement shortcuts, simply play all 4 tutorial's. all of them teach movement, but only achaea tells you about movement shortcuts. its a pain to type "Southwest" all the time, but you can simply type "Se" if you've played the achaea tutorial, so i recomend to take this tutorial if it's the first time you have ever played the game.

I've been playing Achaea for years and just recently saw it on Kongregate. An excellent game, particularly once you get accustomed to the point where you don't feel overwhelmed. A note to everyone trying it out for the first time: Relax, do what you can, and don't be afraid to ask for help. The more polite you are about asking, the more helpful you'll find the other players. You'll quickly get the hang of the game. Good luck!

one problem could be that you dident finish creating your character. if you create a profile, but don't finish creating the achual character, it is likely not to allow you to log in. however in few cases you can log back in before completing character creation, but it is very rare. create another file under the same settings, if this was the case, but to get it to work you MUST complete character creation. however, the tutorial isn't required to log back in. i made a grook, logged out one day, logged back in the next day (i was in the tutorial when i logged out), and i was at the same place.

not much into a game were you have to type your actions in. i like the games where you either click somwhere or press the arrow keys/ WASD keys to move. however i do think it is a pretty good game, since you can pretty much act out the scene in your mind. i give it 4/5. i would give the whole 5 if they let you simply click on an ajacent room on the map to move there

Gohog, the game is not easy. You just get used to it after playing more than 10 minutes, and if you have above a 5th grade reading level.

I must say that im not an adult and i still think this game is cool its a very strange game compared to the others on this site and for a game that doesnt use graphics its pretty entertaining and did you know that the first online games started with only text they were exactly like this one and some people still play them today im gonna add it to my favs and give it a big shot oh and for all the people that dont like it just play a diffrent game and for the adults who say "Only adults can play this game!"

I have been playing Achaea on and off for about two years now. This is one of the best multiplayer games I have seen, and I am extremely happy to see it has found its part in Kongregate. Way to go Iron Realms!

Hmm... my Lusternia herb cheat-sheet says it was.... faeleaf.
And if you can't secrete sumac, try secreting camus, since it's effectively an upgrade.

basic gameplay is more powerfull than graphics. I have played for 22 hours now. I got hungry ingame once and started eating random things in my pack and got the sixth sense

I've been playing the game for 15 minutes so far, and it's pretty good so far. As much as a game with graphics is always nice, and text based game can go beyond any graphic.
I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes to read and likes RPG's. 5/5 for everything i played so far.

The command NORTH EAST (with a space) seems to work fine in Achaea, but it's possible it's disabled during the intro tutorial. Unless warlord was talking about another game, in which case I wouldn't know...
