Nice of the purely text-based game to promote proper English, isn't it? Seeing as how it's "northeast" and not "north east"
And Rex, you're just as bad as the constant "No graphics? This game sucks!" comments. It's good that you're promoting the game, but there's good promotion and bad promotion. And insulting the people that don't like the game is bad promotion. Act more like an adult if you want to represent the rest of us on this commet board, please.

I LOVE this game...But I guess it's because I'm an old school gamer who had a hell of a lotta fun playing Zork, Myst, and roleplaying.

Babbzz, you don't havr to type in caps. When people tell you to "HELP ___" as opposed to "help ____", it is because when they talk in caps it means that the words are a command that you should type.

Some very good points, but many others are part of roleplaying. Most of the rules are located in HELP files, but others are player rules as part of playing their roles (if you weren't a newbie you probably would have just been attacked, instead of told that you were trespassing).
I would have to disagree that it is not like real life, these city states are at war, if (back when they were split) an East German walked into West Germany what do you think would happen?

When i was playing the game, i accidentally trespassing, i suppose the tutorial doesn't state this as well.
Those people in the city warn that if i trespass, i could get killed while i just go there and buy a backpack!!!
The rules are so strict and i don't how many problems could inpose to a newbie..
What about change it to if a player trespass and kill even its weakest animal, they get killed.
Game is different from reality, can't we make it simpler and easier for a noob, perhaps, in the tutorial, a tutor can list
all the game rules for a newbie, so that we know we can't do this this this.., we can't go here, there and whatever..

I feel like i am a begger..
so what if i willing to ask for help. Will there be someone really come and save me, most of them busy playing and who will have the time to save me while there might be so many similar cases out there in the world????
My main point is, for the tutorial, it simply too short, it should be designed in the way:
1. some of the monsters listed for newbies
2.supply newbie some herbs so that we can save ourselves when paralysed/poison or whatever..
3. as i mention, know how to determine whether player is stronger than the monster target

Talking about the game Imperidian...
1.Game too harsh
Reason being: For death, need to get tokens to revive, for newbie(me) only can buy 1 and i wonder, where could i find another one?
reason 2: attack monsters, for the tutorial, they just teach us how to attack but they neglect on how to know whether the player can handle the monster which is important because
if you are dead and went to underworld, either you get tokens, find the passage or someone help you..
Next, there are a lot of injurys while attacking, one of them is paralysed. I am still a newbie before i post this and i quit the game because of paralysing..
I have to get a certain herb which i don't have so i have to get a guild or city member to give me one..

Most of you probably don't have a taste for text-based RPGs or MUDs. They become great games once you understand the commands and make a few friends. If anyone here plays the Discworld MUD, leave a shout on my page please.

Hyathin: If you were in the introduction (which I assume you were as it's the only part of the game that "forces" you to do things) you can change the speed by using SPEEDUP and SLOWDOWN as commands.

It's like the game is forcing me to move at ITS pace. I'm trying to read the text at a slow pace and use my IMAGINATION like they say, and it keeps advancing on its own or pushing me to do something. It's maddening. I quit on it after a few minutes of this. Game designers take note.
